Hanzala ,   Jerusalem-Palestine   (07.20.06)
In the past and in the futur the resistance movments will win. Best samples USA-Vietnam, NAC- S. Africa and others resistance movements... It is only a time question that Hizbullah & Co. are going to win. They are integrated in the society, you and your IDF try to close the eyes. Your IDF leads to more problems...... Regards, J.
3. Washington provided a "green light"
Marcel ,   Florida   (07.20.06)
Israel, you should use your own green light . That wat if the beltway gang decide to turn their greenlight ,red for you it won't matter !!!!!!!!
4. Israel can destroy an entire terrorist organization.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Santa Monica, CA   (07.20.06)
nastyrallah and his hez-bull-ah scum didn't know that Israel would be given the opportunity to eliminate them from the face of the earth. Now it is happening and they can't get a hudna (fake cease fire) to regroup. Oh well, when you try to kill the Jews after you've lost four wars, there must be something seriously diseased in your "brains."
5. #2= idiot

6. ISRAEL-THE BRAVEST COUNTRY ON EARTH
DEBRA ,   USA   (07.20.06)
ISRAEL IS TAKING DOWN TWO HORRIFIC TERROR GROUPS--HIZBOLLAH AND HAMAS--AT THE SAME TIME. THE STRENGTH, POWER AND COURAGE OF THE ISRAELI MILITARY IS AWESOME. AND IT IS BEING SEEN BY THE WORLD. ISRAEL IS PROVIDING THE MILITARY LEADERSHIP AND EXAMPLE THAT WILL LEAD TO THE INEVITABLE DESTRUCTION OF THE ISLAMOFASCIST ASSAD AND THE IRANIAN HITLER. ISRAEL'S BATTLE FOR SECURITY IS INSPIRING THE ENTIRE FREE WORLD TO FOLLOW ISRAEL'S LEAD---TO DESTROY TERROR PERMANENTLY.
7. WAR
Wael ,   canada   (07.20.06)
I have nothing to add but express my sympathy for all the children who died on both sides of the boarder. I also can't help but wonder howcome that they have to ultimately give up their lives for a conflict with which they have nothing to do. The scope and depth of the ongoing bloodshed is well beyond any single isolated incident whether it's the kidnapping of the two israeli soldiers or the lebanese prisoners in israeli jails. It is so easy to find someone or something outside yourself and blame it for all your suffering. However, as simple and naive as it may sound, it DOES take two hands to clap, and both parties are responsible for the current state of affairs. I have no power over how, when, or where I will die. But I have power over how I will live my life, and what legacy will I leave to my children. I hope and pray that it will be a legacy of peace, progress, and tolerance. I pray for peace.

Because we Jews of the world ARE the resistance.
9. To #7 the canadian
norskefiske ,   Norway   (07.20.06)
You are right, it is hard to see civilians suffer, and I share a pray with you for the innocent ones. You are also right for saying that it is beyond a single incident. Israel is acting now to destroy a terror organisation that put as its purpose destruction of any settlement or agreement between Israel and the Arabs. It is the outcome of the Iranian and Syrian extremism. It is the Shiite way. Even Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan understand that. This war has a much bigger scope. This is the way Iran projects problem out of its borders. The only hope for Lebanon it to puke the Hizballa out of it, until then Lebanon cannot claim not being part of the dispute. Until then, lets keep on praying for the innocents.

How about sending you to deal with them, big mouth prophet ?
11. Response to #2
Johnny Bee ,   South Africa   (07.20.06)
Please dont compare the Palestinian struggle to the South African one. Doing so severely undermines the just struggle of anti-Apartheid 'fighters'. If you want to be more educate3d and on the Apartheid struggle please ask. its a common misconseption often used by anti-zionist propagandists to do so. In the future please fully research your arguement before posting it. Ha"Am im ha'Tsafon One Love Johnny Bee

Roberto ,   Montevideo Uruguay   (07.20.06)
There are two kind of injustices: 1) to treat equal people in a different way 2) to treat different people in the same way. There are 3 kinds of enemies of the State of Israel 1) the honest ones, who say what they really want, like Hamas and Hizbolla who say they want to destroy Israel. To this enemy my intention is to fight and prevail 2) the dishonest enemy, like BBC as an example, who systematically tells half truths to try to harm Israels image in the appearence of giving just information, as in saying that this war is "about 2 soldiers having been kidnapped" instead of saying what they of course KNOW , that the kidnap was just the drop that made the glass overflow and the the real issue is the terrorists determination to make life in Israel unsufferable becuase of terror. I know how to confront these people too: calling the shots for what they are... our enemies. 3) and then we have the category of enemies of Israel in which you fall Wael, the kind of person who makes us harm treating us in an equal basis as the terrorists, as in "it takes 2 hands to clap" Of course it is sad the children die in war. It is sad that children die of cancer too. But issues have NOTHING to do with the central issue of that war. To this kind of Israels enemy as you are Wael, I know what to do, too. To show you my contempt towards you Roberto from Uruguay

