A story yesterday said France was willing to contribute no more than 5,000 troops, looking for other countries to make up the rest of the 15,000 internationals. This story says France will now contribute 10,000. Are we to presume that there was so little willingness to supply troops that France had to double its contingent? That looks like failure.
