The loss of life is tragic. BUT, the UN and Lebanon have to accept responsibility for not implementing Resolution 1559, which demanded the disarming and disbanding of not only Hizbollah, but all militia in Lebanon. If this would have been implmented, there would be peace today, and all those who lost their lives would still be alive. Also, Lebanon is in breach of the Geneva Conventions that demand that military do not fight their wars among the civilian population. For embedding themselves among civilians, Hizbollah has committed war crimes.
