its time for Israel to take on the Hizbollah and finally get rid of all of them, it makes me so sick to read that Israel is sitting there knowing there are weapons pointed at it and does nothing. It is time to admit that the withdrawl was a failure. That running away and locking the gates ddoes nothing to peace. There is no one who wants peace. The arabs want war and it is time Israel realised this and adjusted accordingly. Israel has the capacity to turn southern lebanon into a car park and it should. Enough of listening to the left wing and the people who blame Israel. Now we finally see Israel is being attacked and it should act. Also it is time for Israel to re arm the Phalange and let Lebanon rule itself and not be a proxy for Iran and Syria. As for Gaza, well constant presure is needed, in any form. They voted for Hamas let them bear the responsibilty that it brings. As for Olmert, form a unity goverment, bring in Likud and Israel Beitenu. This is a crisis and its time to have a goverment of unity for the difficult times ahead.
3. Nasrallah on a mine
Sam ,   Nigeria   (07.13.06)
Could any one tell Nasrallah that it is too early to claim victory, soon the chips will be down.

Thank you, Sam
5. Should Israel confront Naz before he gets bigger....
Mary ,   USA   (07.13.06)
Before his smile gets bigger, maybe. Oh why not? His leadership is far from having a solid base from which to grow, locally. He must depend on Teheran and Damascus, hence the big smile. To take Naz out would mean taking out a Syrian or Iranian arm; a good thing.

I think it would be a blessing to arrange a personal meeting between Ahmadinejad and God. whomever makes this introduction will be blessed for many generations. It might not be a bad idea for Ahmadinejad to have an entourage with him at the time;Nasrallah, Assad,Haniyeh, Deif and a few others
7. Trade Nasrallah
Rube Vogel ,   Seattle, WA   (07.14.06)
Although I am generally against giving in to terrorist demands, I think Israel should offer to release Nasrallah's body in return for the captured soldiers.
8. Destroy Hizaballah but spare lebanon
Joe ,   Lebanon   (07.18.06)
Destroy these puppetts, but not at the expense of the other 60% Christians, Sunnis, and Druze. Lebanon wants peace and no hassels from Israel, Syria and Iran. Bomb Syria and we will help :)
9. War of Ignorance
GlenZen ,   CapeTown,SouthAfrica   (07.23.06)
Clearly the demonstration of brutality being inflicted on innocent civillians by Isreali Armed forces in Lebanon today, has one truth; Ignorance. The Buddha spake" We born into Ignorance and Liberated By Wisdom not War.

R u shy saying u r Lebanese, Lebanon is a land made for generous people such as Sayed Hassan, we want to live in Lebanon with all comunities, we don't want to exterminate any, hopefully u'll wake up one day and u'll realise that Israel is not doing a favor for any of u guys, remember the civil war in lebanon, israel let down many of it's finest supporter. Think about it, we want all the best for our country and u.
11. The five damning questions
lebaneseman   (08.08.06)
let me ask five questions. I would like to know what israeli public opinion is about them. The first: Hezbollah maintains that it asks for three things. - The return of three of its members held in Israel - That Israel withdraw from the Shebaa farms - The map of 400 000 land mines that Israel planted in Lebanon during the 20 year occupation. If Israel is truly interested in a long lasting peace, why has it not already given them these things. Especially the last one. I would appreciate an answer other than "well, we don't believe them..." but if that is your answer, then so be it. Second- Does Israel accept any responsibility for the creation of Hezbollah? There was no Hezbollah before the Israeli occupation. Why did you occupy southern lebanon for 20 years, after the PLO had been subdued- only to create the monster that is Hezbollah today. Did Lebanese water have anything to do with it? Do you not feel somewhere that the chickens have come home to roost? Third- you call hezbollah terrorist. But Israel was the first to draw civilian blood in this conflict. Hezbollah killed a few soldiers, and Israel retaliated by killing twenty civilians and imposing collective punishment on the whole country of Lebanon. So in this conflict, who is the terrorist? Or do you have a different definition of terrorist- like whoever you don't approve of? Four- Is there any solution to this war that would make Israel feel safer? When the Shi'a return to their villages, you will have a million people that hate you with a bitter vengeance. Their hatred will be 10 times worse than before. Or, are you not planning on letting them back to the South? That is why you are destroying their towns. The last - If Israel is willing to destroy all of Lebanon to get a lasting peace, why has it never tried building better relations with the South. Why, in its 20 years of occupation, did it never build hospitals, infrastructure that would help the communities, foster trade... The Shi'a of the South are poor people- they would have appreciated whatever they could get. Why not?

Why in the same interval did not Lebanon the country assert its authority to do the same thing? Why did Lebanon the country not incorporate the Shia militarization into its own ranks, in order that Christian, Sunni, and Druz could have a voice in aggression taken on their behalf? Why does Lebanon the country not take responsibility for militarization within its own borders, at least so that Israel and Lebanon could declare a proper war and get on with it. Why did not Lebanon the country just simply declare war on Israel, given the sentiments recently expressed by its PM? The questions never end. There would be zero issue here if the Shia had kept only to the development of cival institutions. But what they have done in that context is only a facade for the real reason for Hizbullah's existance, and its true purpose as an attack dog for Iran.
13. New Rules
Charles Henderson ,   Elkhart, Indiana, US   (07.03.07)
As a Christian and a Zionest I firmly believe in Israel's right to exist. It's time to institute the Death Penalty for those convicted of terrorism followed by a speedy execution by firing squad after 1 review by the Israeli Supreme Court. Stand up and be counted. Our enemies lie and deceive the Israeli leadership so it is past time to take a hard, hard line against the enemies of Israel.
