1.  HASHEM COMMAND -- " DO NOT KILL " !!!!!!!!!!!
AVINU   (07.11.06)
"DO NOT KILL " HASHEM COMMAND ! !
2. Welcome to Iran. Who is the Mullah?
Dor ,   Tel Aviv   (07.11.06)
3. too far!
jman ,   il   (07.11.06)
i beg of anyone who reads this not to get any image that any true rabbi was behind this call for violence. i am a haredi, who, as many others (even nonreligious residents) is opposed to this march. but acting in violence is as vulgare as the march itself. for anyone who will say that "smash the jaws of evil" is a call to violence is looking to pick at haredim, nothing more. it's a figure of speech like "to smash your opponant" at sports. three things about this meretz guy: 1. he has a personal reason for pushing this parade, he can make tons of money for his bar. 2. he says "if he would have known..." that is exactly why he came, to make a scene and get chased out and say that it was the hasidim that did it. 3. he asks "how is it that a person is fobidden to film...". there is nothing wrong with filming in meah she'arim, it's done all the time. even real movies are filmed there (part of "ushpizin" was filmed there). if the filming is meant to be against the residents then they don't want it done.
4. the normal haredi world holds...
jman ,   il   (07.11.06)
G-d shall punish all who cause harm to the jewish nation, even evil haredim who write extreme nonscense and violence. we are not to serve punishment. we will peacefully protest what is right, G-d will do the rest.
5. since when...
jman ,   il   (07.11.06)
does meretz care enough about G-d to say that the meah sha'rim people are G-dless?
6. Parsha
Choni   (07.11.06)
The parsha of Pinchas validates the killing of immoral people. it's time someone took a stand against this abomination of gays. As for this Meretz M.K. saying he visited Mea sharim on a weekday because he did not wish to infringe on their sensitivities on Sabbath; what about the sensitivities of Holy Jerusalem being desecrated by thousands of immoral gays.
7. reply to number 1
Ari   (07.11.06)
Quite an ignorant comment to say. The commandment is "do nto MURDER," which means kill illegitimately. If the commandment was simply "do not kill," then the IDF would be forbidden as well... Don't expose your ignorance so publicly on the internet.
8. Pathetic - I cant believe this is coming from jewish people
andrew ,   miami,fl   (07.11.06)
9. Extreme measures must be taken
Talula ,   Israel   (07.11.06)
The police need to step in and take extreme action against this filth who call themselves righteous. They are so clueless about what it is to be a decent citizen of this country. They are the lowest form of life. I will lose all faith in this country if this disgusting display of bigotry is not stopped - NOW!
10. Do not kill, but form
Chaya ,   Bat Yam   (07.11.06)
a human barrier to prevent them from marching. I'm sure that thousands and thousands of people (men, of course) could be gotten to stand in the way of these 'gay' marchers. The women could stand on the sides and hold up signs - in English - protesting this 'event.'
11. Jewish Al-Qa'eda
Hanzala ,   Jerusalem-Palestine   (07.11.06)
This sample shows that there is no tolerance in the IL society......
12. THANK YOU TO # 7
AVINU   (07.11.06)
ONE DAY , BUT IN FRONT OF HASHEM, WE BOTH WILL KNOW WHAT ABOUT --- KILL & MURDER......
13. 2,4,6,8, is that rabbi really straight!
Dayvid ,   Tel Aviv Israel   (07.11.06)
Its one thing not wanting to hold a Pride event in Jerusalem, whilst disagreeing. i can understand that position though. However offering money for killing one of us. . . . . I would highly recommend that those haredi men that visit gan haatzmaut in Tel Aviv for some extra outside of marrige activity, refrain from doing so.
14. I can not understand why gays are insisting
keren ,   sao paulo   (07.11.06)
in keep this parade at Jerusalem. What is the reason to create more problems than Israel has already? What a ridiculous thing! Go parade somewhere else!!!!
15. Capital Pride Killers
Daniel ,   Washington, DC   (07.11.06)
Wow I guess Jerusalem should move the Knesset to Tel Aviv. Then we can give the city to the Arabs who want it so badly. We can just leave the Haredim there to defend the Kotel. After all they are very keen on killing suddenly. The Capital of Israel as far as I know is Jerusalem. When that changes political parades will be held in what is then the Capital city. I for one want to see Jerusalem as the undivided Capital of Israel. I will support peaceful political parades there for any group. What amazes me is that a parade about equal rights and love is causing such a furor among religious groups. Calls for killing marchers are an incite to riot. Is that what you want?
