It seems to me that you are completely ignoring the modern history of Lebanon as well as tarring a whole nation with a brush dipped in paint of your own colour. The fragmented Lebanese nation, like Israel, has deep communal splits. The fact that they are Arabs seems to have coloured your opinions to the point where you cannot believe that they might have shades of opinion. Of course, viewing your neighbouring countries in terms other than those of scorn and contempt is obviously something you are not prepared to do. It's so much easier to kill a few and then claim that the aftermath is simply caused by congenital Arab anger.

All of us weho took part in the Lebanon War of 1982 and actually talked to the Lebanese, have no doubt how deep those splits go.
