Go back and read my comment - I did not mention doing anything in the name Judiasm. Apparently the Hamas spokesman thinks "Jews and Israelis" should be targets. Aside from Israeli Jews I can only assume I am part of that group, since I am also a Jew. I suppose he is also including Israeli Arabs too. The whole point of RECOGNIZING Israel is NOT the words! The point is that Hamas makes a clear and convincing statement to its own people and to the world that it has given up on its genocidal dream (a.k.a. nightmare) of destroying Israel. The words themselves are NOTHING. The reason why recognition is essential is that to successfully put -- to its own people -- the case for recognizing Israel, Hamas members would be forced to change their mindset to one that was not irrevocably genocidal. They would have to introduce into the radical Islamist dialog a set of concepts that would allow coexistence with Israel and indeed with Jews, middle eastern minorities and westerners. Without recognition, such a change will not happen, and there will be no end to terrorism or to the required military response. This "compromise" does NOTHING to achieve such things, and is therefore utterly worthless. The reason they refuse to recognize Israel is that they still hope to destroy it, still plan to destroy it, and cannot conceive of a world in which they would ever accept its existence. Plain. And.
