1. True Colors
Kate ,   Jerusalem   (07.30.06)
The Mask has dropped and Siniora steps forward. Now we see - not a helpless leader overtaken by Guerilla forces - but a man who considers terrorists to be the private army of his country - a man who calls these terrorists "good citizens".
2. kol haolam kulo gesher zar meod
gerd schulz ,   germany   (07.30.06)
vehaikra lo lefached klal!

gerd schulz ,   germany   (07.30.06)
The State of Israel is in crisis now and needs your support more than ever before. Help Israel - Sign the Petition http://globaljewish.com/
4. Siniora is a puppet on a string
Simon ,   C-Town, South Africa   (07.30.06)
Nasrallah pulls the strings and Siniora sings. I Knew all the time that he supported the Hezbullies.
5. Nasrallah's sacrifice
Steve G ,   Kew Gardens, NYC   (07.30.06)
Siniora said ........."He even expressed his full admiration for Nasrallah and all those who sacrifice their lives for Lebanon." If the IDF does its job right, Nasrallah will be getting additional thanks for sacrifice soon.
6. he feels guilty for allowing them to attack israel
rachel ,   usa   (07.30.06)
He feels guilty of all the bombing on lebanon for allowing Hezbollah to attack Israel. So he has to blame someone and of course who else but Israel . What else do Arab blame for all their problems.....
7. Siniora - Wolf in sheep's clothing
Adam ,   Raanana, Israel   (07.30.06)
So he supports terrorism too. The people of Lebanon will now suffer because there is no such thing as democracy in an Islamic country, no way, no how.
8. and there were objections to hitting beirut
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (07.30.06)
when people questioned why israel didn't just strike the southern hizbullah strongholds, here's your answer.
9. NOW IS THE TIME TO START TARGETING THE LEBANESE ARMY
aaron ,   ra'anana   (07.30.06)
10. Shimon: You are to blame
Joseph Kaufman ,   Oakland/Jerusalem   (07.30.06)
I find it ironic that the architech of the policy that has placed Israel in this present dilemma is now paraded out around the USA to defend Israel. Shimon Peres: You, through your policy of Oslo, inviting back terrorists, forgiving their treachery, encouraging Israeli retreat, and blind belief in the superiority of Air Power over the simple principals of Von Clausiwitz on war, ie, that the outcome is determined by who controls the ground, have created the mess that Israel is now in. Unfortunately, guerrillas only have to not loose to win a confrontration, whereas a regular army has to absolutely win to not loose. Shimon, hang your head in shame. Your optimism and perfidy against the Jewish people in your policies which brought about this mess make you a principal architect of the Jewish Nation's defeat. Shame on you. Your should be held accountable. How can you look at yourself in the mirror? How can you manage the energy to speak up, knowing what you've done. Israel is a nation of priests ruled by Pigmies. I weep.
11. Has any1 checked Siniora's house for the abducted Israelis ?
D- ,   San Diego, USA   (07.30.06)
12. So stupid
Ehud Feldman ,   Southfield, MI USA   (07.30.06)
This massacre has changed the PM and all lebanese people view of hezzbullah, thanks IAF.
13. Fouad Siniora suffers from Stockholm Syndrom
Neal ,   NJ,USA   (07.30.06)
What a coward. His lips quiver whenever he is interviewed. Siniora brought this upon his own country by ignoring his commitments to disarm Jizzbola. You made your bed Fouad, now you get to hide under it.
14. Siniora the terrorist
Larry ,   Eastbourne, UK   (07.30.06)
By expressing his support for Hizbullah Siniora confirms what we already knew from the fact that Hizbullah is part of his government, namely that the government of Lebanon is a terrorist government. All the absurd pretences that it is a "democracy", and that Siniora is someone that business can be done with, should be abandoned.
15. Saniora is another Hezbollanim...
Ronnie   (07.30.06)
Neither Saniora nor his politburo can be trusted to enforce anything. The guy (Rafik Hariri, the ex-PM) who truly wanted Syria and Hezbollah out of Lebanon paid for with this life for what he believed in. Saniora does not have the COJONES (balls) of Hariri and is a corrupt and impotent coward who bows down to terrorists.
16. Finally shows his true beliefs. Hypocrite bastard!!!!!!
Ricky ,   Beirut   (07.30.06)
17. Siniora you thank hizbullah for there ----
ERIC... ,   ISRAEL   (07.30.06)
sacrifices.Your a fool of a man .They those lunatics hizbullah just sacrificsed your country, and you call yourself a Prime Minister. You have no guts to stand up to hizbullah .They have caused such havoc and death to your country. You Prime Minister are to blame......
18. As a Lebanese I thank IDF
Ihab   (07.30.06)
Once again, the IDF has united the Lebanese people. The main threat was never the IDF's bombs and planes. rather it was the National disintegration. Qana , once again, united us as Lebanese. The only threat for the Hizbullah was the "non unity". The IDF's "civilized" acts unified us. The trauma inflicted on us is awakening us and telling us to overcome our political conflicts as Lebanese. Never, we could have been more united. As for Larry of UK, no Israel is the democracy that has killed today 30 babies. THis form of democracy should be kept within Israel. By the way, when Lebanon is rebuilt , we should ask for a wall between us and Israel because we are cautious not to mingle with such a mentality as barbaric as Israel. Job well done..IDF!!
