well i think you are correct. you are darned if you do and darned if you dont. evrry budy is aginst you from the start. so go your own way and let the other nations pick up the paracites welfare. i am also displesed with our aid to them, we have enough parasites here in our country so why do we need to suport more of these palestinians. good luck!
32. ivorce the PA
Ida Nudel ,   Israel   (06.17.06)
Dear Mr.Guy Bechor, we did not tried everything with the PA- that is the main problem of the Israeli governments. We never tried to refuse to follow the fantasies of our intellectuals and oligarchy. They invested small money to PA and hope, or may be already have , big money. We, as a society, refuse to give to our children more or less modern education, but silently provide PA shahidim with money to be healthy. We provid them, free of any charge, with woter, roads, electricity, medical help, our port and we pay them every month US$ 50,000.000 a rent or something also. Our intellectuals have no sympasy or care for the jewis population, but very much afraid of the world oppinion. They so easily turned down more that 2000 years old dreem of their forefathers for an independent Jewish state insted to try to find a compromise with our daughter Christianity and granddaugter Islam. Our intellectiuals turn their hate against own people - the way to a new national disaster.

Stupidity spreads around in Western countries. Israel is not an island.
35. air defense of sedrot is not working
Big Al Hudson ,   Talketna, Alaska   (06.18.06)
A timed date for the Palestineans to develop their own power and water supplies should be set which is reasonable. But the author's answer on defense is absurd. A rocket hit the school in Sedrot and the IDF's tied hands have kept it from stopping them. Air defense is not going to stop the rockets. Stop dreaming and get real. You need to use B-19s. If there is a complete seperation, complete war and victory should be the complement. Carpet bombing of the areas from which the rockets are stored and fired should begin after announcing to the world that the rockets have to be stopped. Shelling of every inch of these areas as well. If that does not work, how do you achieve complete victory and break the will of the Arabs to fight? Through a WWII scenario. If you do not achieve complete victory, you have no peace. This is not divorse where each person goes their merry way. This is war where one party is defeated and one party victorious. Negotiated settlements are pie in the sky Euro babble. The same Europe whose cowardly behavior allowed Hitler to win. The Europeans should shove their politicians heads in the sand and mind their own frickin business.
36. When your mad ex-spouse moves in next door
Barry   (06.18.06)
Gaza's main problem is that it is not and never will be economically independent. Israel is not responsible for that (depite what Israel haters say) and there is nothing Israel can do to change that situation. Israel must resist all pressure to allow Palestinians into its economy and should push for Palestinians to be given access to employment in the EU, Canada, Australia and New Zealand
37. just one problem...
Seraphya ,   Alon shvut, Israel   (06.19.06)
If the palestinians are given complete control then they will bring in big weapons to Gaza through land sea and air, and we will have no way to stop them, becuase after all it is there country. However this article's point was the reason that I supported disengagement while everything around me was orange. I was very upset when Sharon's disengagement started becoming more and more bilateral, the point should be that we are trying to cut ourselves off once and for all, that is until we reach a point where the palestinians say "we really want peace" and mean it. That is, that they don't expect conseccions from us in return for begrudging acceptance of Israel, that is blackmail, not a peace process. I am talking about a situation where two people come to the table to pursue a goal of mutual coexistance.
