Whether turning villages into "sand boxes" is legal or illegal I can't say. But I can definitely tell everyone that turning villages or sections of cities into "sand boxes" is harming Israel's image. The only reason there isn't more outcry is that those who control the news media in some countries, such as the US, suppress the worst pictures. WILL ISRAEL EXIST 100 YEARS FROM NOW? That's the question almost nobody seems to be asking. Certainly it is unacceptable to have rockets raining down on Israeli civilians, but why hasn't Israel tried negotiating with its opponents for the last six years? Israel always gives the excuse "no peace partner." Increasingly it seems that what Israel wants is not a genuine peace partner, but a Quisling who will surrender before Israel talks. THE WORLD IS NOT BEING FOOLED -- AT LEAST THE WORLD OUTSIDE THE US IS NOT BEING FOOLED.

Isreael is fooling itself if it thinks there will be better support from the world if they don't increase the number of troops or do more extensive bombings. They should be burning these villages from which katushas are fired to the ground using air fire and spare the lives of the army.

I am very concerned about Israeli strategy in Lebanon. Of course, Israel has the right to defend themselves against Hizbollah. But the current bloodshed appears out of proportion: Is it really Israels strategy to expel any civilian population from all of south Lebanon and render that part of the country uninhabitable? (I refer to the use of sub-ammunitions that practically leave the country mined with unexploded material, the destruction of whole villages after warnings to the inhabitants and the massive destruction of infrastructure here.) How safe can Lebanese civilian bystanders like women and children be when even UN-soldiers with prime diplomatic contacts to the Israeli Army become victims of Israels bombardements?

Israel sarted it: 1- In early 2006, Israel hired spies to kill a lebanese person In Beirut suburb saying that he is Hizballah terrorist. 2- couple of months back they killed two palestinian in Saidon lebanon from the airplane. 3- They keeps on crossing Lebanese water and kidnapping fishermen from Tyre. or that doesn't count? 4- And remember that they've been in lebanon and never left since 1978( the first invation) and still ocuppied Shebaa farms. 5- if Israel traded all lebanese as they agreed upon back in 2004 hizballah wouldn't have crossed. they warned them many times before, but Israel did not take it seriously. so it's ok for lebanese to cross the border 1 time
