As much as I would love to see the Srian regime fall and the Kurds freed, hitting Assad is not such a good idea. Syria's government is made of majority Shiites while they actually represent 10% of the Syrian population. If Assad's government falls then the majority sunnis will take power and it will be like Iraq but Sunni style. The way the US sees it is that Syria is a rogue state but at the same time it is resisting an Islamic government to form in Syria. I guess they prefer the former for now.

" you may be missing the point. the article says that syria is upset that hizbollah is using the fresh suppys from syria instead of using their own stores and thats what is upseting them. in short it almost sounds like the turn of the tide. pretty soon, syria will stop sending those supplys effectively cutting hizbollahz lifeline and then they will be trapped like the mice they are. hopefully it will be syria that will turn on hizbollah becouse lebanon is too shell shocked to see through the fog of war and do whats right to save thir own skins.
