31. sam shah rules
joe   (08.11.06)
rule 1: so, hizbollah attacked first; check rule 2: hizbollah randomly aims rockets at israel, kills many randomly including israeli arabs and jews. check. rule 3: if israel intended on solely killing arab civilians, there would be at least 10,000 dead by now. therefore, this is technically collateral damage. check. rule 4: um, so what happens when arabs kill too many civilians. oh wait, thats the whole point, to kill civilians. check. rule 5: kidnapping bad. check. rule 6: lebanese prisoners...like sami kuntar who burst into a home and killed a few children and their dad INTENTIONALLY? yeah that guy should not have been kidnapped. he should have been torn into pieces by a bunch of dogs. so i'll give you no. 6, they shouldn't be held without trial. rule 7: so, yes they are supported by iran and syria. no big surprise. iran certainly led by an evil man who will in 20 years be compared with hitler (or so he hopes). check rule 8: 'equal conflict'. what the hell does that mean? that is the demented part of your statement. so its ok if its equal but not ok if its not equal? maybe it should be ok if one side is defending itself but not ok if the other side openly wants to commit genocide (aka nasrallah and hezbollah). i am american and proud to support israel. check rule 9: uh, israel withdrew from lebanon, withdrew from gaza, and was about to withdraw from west bank. mention occupied territories all you want, because its beginning to smell like what you really want is the occupied territory of tel aviv. check rule 10: israelis speak better english than arabs. arabs make fake photographs better than jews. that is is called 'arab neutral journalism'. check. rule 11: there are no rules. by the way, the iranians are laughing at the arabs whose countries they are starting to run (ie lebanon and syria first...). check.
32. Nasrallah's "victory" a pathetic joke
Funkmaster Chris ,   New York City   (08.11.06)
Nasrallah will claim he's victorious if Israel walks away. Gee, really? Because of this little misadventure that HEZBOLLAH STARTED, their ranks have been seriously decimated, their offices and missile storage facilities (translation: homes and villages) flattened, and the country they live in pretty much blasted halfway back to the stone age. Do you really think this bloodthirsty subhuman wants more "victories" like this? Fine. Israel is ready and willing to deal him as may "victories" as he wants until he's victoriously buried under tons of smoking rubble.
33. Reasonable deal
Jeremiah ,   USA   (08.11.06)
It's a reasonable deal. Anyone expecting Hezbollah to disarm is being totally unrealistic.
34. #9
Mizgav Am, Israel   (08.11.06)
thank you for introducing me to such an enlightening website. the rabbi put my inner fealings into words i couldn't explain myself.
35. #10 political correctness
Roberto ,   New york,NY   (08.11.06)
I disagree with the word "terrorist organization".Terrorism is a strategy,a method of violence through collective fear used to reach a certain political goal. The present war should not be on "terrorism",but on Radical Islam(not on the "moderate Muslims",who do not open their mouth for known reasons, they do not want to end up like Van Gogh). Therefore, here goes the "political correctness" when talking about Islam against itself and the rest of the world conflict: 1: Islam is a religion of peace. 2:Drawing the picture of Muhammad is sacrilege, apostasy, except when done by Muslims in the past (oops). 3:Islam does not supercede other religions. 4:Palestinians do not have another state, besides Jordan, because of the Jews 5:Hamas,Hizzbullah are only resistance organizations, not another front to spread Islam by violence to Islamic and non Islamic societies. 6:Muslims in Europe are poor because they are discriminated(their quality of life is much better then in other islamic countries and they have freedom of speech, just a detail). 7:Mosques are centers for prayers, learning about islam and peace, not center for incitement to violence. 8:Islamic leaders tell the West (in broken English)exactly what they tell their constituency in Arabic(Muslims never use double talk) 9:Jews are ungrateful to Muslims, they were very well treated as dhimmis.Because of their sleezy and arrogant character, 1 million Jews were expelled from Arab countries. 10:Jews are responsible for the million of Muslims killed by other Muslims in Algeria,Yemen,Iraq,Iran,Sudan,Mauritania,Syria,Lebanon,Turkey,Gaza,Judea,Samaria,Egypt(there is more to the list but I am tired). 11:islam accepts freedom of speech, just with a few restrictions. 12:Women are treated as equal in islamic societies. I have other pearls about the subject, but the conclusion is that if only Israel (and hopefully all jews) disappear, there will be peace on earth.
