The girl who bombed Gaza    Yossi Yehoshua
1. We are so proud of her
but we will keep her name and face hidden. What has happened when women kill women and children?

does not depend on sex or race but a commitment to our values and our morals. Kol Hakavod!

3. Girl Power!!
Talula ,   Israel   (07.10.06)
4. This feels wrong
Females should not be wielding bombs (and neither should males). Instead, they should serve as wives and mothers to peaceful farmers. Alas, we live in a less than utopian world, so in the meantime we are forced to use weapons; but this is nothing to be proud of.
Nov ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.10.06)
5. kol hakavod
kol hakavod we are all proud of her

Mark Joseph ,   Los Angeles, CA   (07.10.06)
8. secret weapon
Remember the girl who fought off the terrorists which wanted to kidnap her? Women are our secret weapon, a potential the Muslim world fails to use. Allowing women to participate fully in society is one of the best ideas of western civilization. Israeli's should count themselves lucky to be one of the most advanced societies in this respect.
Holland ,   Amsterdam   (07.10.06)
9. The new airforce
Stop it! stop it! stop it! with your stupid talk about women not doing this. It's NOT a man's world ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's wonderful and amazing and I wish her nothing but luck. I'm so proud of her!

11. what????
and i suppose that is somthing to be proud of (not)
darryl ,   israel   (07.10.06)
12. Shameful
According to Jewish Law, a Jewish woman must not bear arms. Our women are to be modest and peaceful. It would seem that lauding this girl's "achievements" is contrary to the spirit, if not the letter of Jewish Law. I fell ashamed that the IDF continues to enlist Jewish women amongst its ranks. This is a disgrace to the holy Jewish people and an affront to our sacred mission.
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (07.10.06)
13. THANK YOU CAPT. RONI
G-D BLESS YOU AND ALL OUR MILITARY SERVICE PEOPLE.

16. #8
The Muslim world uses them, alright. Female suicide-bomberettes. That's about as "advanced" as the women's place is in Islam.
Jane   (07.10.06)
17. #12
Give me a break.
Jane   (07.10.06)

20. First Time in 2000 years !!!
Wow !!! A Jewish girl in an F-16 "takes out" a poultry coop. Send it to the Guinness Book of Records
Michael ,   Haifa   (07.10.06)
21. to Mr. Reuven Brauner, Raanana
What primitive thoughts, you sound as from the Bible times. We are in the 21th centuary, defending the Holy Land by inteligent forces from both sexs !!! This woman pilot is a brave, smart, girl and every Israeli should be very proud of her.
Mother of a girl   (07.10.06)
22. bravo mademoiselle roni !!!
stephane ,   france   (07.10.06)
23. How humaliating for the Arab world..lol..
Women cannot drive cars in most or if not all Arab countries. Brave Taliban fighters couldn,t even fly a cropduster, let alone such a magnificent US Fighter Jet. Let them simmer and boil in their resentment, and let all of the women of the Middle East, or others that are prisoners of Allah, to sincerly re-think their potential in life. The 21'st centuary is coming pretty fast to the 6'th centuary the Arab world lives in. My she fly more flights, and become the Shirley Moldoney of the IAF.
Jacob ,   DC   (07.10.06)
24. F16 pilot
Respect! But, those poor, innocent chickens. Then again, I guess the PALS can eat some chicken shawarmas for a while.
Allan ,   Delray Beach, FLA   (07.10.06)
25. #12 Reuven
You seem to forget that Israel is governed by secular law and not by religious law. Under the circunstances, it is perfectly acceptable for a woman to defend her homeland and excel in her endevours. You should be proud and encourage her not castigate her. You are one of the Israeli citizens she protects.
Allan ,   Delray Beach, FLA   (07.10.06)
26. #20 Michael in Haifa you fool
Are you sure you are not Gideon Levey? The tunnel was underneath the poultry coop you ignornamus. There are some awfully stupid "Israeli" judenrats (or is just plain rats?) on YNET talkbacks. Maybe they have spent too much time being "educated" by the likes of Ilan Pappe, Neve Gordon, Baruch Kimerling, Jeff Halper and Amira Hass.
Joel ,   New York, USA   (07.10.06)
27. Joel of New York
You same to take great delight in making a point in the style of a guttersnipe. It is possible to make the same point in a civilized manner, but maybe a person like you knows no differently
Michael ,   Haifa   (07.10.06)
28. First female fighter pilot
Kol ha Kavod! May Roni enjoy greater and greater success!
Leah ,   Tiberias Israel   (07.10.06)
29. Target practice...
I am proud of what this young lady has accomplished but, I can't help feeling that the mission was none too clever . It seems to me it would have been a hell of alot smarter, once having discovered the tunnel, to sereptiously install a small camera, in addition to lots of high explosives, and wait to blow the damn thing up 'til it was chock full of would be Shahids... This is the equivilent of bombing vacant fields. And, they say we're a clever people.
Earl Mann ,   Toronto, Canada   (07.10.06)