19. Islamic Criminals
J Glueck ,   Phoenix USA   (07.30.06)
It is not possible to wage war without civilian losses. Did anyone say anything when hundreds of Israeli children or defenseless citizens are maimed or worse by cowardly murder? This is war. We will prevail and Nasrallah and Ahmadinejad will join Arafat and Hitler in hell as those responsible for mass murder.
20. Lebanese PM is a puppet. (END)
Evgeniy ,   NYC, US   (07.30.06)
21. Lebanon
wayne hutchinson ,   toronto, canada   (07.30.06)
......or should we call the land, Hizbullahnon. Really we see that the government and the peoples of that land see no problem with letting a terrorist entity reside and hide among the general population.....cowards that they are. And then they accuse Israel of genocide. Who started the war anyway? Obviously Hizbullah and if it did not exist there would be no war at all..........especially past UN resolutions demanded its dismantling. Did Lebanon or other Arab lands even make an effort to do so? Nooooooo wayyyyyyyy! In actually it is not Israel that is Lebanon's enemy, it is that Lebanon is its own worse enemy due to its shortsightedness in not dealing with Hizbollah years ago and profiting from past events involving Palestinian territories and the siege of Beirut in the 1980's. Wayne Hutchinson, Toronto, Canada.
22. israel is the center of terrorism
Lina ,   France-Liban   (07.30.06)
Siniora never called them terrorists, and we lebanese we all respect hezbollah, hezbollah are the lebanese resistance. and guess what, you are the terrorists, ,you always try to win by doing massacres against civilians. your country have the bloodiest history in the world. shame on idf army, who tries to win by destroying from the air a country, and by killing civilians. you are so jealous of the beauty of lebanon, you want destruct it. but we are here to construct it. and we will construct it, no worries; lebanon will be back.
23. Sooner or later
Arie   (07.30.06)
The truth of the relationship between the governments of what used to be lebanon had to come out in the open. It is just another aRabid state of terror
24. Lebanon never should have started a war.
Ron Rockman ,   Scotch Plains, NJ US   (07.30.06)
All along I have been saying that Lebanon started the war with Israel. Hizbollah is Lebanon, and Lebanon is Hizbollah. PM Siniora's comments support this. Unfortunately he allows his citizens to be placed in harms way. It is so sad, but that is the mentality that has to be overcome.
25. re larry
mark ,   uk   (07.30.06)
Hezbollah arent terrorists thats media propaganda. What defines a terroist anyway?Terrorism is the act of scaring people for a social or political reason using violence (or threat of violence). A person who uses terrorism is called a terrorist. Sometimes they do the things they say they will do, and sometimes they do not. Terrorists think that if others are afraid of them, they will have more power over other people. To me that sounds like israel. who has killed more civilians in this war? who are the chosen zionists? Israel is the terroist government. Yes hezbollah do have seats in government , i personally disagree with hezbollah and their actions. But ask yourself what choice Siniora now has? he is part of the pro western government ( the majority of the lebanese goverment are) But no support has been given to this pro western goverment by the west. America has had as little regard to civilian life as Israel. He has no choice now other than to back anyone who will give him support as the killing will not stop the lebanese people will be wiped out. If america had got off their backsides this would have never happened. They gave the west many opportunities.
26. #12 It wasnt a massacre, it was defense
RA   (07.30.06)
Hezbollah was using the civilian population as shields while they fired over 100 rockets at Israel in Qana. The civilians deserved what they got for not leaving, and for harboring terrorists. It wasnt a massacre as much as killing Nasrallah wont be a massacre. It is justice and self defense.
27. Eye-witness: heard TWO explosions
SECONDARY EXPLOSION ,   OF KATYUSHAS   (07.30.06)
The eye witness to the bombing in Qana said in the report transmitted by SKY News this evening that he "HEARD TWO EXPLOSIONS". That means there was a SECONDARY EXPLOSION of HIZBULLAH MUNITIONS stored at this house after the initial air strike.
28. TELAVIV, the next target?
Thomas Feldman ,   Miami   (07.30.06)
I heard that that Nasrallah have threatened TELAVIV. This crazy man usually act on his promises.
29. To 22 the liar
Shai ,   Israel   (07.30.06)
Lina, Lebanon has no reason to resist Israel. We pulled out of Lebanon 6 years ago and would not be there had Lebanon prevented the attacks on Israel from Lebanon. The truth is rather that Lebanon has been parcelled out by Iran and Syria, not Israel, and uses Hizbollah to "resist" Israel because of THEIR conflicts with Israel, not Lebanon's. Anyway, you obviously have no clue what "terrorist" means. Look it up, and don't throw words around carelessly. It clearly applies to non-governmental groups, not states. Hizbollah is not a state. It applies to those who target civilians. Hizbollah TARGETS CIVILIANS INTENTIONALLY. The purpose of doing this is, to be terrorism, is "to influence". Israel is a nation bound by the laws of war, within which it acts and I challenge you to prove it doesn't. It does NOT target civilians even though civilians are sometimes hurt, and I challenge you to prove that they are intentionally targeted. And Israel's sole purpose in Lebanon now is to enforce a United Nations Security Council Resolution, which under international law Lebanon is obligated to comply with, and I challenge you to prove any other reason. Your comments are just plain stupid.
30. sinora can have many more sacrifices to be thankful for
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (07.30.06)
if he is thankful for hizbullah's sacrifices, then let's have him be the most grateful man in the world and pile onto lebanon some more sacrifices, courtesy of the IDF. you're welcome!
