Two things, first of all their nobel prize was not exactly in cancer research. It was in the effects of H. Pylori on it. And if you REALLY looked carefully, almost every other Nobel prize for medicine came from NY. Almost, not all. Anyway, second is quite simple: Israel has the highest amount of paper publications per capita on the planet. Most of the research facilities in the US for wahtever field have branches in Israel that produce outstanding work. Once again, your computer/cellphone/AIM were invented there. And yea, it is a leader in biomeds....once again...half the antibodies I use are produced there. OUCH. Dear Gosha, purely and simply because you are such a fool I will respond to your "trump card" claims that modern computers were developed in Israel. For your information the worlds first and second programmable electronic computers "Colossus1 & 2" was developed in Britain during WW2. Both machines were designed and constructed by a Post Office research team headed by Tommy Flowers at Dollis Hill and then transported to the secret code breaking facillity at Bletchley Park. The first all in one desktop computer (HP9830) which was marketed primarily to scientists and engineers was designed and manufactured by Hewlett Packard USA. The first personal computer "Simon" was invented by a Edmund.C.Berkley of Berkley and Associates Boston & New York. In case you didn't read the earlier post, the reference to the computer being invented in Israel was about the Pentium processor, not about the history of all computers. I said YOUR computer, not THE computer. Englash can be such a tricky language out there in Oz I guess.

I didn't realize all Aussies suffered from anal retentive disorders. Oh Well. Leave it to you to stick to a typo. Anyway, good that you looked it up. That's the whole point. What you missed though was that yes it's true USA, Intel made Pentium but the fact of the matter is the technology was developed by the Israeli branch by Israelis. Intel is based in the US, DUH it's gonna get credit overall. And I'm fairly sure Pentium M was wholly developed there. Could be wrong. On the other hand, I wish more people were as thorough as you maybe then Israel wouldn't be charged with human rights violations and instead Palestinians would be.
