The Arabic language is a very rich language, and having an anti Arab translate text in an Arabic speaking newspapers does not give neither the writer nor the newspaper editors justice. I have been reading ynetnews.com for over two years now. I do that to learn how the other side thinks. From the readers’ posts, I happen to believe the majority of the readers whom post on ynet are racist; especially against Arabs and Muslims. I attribute the racism of the ynet community for the low response rate for this article. Cheers

There is absolutely nothing surprising in this. Beginning around the year 500 A.D, even pre-dating the advent of Islam, the arabs have been the principal slavers of black Africans. No one has enslaved sub-saharan africans more than the arabs of the Arabian Peninsula. It was not until aprox 1960 that Saudi Arabia "officially" ended the enslavement of blacks. In fact, no other people on the face of the earth has a greater disdain for black africans than the arabs. Let us note that the word for "black" in arabic is "ABD"--this is found in mant arabic names. It is also means "slave". In the arabic mind, the two are tightly linked.
