I actually watch FoxNews since it covers what is happening in Israel as much if not more than what is happening in Lebanon. You are right, most newspapers and television stations are very biased toward the 'poor arab nations' Why don't they use some of their money on something other than war?

I watched ABC news tonight and there was not one mention of 1400 rockets being fired into Israel. All they showed was the "innocent" civilians of Lebanon. Gee I wonder of ABC has an agenda with this war...

I saw a picture of a group of innocent Lebanese children in a Hezbolah version of boyscouts. They were in camoflage and saluting nazi style. These are the next generation of murdering terrorists. This conflict won't end just because Isreal stops defending itself. Right, right, NOT a terrorist organization, b/c we all know that's bad. But Hezbollah DOES target non-combatants for the purpose of striking fear and terror into Israelis; they even SAY so. IDF target strategic and tactical sites b/c they respect the law of war and understand how counterproductive it is to target civilian populations. They may take actions that result in collateral damage--and yes, the life of every Lebanese man, woman, and child DO matter--but that is NOT their goal. If the captured soldiers were part of an IDF plan/conspiracy, we'd have heard that from H by now and they'd have tortured the information from the soldiers as well. Those two would be far more useful for media purposes if there were ANY truth to what #11 claims. You judge.

It is a war crime to use human shields as Hizbullah is doing. They hide among women, children, hospitals, mosques, etc., which is defined as a war crime. Why isn't the incompetent UN leader Kofi Annan demanding that Hizbullah quit committing war crimes? The Hizbullah are gutless and need to be killed, all of them. Israel takes many precautions to minimized injuries to civilians. On the other hand, Hizbullah tries to maximize injuries to civilians.

A previous poster mentioned that targeting civilians was counterproductive in war. Actually, nothing could be further from the truth. Guerillas like Hezbollah are able to exist and maintain operations because they enjoy the support of the population within which they operate. Slaughter enough of the population, and they lose that support, either due to the change in opinion, or the change in population. I would, in fact, argue that killing civilians on purpose is just about the only way to suppress guerillas. How did Alexander the Great conquer Afghanistan? Butchering people by the village. How did the USA defeat Japan? We killed two CITIES. Incidentally, by that time, we had bombed 80% of Tokyo into rubble with conventional bombs. This partial, nice-guy approach to war that the west takes now is the perfect recipe for ending up in 50-year low intensity conflicts. The enemy will not stop attacking you until you pummel them so badly that they realize peace is a better option, and that war only leads to death and destruction. Go read Clausewitz.

Since it is well known that Hizbullah hides among civilians, that means that these 1,000+ rockets were brought into their neighborhoods. You'd think someone would have noticed all this.
