Israel has no more friends, you cant use the SLA as a reference point to justify your war on Lebanon. Israel made a big mistake leaving south lebanon and abondoning sla. Israel should have set up a separate christian government in south lebanon. Long term this is a good idea for the christians and Israel. Lebanon will only continue along the path of islamisation and sooner or later the christians will again be in trouble from muslim intolerance. The christians should have a safe haven other than leaving lebanon. Then South lebanon could recapture the old Paris of the mideast image.

The question to Marlene is whether she agrees with the destruction of all the infrastructure of Lebanon knowing that unltimatly Israel will enter into negotiations as current events seems to suggest. Lebanon's creation was initiated by France in order to get the only christian state in the middle-east. Unfortunately, as for Egypt's Kopt christians, they became very soon a minority. First because muslims have a stronger rate birth. Secund, because they are very convincing for converting people to Islam. And last, because of intimidation, they encouraged many chritians to emigrate to US and Europe. That's why you will find nowadays more lebanese citizens abroad, than in Lebanon itself.
