Spain already has an advanced position in the desalination sector and in other related spaces. Is Israel going to catch up and become a superpower in this space? What is the program for doing so? Also, inexpensive water independence within 1948 Israel would be a major strategic advantage for Israel, and is greatly to be desired. Re #1 yeah :-(

Sounds like a conference that Crown Prince Willem Alexander of the Netherlands should attend. For lack of other employment till Queen Beatrix steps down he has chosen 'water management' as his field of 'expertise'. He could tour a few water projects(Kinneret?) and enquire about regional water policy. Unfortunately he would probably want to hold a speech to the conference as well. By the way: water is more than 'business', clean water is not a commodity that should be sold to the highest bidder.
