Let's fact it, New York City is the center of Jewish economic life, including the diamond business. Anyone walking along the streets in mid-Manhattan know that. It's time for many more conventions, with a majority of Jewish interests, to be held in Israel. Convention business is good (see new center planned, with hotels for downtown Los Angeles). Additionally, I would like more businesses (majority Jewish participation) relocate their headquarter to Israel. Labor is not a problem in the M.E...Jordan could supply workers..and what better way to aid Israel's PR? Even some Palestinians could participate..notwithstanding Hamas and Islamic Jihad. Let's marginalize these two terror and death groups as much as possible.

I am in the diamond industry and can assure you that the worldwide diamond industry does not "steal" diamonds nor benefit unfairly from them. Governments in Africa, Russia, Canada, and Australia (among others) benefit greatly from the mining of diamonds and the income earned is passed on to the citizens of their respective countries.

#2, where do you get you information from... from my experience in africa they are treated like any normal criminal. If you are refering to the Blood Diamonds from central africa... well then you can write for ever... but then again its all not legal from the start!
