As a native Englander I've learned not to believe "news" reports stating civilian deaths in the case of Islamics. They lie to twist the media reports and to incite the Israel/Jew haters. My first thought is that Israel is attacking the cowards from Hezbollah fleeing the mess that they created. Somebody needs to clean up the Goebbels brigade at the Independent and the Guardian.

Read the fine print. "All it's territories" includes, to their mind but not to the mind of the UN, Shaaba farms. Therefore, "with the help of the UN" means that if the UN will accept the Lebanese claim, it will move its army into South Lebanon. This is what they've always said, it is nothing new at all. And no word about releasing the prisoners, OR disarming Hezbollah. AND, note that the UN has done nothing but help the guerillas snatch Israeli soldiers, so frankly, the Lebanese are going to have to find the balls to do this on their own and not hide behind the UN or ask others to do this for them. This is a great idea if the egyptians, saudis and jordanians will comit troops, to help the lebanese army, and Ha-ze'vella frees the two isareli soldiers they kinapped. the lebanese government was overly familiar with hizbullah's intent to kidnap israeli soldiers and they knew it was going to happen, yet they sat idly by. now they complain about israel's response. if they didn't want this they should have been doing something about hizbullah when they had the time and chance to. it's too late now for acting like they are innocent and not responsible.

As always, when Israel begins to dismantle her enemies, along comes the U.N., and the world community, to demand a cease-fire. The U.N. absolutely does not want Hizbollah and Hamas destroyed. They want Israel to be no more. Israel must completely ignore the U.N. and do what it needs to do, or terrorism against Israel will never end. Enough is enough. Dayenu.

This is all about appeasing those with an agenda of destroying Israel. The Arab world is acting out it's agenda towards Israel and the west is more concerned about it's investments & petrodollars than Israel. Now Lebanon wants a ceasefire .... so Hizbullah can rearm ! Lebanon never faced up to demans to deal with Hizbullah in the first place. They will not do so now. Once Israel withdraws they will return to where they were before. Israeli withdrawal from it's security zone in Lebanon, created in the first place in response to Arab cross-border terrorism into the Jewish state, brought about a void into which marched the Hizbullah whose sworn agenda is to destroy Israel. The Lebanese/Syrian presence did nothing to secure the border despite a UN resolution calling for such measures. The subsequent control of the border by a terrorist group resulted in continued launches of missiles into Israel. Israel withdrew from Gaza in good faith on the premise that Palestinian violence would not continue. The reality is that Israeli towns and villages in Gaza became terrorist training camps and platforms from which to launch more missiles against the Jewish state. Concessions forced upon Israel surrounding the Gaza border control resulted in the ability of Palestinian terrorists to perpetrate the recent attack which resulted in the kidnapping of Corporal Gilad Shalit. Now the situation in Gaza and Lebanon threatens world peace, Israel, having made unreciprocated concessions, is forced to defend attacks upon it's population from two fronts. I know how my own country would react to being bombarded with missiles & it would wouldn't like other countries condemning them for defending themselves either. But this is the hypocrisy and expediency of politics.

Israel is exploiting this event as they did in Gaza to implement other Agenda. Israel is implementing American Zioinist Agenda in the region and not Hezbollah

I am glad Israel is destroying the infrastructure and HQs of Hizbollah, but Israel needs to be careful not to mess with Christian populated areas, nor to escalate the conflict beyond this point. Stick to pounding South lebanon.
