It's unfortunate that Berlin was the site of the anti-Israel protest because Germany has been a good friend of Israel for many years. It was also fitting in a way, however, because these Islamic radicals are the Nazis and Fascists of our day. They follow an ideology built on a foundation of mythology and hatred. Guys, The main reason for what is happening nowadays in Gaza and South Lebanon is the Israeli ccupation and oppression. Beieve me, as long as this occupation continues and the 10,000 arrested Palestinians stay there, there is no hope. There were never a people called Palestinians or a place called Palestine until 70 AD. That is when the Romans defeated, occupied and destroyed the land called Israel. This is also when they destroyed the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem where the present Islamic Mosque stands. The Romans wanted no reference left of Israel so they renamed the land Palestine. So my question is: How can Israel occupy and oppress a people who are on the land that Israel occupied prior to 70 AD? I realize that this is factual history and you guys have a problem with that. I'm not even a Jew or that religious, yet I know the history of the land. And I got it from history books. Not the Bible or the Torah. Where does your history lessons come from? Ask yourself honestly.

To march in Berlin carrying placards calling for death to Israel and to Zionists is not in keeping with German law. I can only hope that Berlin is not so weighed down by her history to hamper her ability to stamp out these vermin that crawled up out of the Spree. When you cite "terror bombings" I can only assume that you must mean the barrage of rockets and shells that Hizbullah launched into Israel from Lebanon that started this episode? Or did you mean the qassam rockets that Hamas has been raining into Israel from Gaza for weeks and months now? Or maybe you mean the not-yet-carried out threats by Iran to destroy Israel? What exactly do you mean?

Randi, I would not argue about history now. everybody may claim that he or she is right. Rather, I am arguing about the FACTS on the ground NOW. In the historic Palestine, if you want to call, there are 3.2 millions Palestinians in west bank and 1.3 millions in Gaza. Additionally, there are 1.2 millions inside Israel. Those 5.7 millions of the Palestinians are demographically grwoing more than those who come from USA and the rest of the world to establish the state of Israel in 1948!!! The roots of opression started after then. In 2010, the Palestinains are going to be majority there and the palestinian state is coming sooner or later, trust me.

Keren, Of course I know the answer. Perhaps what will make me happy is very similar to what would make YOU happy. Real peace in the land of peace, how??? If the Occupation is done, treating the Palestinians as human beings and recognizing their rights will make all of us happy. We have been suffering, I personally did, from occupation since decades. I have not seen my dad since 7 years bacause he is arrested in Israel. Beleive me, we love life and we want peace. However, we need our rights first of all.
