4. Skeptical
I saw today in Iran Focus:
ran will supply Hezbollah with surface-to-air missile systems in the coming months, boosting the guerrillas' defences against Israeli aircraft, according to a report by specialist magazine Jane's Defence Weekly on Friday, citing unnamed Western diplomatic sources.
How will any sort of truce really change anything? It seems there is already an intent to rearm hezbollah even further. If hezbollah is not disarmed or better yet shipped back to iran, nothing will be solved. it will just be a continuous round of strife resulting in much more bloodshed.

5. Whee does France get the right to say anything?
France and the bunch of gutless people who live there are nothing more than cowards who curl under by the thought of terrorist attacks. They are Jew haters in every meaning of the word and have nothing to offer this world. Their cowardous acts have proven this time and time again. Zion, throw anything that France has to offer where it belongs...in the toilet. Now...America does stand against the violence that threatens you and we always will until it is removed from this planet!! Yet the work is not done yet. All those who cry for the civilians lost in Lebenon dont realize that the lives lost are the very same lives that say Israel must be removed from the face of the earth. Therefore it is mostly no loss to the world. And the children? Well they would be learning soon, if not already, to put on suicide bombs around their waste anyway. Their parents say it is good to die, so why would anyone say that it is terrible to lose them. They would have killed Jews that DO love life and want their children to grow old and love life. So dont sweat them. Keep up the good job you are doing Zion.

9. Remember Nasrallah's words about israel and the jews!
Nasrallah announced on October 22 2002 - "if the Jews all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide." The New York Times qualifies this as "genocidal thinking"
1992 - "It is an open war until the elimination of Israel and until the death of the last Jew on earth."
"The Jews are a cancer which is liable to spread again at any moment."
"There is no solution to the conflict in this region except with the disappearance of Israel."
When Israel ended its 18-year occupation of Lebanon in 2000, Nasrallah declared, "We have liberated the south. Next we'll liberate Jerusalem."
Nasrallah statement in 1992, "It is an open war until the elimination of Israel and until the death of the last Jew on earth."
In 2002, Sheik Nasrallah was quoted by the Lebanon Daily Star as encouraging Jews to move to Israel. "If they all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide."

12. Whee does France get the right to say anything?
Keith. Your spelling is as lousy as your logic. The US and Israel seem to know only one way to deal with disputes or disagreement; to beat the living daylights out of innocent people.
This is garbage. It has not worked for the US in Afghanistan, it has not worked for the US in Iraq - it will not work in Lebanon nor in Iran nor in Syria - because it is short-sighted and leads nowhere except to the cemetery.
If the Lebanese situation has nothing to merit France's participation as a mediator, then it has even less to justify US military participation from thousands of miles away.
You live in NY. How would you feel about an army of 100000 Arabs turning up to liberate you from your government with tanks and bombs? The US military has no more business meddling and killing in the Middle East than an Arab army would have on American soil - and is just as welcome.

14. To #3
I do not know what country you are from, but apparently one with a very poor educational system. While this war has been a tragedy, Israel had no choice but to confront the Hizbullah terrorists who have no purpose in life except to cause chaos and destruction. I mourn for the young Jews who gave their lives for their country and who have been denied a productive future. I also mourn for the Lebanese civilians who have been put in the middle of the battle by a cowardly and destructive Islamic movement. This worldwide war will not end until Islam awakens to the 21st century, instead of trying to pull the world back to the 14th century.

15. Will Hizballah agree?
Will Israel agree? Both parties must agree. Hizballah does not want to disarm and Israel wants to destroy all rockets. This will bring on fierce fighting. Fierce fighting may delay a cease fire.

16. Tony, check this out
I miss one "r" and you critisize me? I did have Arabs invade my back yard you asshole. Have you forgotten 9/11? It is the mentality of muslim arabs that are causing this turmoil not Israel. Zion has tried over and over to exist in this world and it is mindless fools like yourself that are blinded by news media and its likes to know the truth. This is a holy war and Islam believs full circle and guess what? You are in their sites as well. So, until you get your thinking cap on straight leave the thinking up to those who are suffering this threat and do see it for what it is.

18. PEACE IN OUR TIME?? DONT THINK SO
This resolution is a non-starter for Israel, surely. It is the lowest point the UN has ever reached, as the resolution de facto provides international legitimacy to a terrorist group as part of a ceasefire. Hizbollah is not a nation state and has no membership of the UN - it is a disgrace that the UN provide it with the same protection and legitimacy as a mamber nation state, especially the Middle East's only democracy.
If Israel goes with this UN resolution, it will effectively be permitting HIzbollah to regroup and rearm - and again letting Syria and Iran off the hook. Just as Israel is turning the corner and within sight of wiping out Hizbollah, the 'international community' comes into help the terror group.
A false peace is not worth the paper it is written on. Let's hope that Israel fights for its survival and does not again trust the UN with its border security.

20. Jews are the cause of all wars
It looks like everyting confirms that jews are the be blamed for all the cause of harm, terror and wars. Throughout history, you'll see jews being killed and for a reason. Jesus knew about them but was too weak to confront them. Jews murdered him as they murder thousands of Palestinians and Lebanese. A new Hitler will rise one day and that time a good execution of the final solution will be achieved. Israel will be wiped out sooner or later.

23. U.S. WANTS AGGRESSOR LEBANON REWARDED WITH JEWISH LAND
In the world war fought for Islamic subjugation of all nations, Islamists know when they attack Israel, the U.S. will pressure tiny Israel to give Jewish land to terrorists.
THERE IS NO WAR ON TERROR!
The U.S. is repeating their pattern of exerting relentless pressure on Israel to give away Jewish land vital to Israel's defense to Israel's implacable enemies.
The U.S. EU UN Russia Road Map goal of a global Islamic terror state on Jewish land is an indefensible 6-10 miles wide Israel enabling a second Holocaust of Jews.

Exclusive: US calls for Mount Dov talks
By HERB KEINON
The US is "counseling" Israel to negotiate a possible withdrawal from the Mount Dov (Shaba Farms) area with Lebanon as part of a long-term arrangement for Lebanon, The Jerusalem Post has learned.
This issue was one of the focuses of US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's talks in Jerusalem Tuesday with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert...
For the Lebanese, a victory could be an Israeli withdrawal from Mount Dov, and a massive international aid package...
The area is a 100 square mile parcel of land located at the foot of Mount Hermon where the Syrian, Lebanese and Israeli borders meet. Israel took control of the area after the Six Day War in 1967, and since then has built up a number of military outposts on the strategic hills.

26. blissfully ignorant
Israel is only useing 5% of its military air power. No doubt it can use 100% of its airpower to level the cities to dirt if it wanted to.(this isint against the lebanese people-and its unfortunate that hezbolla hides among women and children and fires there missles from there backyards-makeing civilian casualties higher ) It also can send in 50 ,000 troups and sweep the land-Although this would come at a high cost- Israel can win this that way. But its the world view
9mostly arab) and opinion that makes the israelis fight in a manner that will not allow them to totally win the war. In war you fight to win at all cost-Reguardless of world opinion-That is how the united states won against japan-it was willing to win at all cost and used the nucular option-without giving a crap what others think!! This saved an estimated 500,000 lives from a protracted war.
Think about it-Israel has had nucular weapons since 1947 and has never threatend its neighbors with useing the weapon or even acknowledged they have them.
I guarantee you if syria or iran had nucular weapons -they would use them against israel in a heartbeat.
Remember my friend-if israel is being threatnes with extiction-it has the capability and the will to eliminate that threat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
