6. I knew it! Here it comes....
Judith ,   Haifa   (05.23.06)
"Despite the American objection to the plan at this point, Israeli officials said that Rice expressed great interest in the issue of a unilateral withdrawal." "this point" will tomorrow be in the past. America will accept Olmert and Livni's plan, cuz they know that there is no real alternative. Abbas is a pleasant enough fellow but he does not control the mob guerillas or the PA.
7. With all due respect....
(05.23.06)
The money raised for all these walls and disangegmants c ould have paid many pals to move to other arabs countrys. Most arab countrys kicked jews out with nothing to take with them when Israel was declared. So we will give them money. This land is too small to split. It won't be good for anyone. Pals will be locked in only to border Egypt. Israel will pretty much be cut in two. Lets do everyone a favor, lets all chip in and send a pal family to a nicer, safer place.
8. Of course the US agrees with convergence
Jenny ,   NYC   (05.23.06)
They may even finance it behind the scenes. However, they will not publicly endorse it at this point b/c they still must appease the Saudi/Arab oil dictators. They also don't need any more trouble in Iraq. The Arab dictators of course oppose convergence b/c that actually may resolve a few problems (not all by any means) and would allow Israel to look better in the eyes of the world b/c they won't be looked at as "occupiers." That is the LAST thing Arab dictators want. G-d forbid the world (or their own people) should start pointing the finger at them for once. Expect Iran to turn up the heat even higher.
9. No American money for removing Jews from their homeland!
Daisy ,   USA   (05.23.06)
10. #3 typical
gm ,   south africa   (05.23.06)
They won't give you a visa because you will then say that the USA is occupying your land and then you will try steal it and cause unrest and want all Americans to convert to islam. You behave so typically. Instead of trying to improve your own situation, you look to something else that appears to be better and try adapt that to suit your requirements. Change occurs regardless, don't work against it, work with it, it's a lot easier.
11. The same lie resaid
Muhammad-Ali ,   Montreal   (05.23.06)
"there is no real Palestinian partner for peace" They say the same lie, even last yer when Fatah was ruling. Do they want the Pals to surrender, maybe it works wit the Native Americans but no with the Pals. In addition, Olmert said he will implement the plan with our w/o agreement with the Pals. Also, the US needs to talk abt herself since she's not a peace country but a war one.
12. Muhammad Ali: what are you smoking?
Andy   (05.23.06)
...a partner does not START a so-called "intifada," also known as war, as your darling money stealing Arafat did, at a time when the State of Palestine was as close to reality as it ever had been. Aren't you seething that Arafat blew it so badly? I am. But all I see is hero worship on the Palestinian side. A partner does not allow, encourage and finance suicide bombers as your impotent Abbas did. And Hamas' positions are well known enough not to even warrant explanation. So no. There has never been a Palestinian partner in peace. Put down the arms. Acknowlege Israel's right to exist. Pull up a chair and talk. That's a partner in peace. Look at the gorgeous Tel Aviv skyline. Look at Israelis having a great life in their country. And think that Palestinians can do the same with compromise and hard work. Think of Ramallah and Jenin centers of commerce and industry. Think of the Gaza coast lined with hotels packed with tourists and Palestinians on jet skis. That's what's lacking: Palestinians dedicated to those dreams. Believe me, Israelis would be happy if those were your dreams and the dreams of your leaders.
13. What money??
joe   (05.23.06)
CondomLiza can discuss, but she can't pay another 10 to 15 billion. The USA is broke. The USA is no more credit-worthybecause of the huge debts. http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/ And then the zionist-inspired (oh yes!-Wolfowitz-Perle-Keith) Iraq-Robbery: Almost reaching the cost of 285 billion, adding an extra 9 billion each month and rising. http://nationalpriorities.org/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=182 All it needs are a few "Katrinas" this season (hopefully in the BibleBelt), and Russia, Iran and Venezuela starting trading their oil in other currencies than the dollar, the Greenback will be worthless. Oh holy shit, in what a mess You got in!!!!
