The Truth is that these guys called Hizbullah and other organizations like them are like scalar quantities with no sense of direction. They rattle like empty drums with no focus or the sanity of sane humans. They say, "release 10,000, 1000 detainees, for Shalit to be freed," - absolute nonsense. If Israel should heed this bs plea, then David in his grave will let out tears of disappointment. How did these detainees become Israeli Prisoners by the way? Because they lacked a sense of focus. Because in the stead of doing the right and positive things that will foster peace and better their lives; majority of them took to violence - blowing up innocent Israeli Citizens on the streets of the Holy Land. You push Israel to the wall, then let them stay behind those prison walls until the come to their senses - if they are sensible enough and have such a capacity to do what is right. See, I just believe that all these people that want Israel to disappear have been brain washed by a religion that fosters violence - that is not the pathway to peace. Stop terrorizing Israel and Israel will soft pedal in her forceful advance to protect herself. If you keep terrorizing Israel, then she has no choice but to keep defending herself. What is Truth? The truth is that terrorizing Israel will not solve the problem, it will only aggravate the whole situation in the Middle Eastern Block. I agree with Herbert Agar who once stipulated that, "The truth which makes men free is for the most part the truth which men prefer not to hear." I'm glad you recognize that the murder of the boy from Itamar was "completely wrong." I had thought from some of your prior posts that there was no reasoning with you, but I am happy to admit that I was wrong. (If it matters, I believe that anyone who deliberately murders innocent civilians of any nationality should go to jail). On that basis, I'll also say that yes, Shalit is a soldier. I frankly am much more angry about the 1000+ Qassam and Katyusha rockets fired at Sderot elementary schools and homes since Israel left Gaza than I am about Hamas kidnapping Shalit. I find the former to be 1000 times more eggregious than the latter. The reason why Israel went into Gaza is because the Pals started it by invaded Israel from Gaza, which aside from being idiotic is why many world leaders are smacking Hamas around as well as yelling at Israel. But anyway, as I said, the attacks on the civilians anger me a lot more than the Shalit kidnapping. ;-) Nasrallah is hardly a man of few words. But I will say this for Hizballah. Unlike the lunatics in Gaza, Hizballah is sensitive to its position in Lebanon, and as a result exercises a degree of restraint. The Lebanon-Israel border is not peaceful, but it is mostly quiet, and people on both sides of the border are able to get on with their lives most of the time. The Gaza border is very different. Hizballah allows no competing militias in the areas that it occupies, whereas the Palestinian factions compete constantly with each other to attack Israelis. As a result, Sderot and Beit Hanun do not have a single day of peace. Hizballah and Israel are definitely enemies, but Hizballah doesn't let this get in the way of the rebuilding of Lebanon (mostly, anyway). In contrast, the Palestinian terror groups would much rather kill Israeli civilians than advance their own national ambitions or build a prosperous society. It's rather pathetic. Lastly -- you guys need to realize that Hamas isn't Hizballah, and Gaza isn't Lebanon. The situations were/are very different. Encouraging Hamas to emulate Hizballah is not a good idea. Hamas is currently learning about the difference. We'll see. Bye for now.

30 years has changed nothing. US only israeli ally, and even the US could do a better job. All arabs, europe, and UN against israel. We dont hear anything from UN about dead soldiers, dead settler, or daily rockets launched into israel. Same as yom kippur war, we heard nothing from UN until Israel regained control of war and kicked the asses of all those arab states who surprised us. Only then did the UN say we need to stop the war.
