Marcel ,   Florida   (07.20.06)
The mouth of the great army of hezbollah is silent ? Has he decided to take a vacation to paradise ? I'm tired of hearing the world and the Lebanese crying for the innocent victims . Whre where they for the past 20 +years when Israeli civilians were being blown into pieces by their much beloved and adored Palestinians ?

Marcel, youre going to hear him soon , don't worry about him ! The Arabs and Lebanese don't cry any more because they don't believe in the "interational community" any more .. they believe only in their heroes .. So keep striking we got use already long time ago .. Then wait and see who is the loser at the very end..

A disproportionate number of Lebanese have been killed as compared to the number of Israelis. Lives on both sides are equally valuable, so every time you mourn the loss of an innocent Israeli you should also mourn the loss of life of the innocent Lebanese people. Their entire country is now in ruins because of Israel's disproportionate response to Hezbollah. While Hezbollah certainly started this fight, Israel should dismantle Hezbollah, not all of Lebanon. They are only creating more enemies. While I mourn the loss of innocent Israeli life through suicide bombings over the past 20+ years, I also mourn the loss of innocent Palestinian life over the past 20+ years - which is much higher than the number of Israeli civilians killed. There is enough hatred and blame over in that part of the world - we don't need Americans picking up that hatred! After traveling to the West Bank and Israel and meeting many people Israeli and Palestinian, Jew, Christian, and Muslim, it is impossible for me to say who is right and who is wrong. All I know is that killing civilians on either side is wrong and should be condemned.

7. Number 5; utter nonsense!!
Yidith ,   Toronto   (07.20.06)
Moral -equivalency is BS; you and all the other Jew-hating leftists just can't stand it when we don't drop dead to please you but instead have the balls to defend ourselves and choose to LIVE. Yes we are stronger and yes we are smarter; that's why there are less dead Jews than dead Arabs!! And this simple fact is what makes you Jew-haters so crazy... well tough luck buddy; we aren't going to drop dead to satisfy your immoral warped sense of so-called "ethics". The M.E situation isn't some kind of GAME with rules about what's fair and what isn't; this is real life survival! May you experience a time when you and your family are in imminent danger of extermination THEN we'll talk; until that time I suggest you keep your insipid ideas to yoursef. How offensive!!

Well I am neither a Jew-hater or a leftist. And I do know that the situation in the M.E. is not some easy to understand game that can be solved. It is rather a complex history of hatred and wrongdoing by BOTH sides that continues to perpetuate violence in the region. I SUPPORT the right of Israel to exist and never want to see it destroyed, but that does not mean that certain aspects of their policies can't be criticized. How is bombing the hell out of Beruit ever going to help Israel be more secure, all it does is inflame hatred against Israel among those who had not problem with Israel in the first place! You are right I do not know, and probably will never know what it is like to have my life in real danger - my 3 months living in the region is my only taste of the conflict. I saw the pain suicide bombers cause Israelis through my conversations, and I condemn this violence greatly. In the same way though I heard stories from Palestinians, were their land was taken and houses destroyed so Israel could build settlements. Think also of the Palestinians who have no future, yes, partly because of their lousy leadership, but also because of the occupation. And yes while the Hezbollah terrorists deserve to be punished for their actions, the many innocent civilians of Lebanon do not! And please refrain from calling everyone who may disagree with certain policies of the Israeli government a Jew-hater, that wins you no argument.

I'm tired of you belt way freaks and creeps tying Israel's hands all the time . You made a mess for Israel to clean up in the Paestinina Terrorist Territories and you contunue to dump money down this Gaza sewer. You idiots in Washington should HELP THE SITUATION by just shutting up and get out of the way Thats why Israel is in this mess to begin with. I'm fed up with your bogus argument about disproportionate force. War is hell As for Israel creating more enemies ,they always were Israels enemies deep down inside. Israel is only bringing out this reality. What about your lack of proportinate force on Nagasaki and Hiroshima . WHY DIDN'T YOU WAIT TILL THE JAPANESE GOT THE BOMB ?
10. #5 is right
BH ,   Washington DC   (07.20.06)
#7, what Israel is doing to Lebanon is just reinforcing Hizbollah. Remember that Lebanese Catholics hate Hizbollah but seeing what is happening, Israelism racism running amuck, they're starting to believe in them. I even heard that some Christians in the Northern Beirut area are planning to recruit new brigades for Hizbollah. If that happens, it will be a slap in the face for USA and Israel because then Hizbollah won't be a Shiite movement anymore and the pretext of Muslim fundamentalism will be eliminated. Thank you Israel for making them strong. Idiots.
11. Marcel, has not a grey cell
(07.20.06)
"Whre where they for the past 20 +years when Israeli civilians were being blown into pieces by their much beloved and adored Palestinians ? " 20 + years? After 50 years of occupation and oppression is when some Palestinians finally turned to suicide bombing and this was just a margin over 10 years ago. And if you were so bothered by death of the innocent, then where is this concern today as you see daily pictures of Lebanese and Palestinian children charred and blasted to pieces. Tell me Mr Marcel, did you cry in 1982? How many tears of joy did you shed at Sabra and Shatila? And what do you feel deep down inside? Dont give me this nonesense, you are the terrorist.

What has Washington done to tie the hands of Israel? The leadership here sits siliently as Israel continues to bomb Lebanon, but yet you say Washington should shut up and get out of the way? Secondly Washington provides Israel with $6 billion a year in aid. Where do you think Israel gets its weapons from? It is ridiculous for you to criticize the US government, when without the support of the US Israel would not be where it is today! I believe the US government should support the existence of Israel, but it should tell Israel to end the occupation of Palestinian land and its disproportional attacks against Lebanon.

abe ,   brooklyn NY   (07.21.06)
End the occupation of palistine? is that what you want israel to do.? well lets see.. according to the arabs israel does not have a right to exist they want us of the map so where should we go maybe jz will give us some land. ok enough with that how about when the israeli PM olmert/sharon wanted to give the palistinians a state against their own will and even started evacuating israeli settelments. is your memory short it wasnt to long ago. Bottom line is there is no one to talk to and this kind of offensive is long over due.
