I am a firm believer in the Khanjar. It's the Arabian sword that the Arabs wore many centuries ago which symbolized the old form of deterrence. When you saw someone with his Khanjar, he was telling you, "I can kill you, but I won't. Just remember that I can though." This deterrence, or display of strength, has been passed on from generation to generation in Arab culture since the Middle Ages. Israel's only chance to win the war for its existence -- a war that can only be won when terrorists realize that violence and murder will get them nowhere -- is to take out the strongest link in the chain, Iran. Israel must remove every valuable Iranian military installation, leaving nothing for the Iranians to retaliate with. This would be a large and complicated military operation demanding US support. The total destruction of the leading terrorist supporter's military and Ahmadinejad running with his tail between his legs will effectively serve as a warning to all other terrorists in the region including Hamas, Hizballah and Syria. This would break the "crescent of evil" and send the message that Israel's Khanjar is bigger than theirs.
