As much as I feel for this couple, it's not entirely true. Every year on יומ זכרון we remember every single person and every single soldier who has died during Israel's history. Millions of people standing for 3 minutes and thinking about these people, mean that they will never be forgotten. Not ever!

did not know about this young man and i am sure there are many others who did not either. well we know now about jean jacques and will surely be remembered by me. entebee was a great success for our army but we must remember four more people who died inorder for freedom. thank you maimoni family. may your son's memory live on.

Some years ago I read Muki Betzer's book titled in English "Secret Soldier" where he also told how the young Israeli was shot accidentally. Iam sorry that the Maimoni family has had to suffer such pain, and as well as what Mr. Betzer has to suffer. In such a situation one has to react so fast that it is understandable how a mistake can happen. But for Israel to ignore Jean-Jacques's family is another mistake that should be delt with now.

i have never heared about this story untill now. for agreeing to be identified as an israeli instead of a french , is a true act of bravery and patriotism by this young 19 year old. there can never be any sacrifice greater than ,for one to lay down his life for his country and people.he is indeed a true isreali hero.may GOD keep his soul.
