The number of new immigrants is shrinking. The time of the last big alijah, which were the russians, is over. 6'000 Quality Jews come from US, France and UK. Most of them are old and come to Israel for retirement. Some young new immigrants try to find jobs, which is very difficult in Israel. And not talking about the low salaries... It's all propaganda. I know many former new immigrants turning back to Europe or USA....they continue to love Israel but understand that in the MIDDLE EAST it's a bit different...It's a nice country to support and to make vacations. That's it...Unless u are very very rich. But, does any newspaper in Israel write how many former new immigrants returnd back to their countries???

Thank you for all the aliyah resources. I was searching on the internet but I guess I was looking in all the wrong places. Those links are great. Yes, I am single, I hope $10,000 USD will do me just as you said, and maybe get some funding from family. As I will be the first one in my family to make aliyah. Thank you for helping me get one step closer to Eretz Yisrael.

I am from Haifa, my parents were from Haifa, my grand parents were from Haifa, my great grand parents were from Haifa. We lived in Hafia for over 1800 years and were driven out of our homeland in 1948. When people from USA, Canada, France, Russia can come and reside in Palastine, why cannot I return to the land of my forefathers?
