1. AMNESTY - Rearranged
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (05.23.06)
Rearrange their letters: ANTY-SEM.... The rest you can figure out for yourselves.
2. Let me be the first to say .....
Chai ,   Israel   (05.23.06)
Who cares what amnesty says.. they don't live here
3. Nothing New in this Report
richard Hitchings ,   methil   (05.23.06)
The Israelis alway want to demonise Hamas ..Fatah or indeed just any kind of Palestinian who resists the will of Israel as Terrorist.... while in fact the Zionist State is a Terrorist State.... but theres nothing really new in this report.....Anyone who follows events in Palestine/ Israel knows that State Terror is a far worse Evil than Resistance to state Terror.
4. to #1
martin ,   Czech republic   (05.23.06)
Amnesty is anti-Semite,the Israelies enjoy using this word in every vacation when someone says something that they don't want to hear. They have the rights to kill, destroy and to occupy and the rest of the world should accept this fact otherwise they become anti semite
5. Amnesty Intl are hypocrites
John ,   NZ   (05.23.06)
What about the rights of those Islamic women. Honour killings, stoning to death, teenage suicide bombers. They dare not say a word, don't they?!!!
6. Amnesty
Brod ,   USA   (05.23.06)
Amnesty is made up of loonies. They never condemn the crimes committed by Islamist-Jihadist terrorists. They have always been anti-Israel. Israel should investigate them and expose who they are.
7. amnesty
Yehu Ben Zohar ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (05.23.06)
Another hate filled condemnation of Israel by the left wing fanatics at Amnesty. They manage to take issue with everything Israel does, while completely ignoring the suicide bombings, knifings, and hate indoctrination and child abuse of the PA. Not one single Arab country offers its citizens the rights and priviledges that Israel does, but do you think we would get any credit, no just condemnation. Nothing changes. Israel remains alone, held to a standard no other nation is held to. A classic definition of Anti-semetism. We will neve receive the approval of the nations, unless we roll over and let them kill us. Why bother?
8. How is children = under 18?
(05.23.06)
According to the Palestinian R.O.E minimal age for suicide bombers is 14 years old, minimal age for carrying weapons is 12 and minimal age for engaging IDF soldiers with rocks, petrol bombs and pipe bombs is 10. How does Amensty have the nerve to call everyone under 18 "Children".
9. something new?
shimon ,   madrid   (05.23.06)
definitively not. it's been a long time since many international groups have began to slam israel and it's always the same story: poor palestinians, bad israelis. I agree that the tzahal some times acts with too much violence, but the palestinians always act with too much violence. PS. By the way...if you are a 16 years palestinian boy with a gun in your hands, you are supposed not to be a threat for a 20 years old israeli hayyal? And please teach me how to kill a terrorist hidden among civilians wothout any collateral victim...it sounds like a miracle
10. It's all the Jews' fault anyway so what is the surprise here
Rupert ,   UK   (05.23.06)
The Palistinians are just poor innocent victims - dont you know?
11. not Amnesty, but Amnesia International
Former Belgian ,   Greater Tel Aviv   (05.23.06)
12. Richard-know your facts
ash ,   gush etzion   (05.23.06)
It's funny how you seem to be casting aspersions without a rudimentary knowledge of the facts. Firstly, the first palestinian terrorist entity was created in 1964, yes thats three years before any occupation. Secondly, Hamas wants all of Israel and will not recognise Israel, regardless of any "cease-fires". Isrealis on the whole have already accepted the reality of a Palestinian State. Thirdly, the Palestinians would have already had a state if they had actually accepted something rather than a;ways reject everything in 1947 and more recently in 2001. Fourthly, Hamas do not just want to resist Israel. It seeks to create an Islamist state where Women, Homosexuals and non-Muslims will have lesser rights and then incorporate it into a wider Islamic State. READ ABOUT IT!! It's quite easy to be ever so slightly knowledgeable.
13. AMNESTY- All Monies Nicely Enhanse Stupid Terroist Youth!
ambrosine shitrit ,   london   (05.23.06)
Ha ha ha doesnt suprise me in the least! What do i think of amnesty ? Whos amnesty? the problem is that they support all terroist states, and countries, and i wouldnt give a PENNY to them. There they are with there little helpers on the uk streets, shaking their tins, and all that money is going to those nice countries, who repeatedly support, fund and enhance TERROR! oh by the way amnesty,,,, Are the Palestinians that stupid as to not make their country "functionable"? Do they not know how to generate money, feed themselves, and basically live a "human, normal life, without killing and destroying others aswell as themselves??" I will be mentioning amnesty this week friday 7pm uk time on nettalkradio.co.uk. Give it a listen. Its about time, Amnesty was exposed for the supporters of terrorists that they are. Or is that against their human rights to tell the truth about that organisation??
14. 4 is not in touch with reality ;-
(05.23.06)
15. this is great , but do you think they give a crap...........
aa ,   london   (05.23.06)
16. Objective criticism
Micha ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (05.23.06)
Amnesty is an excellent organization. Just because it comes over a little strong against Israel does not mean that it is antisemitic. Israel is not beyond criticism. I am an Israeli and I love and believe in our country. However we should be able to face objective criticism.
17. Discredited organization
(05.23.06)
18. nobody cares about amnesty anymore
Intedi Nensak ,   Stockholm, Sweden   (05.23.06)
Amnesty, much like the UN, has become a bad joke. Nobody respects them anymore. But this isn't about antisemitism, they're critical of lots of countries for pathetic reasons. Their report on my country was also highly critical and they whined about how we deported some terrorists and that we don't let all asylum seekers stay here blablabla. the usual crap in other words. as far as i'm concerned, being criticized by Amnesty is just a confirmation you're doing the right thing.
