(07.18.06)
Government in Beirut, UN agencies point finger at Israel. Israelis are pointing fingers at the leftists for being so naive and gullible. Leftists who have noone to point fingers at point it at G-d and the Rabbis. What do the Rabbis have to do with causing the war.
3. Sad, but...
J ,   Newcastle, UK   (07.18.06)
what would happen to the Israeli Jews if, G_d forbit, in the worst case scenario the Muslim armies siege Israel? Israel is even protecting their Arab citizens who are also under attack from the Muslim imperialists of HezbAllah!!!

6. Release Kidnapped Soldiers
Marcel ,   Florida   (07.18.06)
Instead of stopping Hezbollah fire and releasing the kidnapped IDF soldiers ,the leaders of lebaonon find it easier to blame the Jews. Isn't that what adolph Hitler did for all the problems Germany faced ? Nothing has changed ,it's only gotten worse and is directly attributed to every concession Israel made to your cousins who never failed to miss an opportunity and alway refusr to take responsiblity ofr their action. If I had a brother / cousin like this ,I would pray to Aba daily for his intervention with my hopeless relative. You've tried everything else Israel. In this struggle which the neither the U.N. not the U.S. or the E.U. will be able to fix.
7. Always easier to blame Israel
Orit ,   Toronto   (07.18.06)
.. how about pointing the finger at the Lebanese gov't for not taking control of its "military".
8. Aren't the Isrealis fleeing from Sfat and Haifa refugees?
Jenny   (07.18.06)
Why the hypocrisy? Should Israel be blamed b/c we take care of our citizens and the Lebanese gov't does not take care of theirs?
9. Refugees
Keith ,   NY,USA   (07.18.06)
I guess this guy forgot or didn't know that terrorist don't follow the Geneva Convention. Once again, if these people would have done somthing in the first place, like using their own army to remove hezbullah from amongst them, then they would not have to leave their homes today because of Israels forced hand of protecting themselves. My heart truly is with the people of Lebenon, especially the ones who don't stand for islamist fundallism. But, they should have done somthing a long time ago. I'm sure that no one can say that America is against all the middle east, save Israel, if we are sending money to help. For those pathetic fanatic muslims out there, that is called an oxymoron. If you don't know what that is, look it up in your dictionary.
10. Well that's just too bad
(07.18.06)
People always suffer in war. The answer: don't start one.
11. disarm Hezbollah or there will be more
MARK ,   USA   (07.18.06)
What is wrong with the citizens of Lebanon. They complain about getting attacked but do nothing to stop it. Pressure Hezbollah to stop.
12. Lebanon: Pressure the terrorists to leave
MARK ,   USA   (07.18.06)
If not you will suffer. You seem to choose this way so stop complaining.
13. All of Lebanon will be refugees
MARK ,   USA   (07.18.06)
The refugees can go to Iran or Syria. They caused this mess and the Lebanese did Nothing to stop it and they have a nerve to complain and ask for pity. They do not deserve pity. None.
14. The Lebanese Started this mess
Issac RE #5 ,   Berkeley , CA / USA   (07.18.06)

It is people like you who spout out of their ignorant mouths that make life more difficult. Israel NEVER started anything, they do, and do well, finish it. well at least they should. It is because of this, them not finishing the job, is the reason for these conflicts. Get educated before you shout out stupidity, ok?

Mr Transfer ,   Transferriya   (07.18.06)
And then once we finish with the bastards in the North, IDF can deal with the Amalek in the south
18. Lebanese: You caused all of this.
MARK ,   USA   (07.18.06)
Any country that allows terrorists to run their country and participate in their government is asking for total destruction. That is an insane policy. The Palestinians did this and voted for terrorists. What has been the result? Gaza has turned into a living hell on earth. Lebanon is joining that category.
19. Dont target the Druze and Chrisitans.
(07.18.06)
Only Hizballah and their Shii supporters.
20. Egeland is a notorious antisemite
Terrence ,   Orange County, CA   (07.18.06)
who cares what he says, IDF is targeting Hizbollah places, it has warned civilians to leave - if they don't leave, well, you had your chance.
21. And aren't the OVER 1/2 Million Refugees In Israel NOW???

How much money is the Red Cross giving to the Israeli refugees? The hell will freeze over before I give a penny to that worthless organization. How dare this paper worry about the enemy before their own people?

28. to #5 & #7 and other ignorants
(07.18.06)
Well i'll reply in the polite manner as urs. U require a bit of explanation Hizballah doesn't mean Lebanon, they are a militant backed up force by Syria and Iran, operating in lebanon (even a 5 year old kid knows that). Syria withdrew from lebanon last year, losing their control over lebanon, which gave a chance for he new goverment to discuss hizballah's arms. But again, there's no way to control them because any military confrontation would mean another civil war in Lebanon. The goverment was taking care of them in a peaceful way, because they had no excuse to exist and their disrarming was a matter of short time ... just as the israeli goverment requires weeks of full military power to get rid of them, the lebanese goverment needed time too to negiotiate .. so don't blame the lebanese goverment. If Israel, one of the greatest military powers had and is still having trouble dealing with them since 1982, how would u expect the new free of syrian influence lebanese goverment, to do that in one year??and yet it was pretty close... Hizballah started this as an order from Iran to give them the excuse to exist again and to relieve the pressure on hizballah to disarm, They don't give a shit about lebanon. Yes Israel was right to respond. But going to this extent of mass destruction of a whole country , killing innocent civilians and children is why Israel is blamed ... Israel well knows that if it attacked Iran or syria, all this terror will be over, but fearing Iran's military power, the cowards launched their war on lebanon, because it's an easy defenslees country with no actual military power, justifying it as a self defense act ... pussies They should fight "man to man" againts iran and syria ... but obviously the IDF is scared of them ...
29. My heart goes for the innocents
me   (07.18.06)
But unfortunately this has to be done. One important thing that should ne mention. The casualties in lebanon would have been much greater if it wasn't for the humanity of the IDF not like the hizbulla who is looking only to hurt innocent.
30. In my humble opinion...
Jumpy ,   The border, ISRAEL   (07.18.06)
I see very little educated, or even sensibility and sensitivity in these talkbacks. I think you guys should step out of the safety of your far away places and come here. I am on the northern border, and I mean within meters. Since Wednesday evening, I have been living in a bombshelter with my small son. As if the roars of planes above, the blasts of incomings and outgoings are not enough to make us jumpy, we live with the worry of border crossings as well. Would someone like to ask UNICEF what they have been doing there for how many years? Perhaps how they "cannot intervene" when witnessing a border crossing or act of hostility? Yes, there are refugees, victims, death in wars... I guess your opinion would come from which side you decide to support. Anyway, I would love the luxury of shouting "bastards, MF-ers, Sh-ts" from somewhere safe and quiet. So, you are welcome to join the experience of living on the border, I'll even invite you to my bombshelter and make you a cup of coffee!. A special note to Keith and Mark: Thank you for adding your opinions, it's nice to know there are still some intelligent folk out there! Oneday, somewhere far and safe (preferably on your side of the pond), we should have a drink :o) I bet we would have a blast!
