Are you aware that he's a Jew, or is that the standard way of justifying genocide?
92. Where's your evidence?
ChrisP ,   Australia   (08.10.06)
Thalamus, your statement is easily disproved. Chomsky has extensively documented the genocide of the KR. Hardly "praise and adulation". Perhaps you could cite some of the record of Chomsky's "praise and adulation" of the KR? Like most of the comments in this talkback, it is long on abuse, short on evidence.
93. Hateful attitude toward Noam
Leonie ,   Vancouver, Canada   (08.13.06)
If the US is supposed to be such a democracy, why is your type of comment so common? Why should someone leave the country just because they don't share the narrow viewpoint the the now minority of Americans espouse. I don't get it. In Canada, we are still allowed to believe whatever we want without being told to leave the country if we disagree with the Prime Minister. Just think back a few years to when the US wanted Nixon impeached. Were these folks being encouraged to leave the country? And if so, who would accept them? No one is paying Noam, who incidentally is a Jewish man himself to speak out against the unfairness that is being perpetrated by the Israelis against the Arab countries. This is certainly not to say that I'm an anti-Semite Or that I believe that Arab countries are being fair to Jews.
94. To "computer scientest" -- #47
Software Engineer ,   USA   (08.26.06)
>> "as a computer scientest I can tell you, without chomsky and his theories there would be no modern programming languages and no software" << Could you please elaborate: -- what particular Chomsky theories are so important and used in modern programming languages? -- could you provide some examples Are you saying: we wouldn't have computers without Chomsky? What particular field of Computer Science are you in?

US is such a democracy, exactly because what you just said: Anyone could express comments he/she wants. However, recommendation to "leave the country" comes someone to mind just because of such coinsidence: The same person disagrees with the common majority of the country he grew in and live in not just once, twice, but always for about 40 years in a row... I've managed to resolve that situation by moving from back then USSR to USA exactly because of such reason...