Thank you for sharing my prayers for peace. You are right as well; Hizballah, Syria, and Iran are not shy about their support of one another (though the aspects and extent of this support is not publicized). However, and with all due respect to your opinion, I disagree with your conclusion that Lebanons only hope is "to puke the Hizballa out of it". If that is so, then this ongoing fighting will continue reaping more innocent lives as Lebanon (and I'd imagine Israel knows this better than we do) is not equipped to do so. The wounds of the Lebanese civil war are not yet healed and the new republic has not had the chance to assert its sovereignty over its lands. I refuse to go into the argument of what is and what is not an "Act of War" in terms of international law, because then the "other side" would claim that occupying the shaba'a farm is an "Act of War" or Syria's "Golan Hights" as well. In my humble opinion the whole "Act of War" and "Every nation has a right to defend herself" argument is an oversimplification of a very complicated issue. Achieving peace requires more perseverence than war. I think Lebanon's only hope is a paradigm shift in the perspective of all the decision makers who are escalating the problem, regardless to who it was whom had created it in the first place. The blame game is tedious and fruitless and the "who did what to who" can ping-pong all the way to 1948 or even 1881. The sad truth is that civilians are still the expendable pawns of in the game of war. Just say NO to war.
14. Dan Halutz - I salute you!
Talula ,   Israel   (07.20.06)
This man is great. I love him! He has compassion for his soldiers and a determination to destroy our enemy. He is strong and wise and knows which direction to take. Thank you CoS Halutz!!!!!
15. number 2 - do you know what is the problem ?
(07.20.06)
that you are wrong and you know it !
16. unlikely
Aryeh   (07.20.06)
Israel has a real army with real technology. Your "resistence" has rockets which they don't know how to aim, and people willing to blow themselves up. This is a lot like the "resistence" of the native americans against the europeans who conquered north America.
17. #10 Michael, you're blind. The bombing damaged your sight.
Jay N. ,   Jerusalem   (07.20.06)
Lib's like you brought on this situation. Voting for a Left-wing party who's only ambition was to give huge chucks of our country over to the enemy. Setting back and appeasing the Arabs will only bring about our demise. Only the Arabs and Left-wingers such as yourself don't see a problem with the Iranian nuclear program. When will you people ever wake up? One would think that after having your city bombed by terrorists who are back by Iran would finally get it. I guess some are thicker than others. The situation in the north and in Gaza is taking the spotlight off Iran, Jeremiah is right we should be worried about Iran. You have no solutions all you can do is throw insults. Get a life. #10 Michael, you're blind. The bombing damaged your sight.
18. Israel is justified
Sarah Lascar ,   Bellaire, TX   (07.20.06)
Continue to remove those whose aim is the destruction of the State of Israel. No citizen should live under continuous rocket attacks and Israel must fight to eliminate them.
19. That word Resistance again
Talula ,   Israel   (07.20.06)
Resistance , Resistance , Resistance . We are so sick and tired of your stupid speeches about Resistance . GIVE IT A REST! You are not strong enough to resist a cockcroach let alone the military might and determination of Israelis. Resistance has left you with thousands of people dead, and absolutely no future at all. You silly stupid Fuck!
20. War against terror
Hilda ,   USA   (07.20.06)
Unfortunately not once did the US president mention the word terror. He still doesn;t understand that IsrEl is fighting the same terrorists as the US. The chutzpah to tell Israel she has one week to fight Hezbollah and then must stop. How dare he? The hypocrisy which the world views this is amazing. Any other country which has suffered through what Israel is experiencing now for years would have had the green light to go ahead and destroy the devils long ago. Instaead with one mouth Kofi says Israel has the right to defend itself and then condemns her for fighting back. What did he expect Israel to do when rockets are falling and killing in Haifa, Tiberious, Tzfat etc turn the other cheek ? Lebanon is lucky Israel doesn;t drop a little A bomb on her. That's what it should do in Gaza.Unfortunately, I don't believe any of the kidnapped soldiers are still alive. It certainy would add a little terror to their existence.
