1. The scum are gitting the crap kicked out of them and they
Bunnie Meyer ,   Santa Monica, CA   (06.30.06)
want to turn back the clock without the world seeing that kidnapping a soldier was a very, very stupid thing to do. But then, never trust Moo-bar-ook.
2. Prisoner Exchange
Hanzala ,   Jerusalem-Palestine   (06.30.06)
The palestinian government should refuse the releasing of the Israeli prisoner if Palestinian prisoners will not be released......... Israel's government does not understand other language, we can take Hizbollah's prisoner exchange as a good sample. The Israeli soldier was inside his tank and he used to bombe Gaza and killing Palestinain kids and women. I am sure, if Israel's government wants the soldier alive, then they have to speak about prisoner exchange.... you just need to read the history.... Regards, J.
3. A distraction
Art ,   Sydney, Australia   (06.30.06)
This is nothing more than a diversion and distraction. It's exactly what these Pals want - they want a breather so that they can restore their electricity and water services and prepare themselves for the next round. If the IDF lets up one centimetre now IT WILL BE A DISASTER. This operation i.e. destruction of infrastructure, rounding up Hamas terrorists MUST continue. there must be no let-up and the forces must be prepared to enter Rafah to search for the captured soldier. I repeat: THIS OPERATION MUST NOT BE STOPPED NOW ON FAKE PRETENSES. I have said this many times and I'll say it YET AGAIN. There is no chance of this soldier being released voluntarily. NONE. ZERO. NIL. Is that clear?
4. THIS ACTION MUST NOT BE STOPPED ON FAKE PRETENSES .
AVINU   (06.30.06)
This action must NOT be stopped on FAKE PRETENSES !
5. I agree with # 3
keren ,   sao paulo   (06.30.06)
Their infra structure must be destroyed ,and they must not be able to rebuild it NEVER MORE!NEVER! Israel made a huge mistake giving autonomy to these people! But it is time to revert it and B'H Israel is doing the job.KEEP THE GOOD JOB! And after, when they will get very weak again,THEN start already a policy to resolv this problem forever! Send arabs to THEIR LANDS!
6. MISGUIDED
CHONI DAVIDOWITZ   (06.30.06)
IF ONLY ,FREINDS AND FAMILY OF GILAD WOULD HAVE MORE FAITH IN HASHEM THAN THE DEVIL MUBARAK,..............
7. Egypt and Mubarak
Bill Pearlman ,   Chicago, USA   (06.30.06)
Egypt, the receipient of a lot of US aid by the way, has raised the art of playing both sides against the middle to an art form. If Olmert trusts them he is an idiot.
8. The Search and Rescue Mission should continue
Brod ,   USA   (06.30.06)
The savages committed crimes of murders and kidnapping. There is no negotiation. The IDF should continue to search and rescue their kidnapped soldier and eliminate the criminal savages. Egypt should not even be involved in this time wasting crap. Egypt is just trying to sabotage the IDF's effort of destroying the Qassam sources in Hamastan so that the savages can continue to rain Qassam Rocket at Israel with impunity. Israel's military operational plan should have been kept top secret and accomplished without allowing external interferences from sabotaging their mission.
9. Where is the Proof of Life?
J K ,   NYC, USA   (06.30.06)
I hear a lot of talking and negotiating going on over what the terms are for Gilad's release, but the one thing I havent seen since the day he was taken was any proof at all that he is alive other than the word of these Hamasniks (we all know whats that worth) No tapes, no phonecall, no nothing. For all we know, he is as alive as the kid from Itamar who the PRC wanted to negotiate over and went so far as to show his ID card only to have the rug ripped out from under them when one of the murderes was arrested the same day and showed there where his shallow grave was in a field outside Ramallah. I demand proof of life to show Gilad is still alive and if not, g-d curse the people who killed him for they will share the same fate.

J K ,   NYC, USA   (06.30.06)
Hey Hanzel, whats all this talk over an exchange. Can you prove Gilad is even alive still? How do you know that they didnt shoot him in the head like that Itamar kid after the hospital visit? No talk of exchange without proof of life!! The PRC wanted to talk about a prisoner exchange with that kid from Itamar they shot dead right after they kidnapped him but negotiated as if he was alive. Pardon the entire world if we dont take Hamas' of your word for it.
11. At least he is trying to end the conflict.
MARK ,   USA   (06.30.06)
No one else is doing that.
12. to # 3
Birdi ,   ISRAEL   (06.30.06)
Keren, no arab/muslim country in the middle east wants the palestinian people;so we cant "send arabs to their lands" UNFORTUNATELY.
13. Sao paolo transferistas
Rustum ,   London, UK   (06.30.06)
She never fails to find an excuse for some pretty pathetic sloganeering "Send Arabs to their lands" plus your underhand, not so subtle line ""start already a policy to resolve this problem forever" - are you suggesting the building of ovens? Why don't you put your feet where your big mouth is? Go and make 'aliya' to the safest country on earth. I guarantee, Ms Keren, that you will find very very few Israelis who will not consider you a rabid fanatic and have nothing to do with your odious opinions. It is quite obvious that the way forward is through mutual self-respect - a respect that must be built up by dismantling the apartheid legal system and allowing equality and freedom to flourish. Any other good ideas emanating from the beaches of Sao Paolo?
14. Release their prisoners and bring Gilaad home
angry ,   around   (06.30.06)
Guys.....you dont understand the demographic layout of the Gaza Strip. I served there and i can assure you the Israeli government should not attempt to rescue Gilaad using the IDF powers. I am sorry to say this but this way will not bring Gilaad alive to his home. think about it....the kidnappers demanded nothing complicated (only the release of female prisoners and male prisoners under 18 )......allow yourselves to think once without being subject to the influnce of how stong the IDF is.......bakasha

