Well, the radical Orthodox Jews actually oppose the existence of the state of Israel, so obviously, it's not religious from their behalf. According to Islam, it is a sequel to Judaism and Chiristianity, any Moslem believes in Moses, Jesus and their doctrines in essence(except for the holy trinity), therefor they are not pagans and a holy war would not apply. To the Christians (the west) it's about a war that started about 1000 years ago, had nothing to do with religion back then and still has nothing to do with it now.

In my study of Judaism I have never come accross any reference to Egyptians or Muslims (not sure which you were referring to by "us") being the only people entitled to convert to Judaism. What you fail to see and hopefully Israel now knows is that they are no worse off with the escalation of this conflict. They can't be matched force for force and only lose when playing down. As I said before ceded land and withdrawn troops only resulted in more rocket attacks, bombings and an elected government in Palestine who's stated goal is the destruction of Israel. It's time stop showing restraint (which is seen as weakness) and bring the full power of their armed forces to bear.
