1. Same !!!
Observer   (05.16.06)
This gus (Abbas) does not know what he is talking about. It is fairly clear that Israel has its own agenda and they are working on it. It is really shame that the US is following the Israeli demands all the way. It is really hard to tell the difference between Israel and US attitudes, they are equal. Hence, it is naieve to think that US could be a fair mediator.
2. Start Changing Your Education System
(05.16.06)
You cant stop an ideology with pieces of paper. Trust me Abbas will get assinated if he talks with Olmert Israel as Sadat was killed for gaining back the Sinai.
3. Joke!
Art ,   Sydney, Australia   (05.16.06)
What a joke! Abbas no longer has any power or any influence. He has made many peace promises before, and never once has he been able to deliver, not even a single day of peace. He is now only trying to shore up his weak position. When he did have a bit of power and influence, he choose not to use it, but simply stood by and allowed terrorism to flourish under his nose. He's a useless appeaser and should just be ignored. The only benefit in Olmert meeting him, would be to divide the Pals and cause more infighting amongst themselves - which i guess, in itself, isn't a bad thing. Ayalon is right. Forget about peace for now.
4. Pointless
Daniel ,   Australia   (05.16.06)
There is no point talking to Abbas. He either has no power to stop the violence or he chooses not to. Either way, he is irrelevant. And for Putin...lets just say he should have no say in the "peace process", as he simply cannot be trusted. He is a two-faced dog that hates the chechins, but at the same time supports the Palestinians (who are fully behind their chechin brothers). Where-ever they can make a buck, the russians will go...they have no morals.
5. ABBAS: Little Jihad is Over, BIG JIHAD STARTS
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (05.16.06)
Military analysts warned giving away Gaza would create Hamastan. Ignoring Israel's security, Israeli leaders chose to ruthlessly ethnically cleanse the 10,000 hated infidel Jews and gave Gaza as a gift to the terrorists. Abbas tells the truth about his genocidal intentions in Arabic. When Abbas gives speeches in English the U.S. requires Abbas does not reveal the PLO/Palestinian Authority goal of Islamic conquest of all Israel. Abbas: Little Jihad is over, Big Jihad starts http://www.israelnationalnews.com/news.php3?id=75030 The peace process is part of global jihad.

state that can't be dealt with. Even the capital (Jerusalem) issue can be solved.
8. What ab a unitary state with a parliament divided equally

and a regime built on equality situated in Jerusalem.
9. talks: israel proposes and palestinians reject, and so on
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (05.16.06)
talks for the palestinians consists of israel being the waiter serving up various deals which the palestinians "study" and finally reject as "impossible". then, they expect israel to go back to the beginning and come up with a new plan which, as usual, the palestinians again reject. and in the mean while there are bombings of busses to show their displeasure at not being given everything they want, coupled with incredulous whining about israel protecting herself against the terror. yes, these are the talks which the palestinians want and expect. if there is going to be any real progress at all, the palestinians are going to have to be the ones who suggest the solutions for peace for a change, not israel. but since pigs will fly before that will happen, we'll just wait for the unilateral moves by israel. it will work because i doubt the palestinians can hate israel more than they already do and, at least, israel will be able to protect herself better. maybe the palestinians will finally grow up and actually make peace. i wouldn't bet my life on it, though.
