Some members of my family, Assyrian Jews, fled the region many years ago with only the clothes on their backs. When they were eventually able to return for a visit the immediate family members, friends, neighbours and neighbourhood had all vanished. I'm surprised there are so many Jews left in Iran. I'm not surprised, however, that they are being used in Iran's extremely transparent propaganda campaign. As long as they survive I'm happy for them to be reported as saying pretty much anything. The western world is very familiar with "spin" from its own political leaders and can recognise it at a glance!
