Police launch investigation over suspicions that Israelis sold equipment, transferred intelligence information to Kurds in northern Iraq
Now, did Israelis sell to "Iraq" impying the government of Iraq or did they sell to Kurds who are fighting against the government of Iraq?
hmmmm?

4. No Surprises Here
Gee, what a surprise! Where have you people been for the past three years? The Israelis have been acting as U.S. agents in northern Iraq since even before the war began in the spring of 2003. Seymour Hersh has written about this arrangement several times. Israeli special forces units have engaged in actions against Iraqi insurgents, alongside Kurdish forces and even independent of them, many, many times. For a country that prides itself on its mastery of intelligence matters, its general population remains pitifully misinformed.

5. addendum to # 4
Nothing will come of this investigation. But, the disclosure of the Israeli/Kurd arrangement suggests that some elements in the Israeli government want to embarrass the Bush regime. For what purpose - one can only guess.
