Delightful. Getting the "international community" behind an attack on Iran would be fruitless. So it seems this was the Bush/Rumsfeld alternative. If Iran does nothing, the mullahs look at weak as they actually are. Does government, so widely despised by the people, fall? If Iran joins this conflict, the US attacks from two sides. Iran, after all, is the source of Iraq's problems. Notice how Iraq is keeping mum.

Israel has occupied part of Syria since 1967. It is called the Golan Heights. If Syria hasn't been brave enough or strong enough to take back the Golan Heights in the last 39 years, how is anyone supposed to take them seriously when they threaten to enter the fray between Israel and Hizbollah?