16. #1 -Hashem command reply
Yehudah ,   U.S   (07.11.06)
Actually Hashem commanded to not murder. There is a big difference between the words of kill and murder.
17. What's next ? Haredi with explosive belt ?
Benjamin ,   TA Israel   (07.11.06)
18. #14 Brazilian carnival?
Talula ,   Israel   (07.11.06)
Tell me, do you insist that the Brazilian carnival, which has an array of gays, lesbians, transexuals, half men, half women, move to another venue? Do you?
19. Too much for Keren to condemn murder of gay Jews
Rustum ,   London, UK   (07.11.06)
I notice in your response that you think the murder of people marching in a parade is acceptable. Does your particular brand of religion allow the murder of innocent people? As far as I know, the only commandment is to kill people who are planning to kill you. I am buying you a one-way ticket to Iran. Enjoy.
20. The Jewish Taliban
CHGODMK   (07.11.06)
In a way, I am glad that this has come about, as it shows just how sick the Haredim can be. I am a Conservative Jew; growing up, I was taught that Judaism revered the sanctity of life, forbade violence and condemned murder. I guess "our more pious Jewish brothers" know better than "Thou Shall Not Kill." How convenient for them to sacrifice their Judaism in the name of their bigotry. Who needs Afghanistan when we Jews have the Taliban of Mea She'arim.
21. # 18
keren ,   sao paulo   (07.11.06)
Rio de Janeiro is not Jerusalem. And even Brasil being a very lovely country ,it is not Sacred Israel. Talula,I think you fit very well in Brasil. Come to live here! I am sure you will feel more at home here than being in Israel. Want to bet?
22. Well well well...
Stacie ,   Canada   (07.11.06)
I just finished reading the Wikipedia entry for Holocaust. The German monster had Jewish and gay people sharing his attrocities in the killing camps, my the irony. Religious fundamentalism is the root of evil and plague of the 21st century, States and regimes with religion guiding policy are an abomination.
23. Lock up the "leading rabbis" for incidement.
Andy   (07.11.06)
24. I don't recall
Allan ,   Delray Beach, FLA   (07.11.06)
mullah Omar converting to Judaism, becoming a rabbi and moving to Mea' She'arim. It sure seem that way with the Taliban-like attitude of the Haredim. Freedom of speech, a cornerstone of democracy, grants the right for peaceful demostration and for the expression disaproval. But to advocate for murder? Now, that's beyond the pale and beyond Jewish sensibilities. Let alone the laws of the land.
25. Choni
CHGODMK   (07.11.06)
I think Hashem is a lot stronger than you give Him credit for. He will not feel threatened by a parade, no matter how immoral you claim it to be. Your advocating this sick provocation is telling, of course.
26. to num 7
Ugo ,   Italy   (07.11.06)
do not murder??? don't change G*D words as you like! DO NOT KILL this is THE WORD. IDF and world's armys are not following this commandment. you know that. refuse to serve in the army!
27. Don't follow the god of hate!
Shiloh ,   Israel   (07.11.06)
Devarim 13 verses1-6 state to not follow a strange god of whom you do not know. This 'god' of hate the haredim follow is just that. They are the reason for anti-semitism for the last 3500 years, erev rav to be exact. I don't condone this parade, as keep your private lives just that, private. But who in their right mind would want to be assoiciated with this strange god the haredim follow? This is certainly not the G-d of the Hebrews. Just another man made idol, called religion!!
28. The flyer is a HOAX
Aviva ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.11.06)
I have seen the flyer and I have spoken to my relatives in Mea Shearim. They insist that the flyer is a HOAX and was distributed by seculars in order to incite and to get sympathy in the media. The flyer is missing certain "elements" that would have been included if it was really the product of Haredi Jews (G-D forbid)
29. #21 Pathetic answer
Talula ,   Israel   (07.11.06)
What's the difference? Rio or Jerusalem - a gay is a gay is a gay universally. There are millions of Catholics there that would like to see the end of the carnival - you don't see them posting flyers rewarding people with money to kill a gay/lesbian, transsexual or other. I've been to Sao Paulo and couldn't wait to get the hell out of there. So, whatever you were going to bet, keep it and put it towards your aliyah fund. Or, if you have no intention of moving here, keep quiet.
