Official: Realignment methods unlike Gaza    Ahiya Raved
1. Excuse me...
maybe that's me failing to understand the logic, but I would like to ask again:why this which has been so wonderfully planed to be implemented on Jews is not implemented on arabs instead? I understand they are higher in numbers, but it could be done in a much more extended time.Or not?Or why not?

2. Keren is exactly right.
What this progrom organizer is saying is that incentives can be manipulated to produce population transfer without the use of the military. I'm not sure I buy it, but if it works for Jews, it would be easier and cheaper to do it with Arabs, as they have much, much lower personal wealth, and land in Israeli developed areas is much pricier than land in the 22 other Arab countries.

3. Making it great for the ones already removed
B"H The great way to promote further withdrawals is to fully pay up above and beyond on the current uprooting. Legislation can be passed, but implementation is the proof in the pudding. As quoted by Giladi in the article, "and I don't think the government should repeat something that we were unsuccessful at." Be successful at that relocation. That is the measure whether it is just pudding or if there is substance to the legislation. If legislation is simply passed as a motivation to uprooting innocent Jews, I think it is not going to impress Jews who saw the last check bounce to move anywhere. Plus, Jews are not all dependent on Israeli cash to operate, and can be very profitable, generating revenue. Who wants to cut that off, when defense budgets are slashed for lack of funds and cancer patients cannot get their drugs for lack of funds?

4. just to add something...
if this plan is implemented on arabs,of course it would require an economical sacrifice for Israel,in the case foreign help would not be enough or would not come,BUT on the other hand ,will bring hope and bright future perspectives for Israel and for those starting a new life far for conflicts.
keren ,   sao paulo   (05.31.06)
5. Where did this guy come from???
Giladi's comments are so amazing- where does one start? He compares the Hamas to the Jews - we kept the same beliefs for 2000 years and that is reason for the Hamas not to change? Isnt' he even the least bit embarrassed to draw the comparison - Jews have always wanted peace - what doe sthe Hamas live for if not to conquer and kill??? And what compensation does he think to offer the people in Yosh? And after seeing how the people of Gush Katif were lied to, made to jump through hoops and still not get even the most minimal of compensation - certainly not what the homes and businesses were worth - why should anyone believe him, or Olmert, or anyone else? Why don't we start by demanding that the Arabs stop the killing, keep their promises, and if not - then they can leave - and Saudi Arabia and others have more than enough money to pay them.

6. reallyingmen
The offspring of Neville Chamberlain is flourshing in Israel today .A sure sign that another major war is coming there. Appeasment by many other names is disengagement ,realignment, ect, ect.

7. barrriers to next withdrawal
the planned withdrawal has some barriers to being implemented: 1. the US does not like the idea. they saw the disaster that happened after the gaza withdrawal and bush made it quite clear he is not enthusiastic about this. such a withdrawal will bring hamas and their likes to power in jordan and (later) to egypt. 2. it costs too much. $10 billion by olmerts prediction (certainly more) while it is true that there is much to gain politically by demonizing religious jews/settlers, are most israelis willing to upset the US, spent gigantic sums of money when it is certain to cause an inordinate loss of jewish lives and to make life in israel a living hell?

11. #9 Weren't you sick yesterday?
Didn't you vow not to read YNET any more?? Didn"t you say readers of Ynet are all IDIOTS? (your own words) . Don't be one of those idiots The difference between American Natives and you arabs, is that the American ones never STARTED a Six Day War in 1967, to wipe the rightful owners, only to end up being the big loosers you are. We were making do in our macroscopic part of Jewish land, until you thought, "lets kill them and inherit them". Fortunately The One Upstairs decided differently from you. Use Israeli technology, medice, social welfare, culture and freedom as long as it lasts. You wouldn like to miss it . Believe me I
gabriela ben ari ,   jerusalem   (05.31.06)
12. #9; You are native to Arabia! Jews are native to Israel.
Israel is historic Palestine which has nothing to do with the Jews.
