1. Cry or Laugh?
France being responsible for Israel's security along the northern border makes about as much sense as asking Iran/N. Korea to keep the peace.
Israel is being led down the path to oblivion by the left, masquerading as the right.

2. As long as Israel keeps firm
in not agreeing to give up one more inch of its land, and ONLY seeks its own People's best interests, every thing is fine.
If ANY agreement goes against this principles,Olmert MUST say NO!
Enough of Israel's concessions! It is already passed the time for Israel's Will to prevail when related to its own issues.

3. Bad news!!! The French obviously cannot be trusted!
After all, France has been for decades extremely unfriendly towards Israel, perhaps because of an widespread and ill disguised anti-semitism harbored my most Frenchmen. It seems to me that only American troops would be reliable enough as a peacekeeping buffering force. The thought of French troops in Shouther Lebanon makes me very uncomfortable and worried!!!!

4. France?!
France is going to cover Israel's back? You've got to be kidding. I can't even think of a snappy response, it's so goofy. This "buffer force" will last about as long as it takes one of Nasrallah's thugs to chamber a round. We Jews are going to be condemmed no matter what we do. Finish the job and deal with the self-righteous bitching of the international community after all the rocket launchers have been wiped out. We'll still hear the same "blame Israel" crap, but our people will be alive.

5. France? French will be defending me?
And Olmert has actually AGREED to this? French? AKA The Surrendering Nation? The guys who just recently had barbarian hordes burning and pillaging their cities while the police did nothing and the elites were pondering how to appease the barbarians? France - the state in which a high-ranking political recently called for war against Israel? France, in which Jews are brutalized while the government looks on?
THEY are supposed to protect ME? How long will it take the French to start cooperating with Hizbolla? Or are they already discussing their future joint strategy?

with the frog history of "surrender first then run" what is the purpose of this futility? One can surely count on the french army quickly volunteering to being front-line agents for the terrorists

France is going to disarm Hezbollah?

11. Peace Agreement?
It has been announcde on NBC in the US that Shaaba Farms is to be given up, also.
Again, land for temporary ,socalled, cessation of fighting. This will be turned around as a win for Hezbollah, and put a independent Lebanon at a disadvantage and
Israel in still more peril. Can anyone
eluminate as to other consequences? Or what can Israelis do to preclude this?

14. French Peacekeepers....
Unfortunately after the French commited their army to act as peacekeepers something horrible happened. Evidently the French surrendered to Iran and Syria and Germany again after a small Syrian child lit a firecracker near the French forces. The French Army immediately laid down their arms to the small Sryian child. The small Syrian child is thinking about renaming that Chomps del a Lise place because no one other than the French can pronounce it. Big Archy Thing is a the top of his list.

Would this be the 'vichy' division, a cut and run division, or just your basic it's Israel's fault division.

Well. From the beginning you wanted someone to defend you in the north but you do not want France now. Looks like you need US (money and soldiers). Okay, you should not be selective if you can not defend yourself.

17. If it is the French Foreign Legion, YES!
I do not trust France or Lebanon, but this may be a good idea. The French Foreign Legion do not cut and run. They are as tough as they come and as President Bush would say they dont take no sh_t from no one. This corp is as tough as any that Israel has. They would have no qualms to use excessive force on Hizballah. If I was Hizballah I would be very worried about the French Foreign Legion.

19. FRANCE??????
Are you kidding me. After all this talk the best they could come up with is the French army? I think it would be safer for Israel to have the Syrian army guard the border. This is surely a disaster waiting to happen. Like the current UN forces, France wont do anything to protect the border and stop Hizbollah activities.

20. Wha.. Wha.. What? France?
France??? Why France? I don't even know whose side they are on. I have a bad feeling about this. Whenever France is involved there's trouble.

21. Peace
NWO is at work here. Peace can only benefit humanity. It is sad the loudest voices heard are the alledgedly elected. The people of this small planet are in this together. Let the Jihad be for what it is intended, stop the suffering of the common people. Don't the powers that be have enough? Let their be peace. Stop dividing human beings for their beliefs and upbringing. God bless all (There is only one Alla/God)

24. Hezbollah Drove French Out in 1980's
Does Olmert not have a memory? Does he forget that Hezbollah blew up the French army barracks and killed dozen of French solders in the early 1980's, causing the French to flee Lebanon?
Only an imbecile (French word) would count on the French to protect Israel's northern border from Hezbollah.
I feel pity any French soldiers who are put into this.

Franch troops? Why not also Swedish, Norwegian, Russian & Iranian troops? They all "LOVE" Israel and certainly have her "interest" at heart. Any other screwd up ideas?Let's also add Saudi & Libyan troops for "good measure". Who comes up with these dopey ideas? Probably Peres & Beilin.

Back ..since 1983 Drakkar terror attack, when hezbollah killed 58 frenc paratroopers during their sleep? I hope no.
I hope France will take part without tendancy to a Political neutrality, if Grance don't chose it's camps, the operation will fail like in 1983.

France is pro-Hizbollah. Ynot the US
be the peacekeepers with high tech missiles and smart bombs ready. Whoever in that role has to be intimidating and not pussies like the French.
