3. IL IDF's hostage
The problem of 75% of the Israelis is that they believe they can do everything what they wish but it is realy over.... I think it is fair when you attacke Beirut, Safad/Keryat 8 or other IL cities should be also attacked by Hizbulah... isn't fair? Regards, J.

5.  Lazer Brody: This is a time for Tefillin and brass knuckles
This, from rab. Lazer Brody's blog: "When Israel's Channel 10 radio called me for a brief interview a few minutes ago and asked: "Lazer Brody, as a long-time veteran of military operations in Lebanon, what would you suggest to Olmert and Peretz?" I answered: This is a time for Tefillin and brass knuckles - Olmert and Peretz wear neither." http://lazerbrody.typepad.com/lazer_beams/emuna_news/index.html

6. Bomb Syria
We are calling you for help. 2/3rd of the lebanese are struggling for peace in our country. Everybody must know in Israël that the weak government we have can't do anything against Hizbullah. All our problems are coming from Syria. Please don't make syrian game again. We beg you
Amine Nasraoui ,   Lebanon   (07.13.06)
7. YNET: War in the North ?? War in Israel !
Are they a separate country, second class ? When will you call it - war in Israel ? When it reaches TLV or Jerusalem ?
gabriela ben ari   (07.13.06)
8. to #3
You missed something. What led to the attack on Beirut? The Israelis just decided, nothing better to do? Please be fair. Regards

9. name of the operation in lebanon
The name of the operation sahar holem should be translated as "fitting retribution" and not "adequate"
Gadi ,   Israel   (07.13.06)
10. We should have...
bombed nasrallah with a 5-ton bomb as he was giving his gloating press conference. But we are too nice...and in return we a getting a lesson in barbarity from hizballah.
Israeli ,   Israel   (07.13.06)
11. How do you spell disengagement?
F-A-I-L-U-R-E. Sharon/Olmert's cockamamie disengagement plan has not produced peace. Quite the contrary. It has led to the harmful place Israel finds itself in today. Who needs this war?
Chrisona ,   Chicago.IL   (07.13.06)
12. No. 6 is right
Don't make the Lebanese pay the price for Syria. So far Iran and Syria have had it both ways: they can wage war and let their proxies and conquered subjects (the Lebanese and the Palestinians) suffer all of the consequences of war. It is time to bring the war to their homefront.
Dan ,   USA   (07.13.06)

Dear Stupid, It is fair for us to use all our force when you kidnap a soldier and fire rockets at Israel from Aza. It is fair for us to use all our force when Hizbulah fire rockets to the north of our country and kidnap two more soldiers. So, stop crying. You have created this, and only you are responsible for all the civilian deaths. Did you think we would sit around and eat humous while you fire at us? How completely ignorant and stupid you really are.
Talula ,   Israel   (07.13.06)
14. Asleep at the switch; bombs away
While Israel's enemies prepared to wage war against it, Israel's leaders bombed empty buildings and ignored the missiles falling on Sderot. Qassams, shmassams, so said Rav Shimon of Chelm.
Chrisona ,   Chicago.IL   (07.13.06)
15. Reply to 3
And *I* think it is pretty fair when you attack Sderot, Ashkelon and Northern Israel, Killing and Kidnapping Israelis, that ISRAEL should respond in kind, no? Hanzala, I truly hope that things arent like a fight between children : He hits me, I hit him back... It creates an endless cycle, until one knocks the other so bad that he cant respond. Hopefully this fight will stop before then. ~Levine

16. why does Ynet provide targeting info.

19. #11 you forgot
Selective Memory Loss ? The reason why Shaorn /Olmert pursued the disengage brain plan. Its' the Bush inspired Road Map , a plaestinian terrorist state which cuts Israel in half ,finishing it off in the process.
Marcel ,   Florida   (07.13.06)
20. Just read that the Lebanese want a cease-fire.
They have realized, once again, who wears the trousers in the middle east. I think we should carry on and on and on and on until they BEG us to stop - and give us back ALL our boys.
Talula ,   Israel   (07.13.06)
21. Your English Friends
Israel is not by herself you have millions of friends in England Please dont worry about the muslims in the UK. The English people will stand by you God bless the people of Isreal dont give in to the terrorists
Andy ,   England   (07.13.06)
22. Looking in the wrong direction
IDF senior official told Ynet: "if Haifa is bombed, we'll topple buildings in Beirut." WRONG FOCUS. The buildings in Beirut are not attacking Israelis. The Palestinians are. And they have to be stopped. You can destroy every building in Beirut and the missiles will keep falling on Israelis.
Chrisona ,   Chicago.IL   (07.13.06)
23. Adequacy
"Operation Adequate Retribution continues in Lebanon." Again, wrong focus. It should be Operation Secure Israelis from Enemy Attacks. Nothing else will be adequate.
Chrisona ,   Chicago.IL   (07.13.06)
24. TO #15 LEVINE:
THAT IS VERY SWEET AND IT SOUNDS WONDERFUL, BUT WE HAVE A CANCER TO DEAL WITH AND YOU CANNOT SHAKE CANCER WITH FLOWERS. IT NEEDS TO BE CUT OUT FROM EVERYWHERE UNTIL IT IS GONE. IF THAT MEANS ISRAEL CAN NO LONGER TAKE THE 'HIGHER ROAD', SO BE IT. WE HAVE A COUNTRY, CITIZENS, A WAY OF LIFE AND A HOLY LAND TO DEFEND. NO MORE GAMES, NO MORE 'NICE GUYS'. THIS IS WAR, HONEY.
SETTHERECORDSTRAIGHT   (07.13.06)
25. #6, Amine Nasraoui is right
Amine Nasraoui is right. While it's hard to know just how many Lebanese support Hizbollah, and hate Israel, there's no doubt that: - Syria controls much of Lebanon - Hizbollah control South Leb - Iran fund and support Hizbollah - Syria and Hamas are one Yes, Amine, just like most Iraqis would never have been described as Saddam supporters, Leb is caught in the middle of this too.

27. #20: TALULA
I don't agree with the idea of continuous attacks. Churchill warned about being magnanymous in victory: otherwise, the loser will grow and get you eventually - just look at what Germany did to France after France pursued a naively vindictive Versailles Treaty after WWI. No, Israel need to show decent Lebanese that it is Hizbollah, Syria, and whatever Lebanese support them that are the culprits.
Irish Guy 2112 ,   Tel-Aviv   (07.13.06)
28. For Andy in England
It's heartwarming to know there are still people like Andy in England. We confront the ugly face of terrorism daily and yet world media often portrays us to be the baddies. We won't give in to terrorism. We daren't. Our survival depends on its eradication - and so does yours. God bless you England.

In response to: "I think it is fair when you attacke Beirut, Safad/Keryat 8 or other IL cities should be also attacked by Hizbulah... isn't fair? " You are implying that Israel provoked this conflict with Lebanon. Au contraire my friend, Israeli soldiers were kidnapped and attacked without provocation. Israel responded by applying pressure on Lebanon to reign in Hizbullah by bombing the runway of the airport. Notice, they didn't intend to attack civilians by bombing the runways. Hizbullah on the other hand is raining Katushas down on Israeli civilian population centers. Targetting non-combatants, children, the elderly, is disguisting. In sum I don't think you can compare what happened or will happen in Beirut to what is happening in Kiryat Shmona. Israel makes every effort to avoid civilian casualties. Have you noticed that Israel attacked empty buildings in Gaza? The attacks on the north were meant to maximize civilan casualties. Equally important to keep in mind is that Lebanon allowed this to happen and Lebanon can put a stop to this.
