The televisions, imported by Israelis and resold to PA importers for sale to end users, were shipped through the Karni Crossing. The upswing in television purchases in the PA is apparently related to the start of the soccer World Cup in Europe, which is broadcast throughout the Middle East. An IDF spokesman confirmed the report from Karni and added that 400 trucks loaded with food and medicines enter the Gaza Strip every day. Foreign Minister Tzippy Livni yesterday told American envoy David Welch that the Hamas-led PA government refused Israel's offer of 50 million shekels worth of medicines, instead demanding that Israel provide the cash equivalent from out of the tax revenue Israel began withholding since the Hamas took over the PA.

If the Arabs had not tried to setroy Israel in 1948, 1967 and 1973 yjere would be no problem. Until 1967 the West Bank was ruled by Jordan and Gaza by Egypt. As for UN resolutions, what about 183 which was the resolution which founded Israel and has only been recognises by Egypt & Jordan and no other Arab country? Resolution 242 said Israel should give up land in return for recognition and normalization of relations with the Arab world. So far not much movement from the Arab side then.

What about all the Palestinians who bought goods from private israeli merchants during the last 10 years and never paid? Should they pay? And should Hamas pay for the damages to schools, greenhouses, malls,cafes, buses that are caused by your suicide bombers?

I know that when I show the pro-Palestinian Jews (and there are distressly frequent) in my community this important article, they will claim the medicines were useless. I am a physician and would appreciate knowing the names of the medicines offered. Thanks

This Palestinian refusal to accept medicine is outrageous. Their aims for the money are clearly not to alleviate the situation of their citizens. This should be broadcast high and wide.