LR ,   Tel Aviv Israel   (06.30.06)
You and other sympathizers of terrorist actions need to get one thing straight: you live in a world where there are rules, respect for life and negotiations instead of brute guerilla tactics. You all need to sign up with the nations of the world and build yourselves a country instead of directing all your energies and resources to ultimately elf-destructionm. Look at your people! Help them by laying down the arms and getting to work productively and collectively. Otherwise time is against your fight.
16. HOSTAGE STILL ALIVE FOR SURE !!!
Ryan ,   Chicago, IL, USA   (06.30.06)
For all those wondering and questioning whether the "kidnapped" soldier would be alive or not, I don't think Hamas militants are stupid to kill the soldier, yet ! I am saying this because he is valuable for them and could be used for some prisoner exchange of some form. When the Israelis stop shelling and assassinting people in Gaza, militants there would stop firing rockets into Israel. Israel really needs to stop aggrevating and humiliating the Palestinian people.
17. I think PM Olmert is doing the right thing....
Andy   (06.30.06)
he is raising the ante. He is balancing force with diplomacy. This "flatten Gaza expel the Palestinians" bloodthirsty bullshit will not take Israel or Cpl. Shalit down the right path. Once we realize that both sides have lots of grievances we will get somewhere. My prayers are with this family and their son, a defender of Israel and the Jewish people.
18. The Love of God will Sustain you
stephanos ,   chicago   (06.30.06)
Sir: May the God of Israel give you strength, and His Grace be with your family. Ameen.

SETTHERECORDSTRAIGHT   (06.30.06)
I have read your posts for a long time now and I like the way you are starting to sound. You always sounded logical but now I can see that you totally get what's going on and see what is called for. Kol ha kavod lach.
20. response to # 2 "PRISONER EXCHANGE"
jared Sayovitz ,   Houston, TX USA   (06.30.06)
I think you are without a doubt one of the most ignorant people out there. I agree if there were prisoners to exchange that would be one thing however Gilad isn’t a prisoner he is a hostage. Terrorists don’t take prisoners they take hostages. I hate seeing civilians die but if the Israeli government kills 10 civilians for every one Hamas terrorist how many people does that save when he cant walk into a crowded area in Israel blowing himself up killing 20 30 people?
21. HAS GILAD ALSO FRENCH NATIONALITY ??????????????????????
AVINU   (06.30.06)
If YES so FRANCE SHALL HELP GET HIM FRE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

J K ,   NYC, USA   (06.30.06)
Israel ended its occupation of Gaza over 10 months ago, pulling all the settlers and the soldiers out. An economic blockade afterwards? Perhaps. But an occupation? Not by any standard of international law. After they pulled out, the rockets continued to fly over the internatonal border. Why were rockets still flying over the border if they arent occupied? Get a clue, pal.
24. Well Hanzala
Floyd   (06.30.06)
If Israeli's behaved as palestinian savages do, Israeli's should start executing palestinian prisoners.
25. Sigh..
John ,   North Carolina, US   (06.30.06)
I, like many of you, have grown up with the constant violence surrounding Israel and Palestine, and it's very sad to me to view this subject as staple of terrorism. For too many years I've heard the most autrocious stories arise from this battle. Over the past few months, I have been relieved and filled with much hope for the Jews and Muslims occupying the Gaza Strip, but it seems it will always revert to the same story. Both these peoples have brought much disgrace upon themselves in the eyes of this world. How long will your hate consume you both and do you think the rest of the world will pity either of your plights for much longer? Neither of them can claim to do God's will; or else it's the best reason to become agnostic, that i've ever seen.

Hanzala ,   Jerusalem-Palestine   (06.30.06)
#2 my nick is Hanzala and not Hanzal, there is a differnce ;-) If he is still alive or not, I don't know...... but I think he is still alive, you just need the indexes, omar suleiman is on the way to Gaza etc.. He is a sure prisoner, he is a soldier Stop to claim the Palestinian for all problems you have, try just once to take them as a partner and not like occupation. At the moment and in the future Israel is not interested in a politcial solution. If somebody is a terrorist or no it depends from which point of view.... e.g. Begin, Sharon they were terrorists from Palestinian/Arabs point of view or Nilson Mandel he was a terrorist from South Africa's government point of view..... I think you can solve this problem so easy, go back to the 67 borders and let the Palestinan go back to thier home and that's it... You know this problem can't be solved by your IDF, start the dialog, whatever who is on the power, Hamas, Fatah. Regards J Regards j.

what about the god of others kidnapped in israel ??
30. Don,t trust the palestinians
Angela ,   The Haque, Holland   (07.01.06)
Don,t trust the Palestinians. Israel have learned their lesson; you can,t trust them because as soon as possible they break their promisses. Don,t give them 1 finger because they will take your whole hand.