19. #4
rahamim ,   Israel   (05.23.06)
It is not that every time some one criticizes israel we shout "antisemite". look at the facts just about every country/organization in the world criticizes israel of "crimes" which there are much more guilty culprits. you talk of occupation? what about china, syria, france(corsica), and russia. you talk of killing? why dont you all condemn somalia, sudan, rawanda, sierra leone, algeria, etc... who are guilty of far and away much worse crimes against humanity. I could go into more detail but your 'liberal' jew-hating brain would just ignore reality and push the anti israel/jewish agenda to the forefront. like it or not the singling out of israel each time is the most obvious scapegoating form of antisemitism! blame the jews that will make your conscience feel better.
20. Ynet
Ephraim Rauch ,   Tel Aviv   (05.23.06)
By putting this at the head of the YnetNews.com page without any comment, Ynet shows that it considers the stuff published by these thugs justified and legitimate, and that it agrees with them. If we will not learn from our enemies how to deal with traitors, we will not survive.
21. Rupert #10
Brod ,   USA   (05.23.06)
You do not know what you are talking about. You do not know the history of the Middle East from ancient time to modern nor do you know the Holy Bible. You seem to glorify the killing of Israelis by Arab Islamist-Jihadist thugs, criminals and mass murderers. Only an Islamist-Jihadist terrorist will think that Israel has no right to defend herself against her killers
22. Amnesty International
Wallace Edward Brand ,   Alexandria, VA USA   (05.23.06)
Soldiers and settlers who committed offences against "Palestinians" were rarely prosecuted because most of the complaints were baseless. "Palestinian" murders of innocent Jewish civilians or their children are never prosecuted by the "Palestinians".
23. Micha should move out of Israel
(05.23.06)
24. #16 makes a good point plus.....
Andy   (05.23.06)
I need to see the report. There is ALOT that Israel does right, like intel and nabbing terrorist scumbags. But there are legitimate gripes about the way Tzahal and the security service handles other issues like protests, etc. Let's see what they're saying specifically - Israel is a State and there are international standards. It doesn't have to be all or nothing even in the middle east.
25. Amnesty Intl.
Connie ,   USA   (05.23.06)
This story should run on cbn.com. yeah, I know, Pat Robertson can talk off the top of his head sometimes but they have exellent news reports. They dont lean to the left like the major media does.
26. Amnesty International..who??!
Isac ,   Florida   (05.23.06)
27. Richard Hitchings
Arie   (05.23.06)
"everyone knows that state terror is a far worse evil than resistance" That is correct and that is why hamass will be destroyed. Their very mandate is terrorism not just against the State of Israel but against theoir own palis as is seen in their everyday activities. Just read the headlines: hamass tries to assassinate fatah leader; hamass holds demonstartion in Gaza City and then blows up explosive killing a dozen little kids. The list goes on, but that list would obviously obfuscat Richards need to demonize Jews in typical hitlerian fasion! As they say in your house richie - Sieg Heil!
28. And not one word
Arie   (05.23.06)
regarding pali terrorism in firing qassams at schools or blowing little kids in their carriages. Typical blame the Jew attitude by a bunch of left-wing wannabes! The only item AI misses is placing the swastika imprint at the end of their reports
29. Amnesty run by A muslim woman what do you expect
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (05.23.06)
Amnesty International Secretary-. General Irene Kahn,: She is the first Muslim woman General Sec. - from guess where - Bangladeshi decend WRITE TO HER: http://web.amnesty.org/contacts/contact_us/eng-iec
30. Irene Khan Sec. Amnesty Intl. Profile
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (05.23.06)
Irene Zubaida Khan (born 1956 in Dhaka, Bangladesh) is the seventh and current Secretary General of human rights organization Amnesty International. Bangladeshi Khan grew up in a relatively wealthy family in the poverty and civil war-racked developing nation, at the time when it achieved independence as Bangladesh from Pakistan. The civil war and the human rights abuses that occurred during it, helped shape teenage Khan's activist viewpoint, as she fled as a refugee to a school in Northern Ireland. Khan studied law at the University of Manchester. She went on to the USA to study the subject at Harvard Law School, specialising in public international law and human rights. She next joined the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in 1980, and she worked in a variety of positions at Headquarters and in field operations to promote the international protection of refugees. From 1991-95 she was Senior Executive Officer to Mrs. Sadako Ogata, then UN High Commissioner for Refugees. She was appointed as the UNHCR Chief of Mission in India in 1995, the youngest UNHCR country representative at that time, and in 1998 headed the UNHCR Centre for Research and Documentation. She led the UNHCR team in the Republic of Macedonia during the Kosovo crisis in 1999, and was appointed Deputy Director of International Protection later that year. Khan joined Amnesty International in August 2001 as Secretary General. In her first year in office, Irene reformed AI's response to crisis situations, personally leading high level missions to Pakistan during the bombing of Afghanistan, to Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza Strip, just after the Israeli occupation of Jenin, and to Colombia before the presidential elections in May 2003. She stood in Jenin - calling it a masscre - so what do we expect ??????? Having photo ops all over in order to spread LIES about Israel. She is the first woman, the first Asian, and the first Muslim to hold the position of Amnesty International Secretary General.
