1. einstein's comments on wwlll and wwllll
debra ,   usa   (05.21.06)
einstein said, " i don't know what the third world war will be fought with, but the fourth will be fought with sticks and stones." it is america's moral duty to bomb iran's nuclear factories NOW to save the world from wwlll. if america doesn't have the backbone, israel will have to move against iran. see the evil in iran clearly for what it is--death.

What's going on now with Iran, and what has been going on in Israel since the Oslo war, reminds me very much of jews complaining about ourselves of having died "too easily" during the Holocoust. Besisdes finding it troublesome and insulting having people judging others in that situation whithout having experienced it first hand, I do find this situation very similar, yet, in my own generation and in the country I live. Some people and mostly the government is very tranquil about having having us, israelis murdered by the thousands in different suicide bombings and yet doing nothing best than appeasing the wolf. And now someone has the nerve to post an explanatory article of how radioactive radiation, sometimes can prove positive. Are we Israelies (or the ruling left) so coward?????? That's our article to such a real threat???? What, yes WHAT do we gain for waiting another few months (hopefully no more than than that) for diplomacy to" work"?? Do we still fear international condemnation if we wipe them out from the map first????? Honestly who care?, except for USA no one likes us, no matter how suicidal we are towards our oun people. I think the US will be very happy about it. And if not, don't we have a right' a real mitzva to defend ourselves? Threats have the same wheight as the attact itself! Wake up! Here's where we see how self destructing a G-dless ruling left can be. All they believe in, trust and depend on, is on other human beings, they have no direction, no guidance and no morals in matters of the destiny of the Jewish People... so we are still waitng...

The professor's belief that Iran is showing the IAEA an unfinished bomb is conclusive evidence that he is woefully ill-informed.
4. Iran Nuke
Brod ,   USA   (05.21.06)
In matters pertaining to existential threat, Israel must never depend on other countries to deal with the country threatening her. She has to take action on her own to defend herself.

No. It testifies to the fact that everyone else is very dumb.
7. is Prof. Zeev Alfassi for real?
sk ,   USA   (05.21.06)
Not only is this guy not qualified to talk about the effects of radiation on the populace, I have troubling believing he even exists. Could anyone really suggest nuclear fallout as prophylaxis for cancer? I guess Hiroshima must be cancer-free!
8. The day after
Marcel Abel ,   Thoiry, France   (05.22.06)
We know that geopolitics is not easy at all. The USA, Great Britain, France should put pressure on Mr Putin and the Chinese President to rapidly set up a coalition aimed at controlling the mad objectives of Iran. All people have already said it : time lost for us, time gained by those who want to destroy Israel. Shall we wait until it's too late? « We supplicate all rulers not to remain deaf to the cry of mankind. Let them do everything in their power to save peace. By so doing they will spare the world the horrors of a war that would have disastrous consequences, such as nobody can foresee. » Pope John XXIII (oct. 1962)
9. Wilder and wilder
Alex Patico ,   Columbia, MD, USA   (05.23.06)
The proliferation of half-truths and outright fabrication seems to be accelerating. We have recently had "news" that Jews in Iran must wear a yellow tag to identify themselves (this was quickly debunked, but some will continue to spread the rumor). Here Prof. Alfassi seems to think that radiation is no big deal (tell that to the victims of the Chernobyl accident!), and he, like many others, makes assumptions about Iran's weaponry that sound very much like Iraq's WMD, suspicious tubes and yellow-cake uranium all over again. How many times will the world go to war over a Tonkin Gulf, an assassination in the Balkans, or nukes in Baghdad? Those who actually die had no interest in the enterprise in the first place; those who pushed us to war always survive the war -- and profit from it.