36. Oh please!
Robert Tilden ,   Sherdan, WY   (08.11.06)
To all you who arnt in Israel but preach for a hard line Israel should take- take a good look. If the peace deal doesnt work, Israel can always go back in north. I realy don't think most Lebanese are stupid enough to pick a fight with Israel again. If the UN is there with those numbers it better bring results. I don't think the French want the IAF to bomb thier own troops like UNIFL got treated. As to Rose in Bahrain, maybe Israel does listen to the USA, but it goes the other way around as well. This might be strange to you Arabs who claim to be alies with each other but attack each other all the same. Also, If the USA demanded somthing of you in Bahrain, I am sure you would comply. Bush has demanded nothing of Israel yet. This is what drives you arabs crazy, You think Israel controls the USA. And for Franck, from France, How do you back up this claim? It seems to me France has no policy of its own. On Saturday you agree for one resolution and a day later you dont have the back bone to stick with it. Just bend your French ass and let the Arab league ram into it. Don't mistake this as care though, all France wants is to be in the spotlight. Thats why no one gives France any respect.
37. to Sam Shah, you little idiot I will counter you one for one
Robert Tilden ,   Sheridan, WY   (08.11.06)
You lack any honesty at all, I will prove it to you, if your honest enough to counter do, but back your arguements with facts! #1: fact in July 12 it was Hizbollah who attacked Israel with katyushas all over the border killed 8 and kidnapped 2. you may call that what you may, this is an attack. If Hizbollah didnt think Israel would react that is its misjudgment- dont blame it on Israel. #2: Israel is responsible for the safty of its own citizens, not of Lebanese or Palestinians, Israel left Lebanon, Israel left Gaza, if the Arabs insist on killing Israelis it IS terrorism. Lebanon and Arafat had plenty of chances to make deals with Israel and reject them. Israel has a peacefull record with both Jordan and Egypt, and, oddly enough witnh Syria. #3: Israel kills civilians as collateral damage, the Katyushas, Kasams or bombings are aimed at civilians. if you dont see the difference then you are lacking in the head. #4: yes, when Israel is attacked on the other hand, Koffi Annan stays quite, and your point is? #5: When Israel arrests anyone the Red Cross can visit them, everyone knows they are safe in Israeli custody, When Palestinians or Lebanese get a hold of an Israeli they vanish like Ron Arad, or get lynched like the two reservists in 2000 in Nablus. So much for Geneva conventions in #9. #6 The people arrested by Israel are tried and serve time, released when their time is do. Just like any place else. #7, #8: Hizbollah is not a state, they done get finincing from taxation. Israel is an indipendent country that has bi-lateral trade, collects taxes etc. It has a population of over six million. Hizbollah's population are: zero, their diplomatic assets: zero, it is not a country. It can not be compared with a nation state. #9: I already debunked your Geneva convention falacy. The term 'Occupied territories' is often liked to Israel. Occupied from who? From a British Mandate? In 1948 it was the Arabs who did not erect an arab state on their lands. in 2000 it was Arafat who rejected a deal, even since 2005 they insist on waging war instead of building up a country of their own in Gaza. Go on and blame the victimes. The UN resolutions do not call on Israel to unilaterally leave all the territories it gained in 67'. It calls for a 'land for peace deal. This is rejected by Hamas and by Hizbollah and de facto by the PLO. #10: Saib Arikat or the PM of Lebanon speak bad English I suppose. and the point is? #11: If you support Islamo-Faciests like Hamas or Hizbollah then I hope you die. If you support them so much- go back and live in Iran or Sudan where life is so good. Leave your wonderful life in Oxford and go back to your lovly Islmaic Umma.
38. It is a war on ISRAEL UN WAS and IS on the side of TERROR
Nebojsa Yitzchak M ,   Toronto   (08.11.06)
FIFTH COLUMN is making it inevetable. UN was there before conflict started for at last 40 years; did UN ever assisted or defended Jews in any shape, or was there ONLY TO SHIELD terrorists on ongoing terrorising and killings of the JEWS. French are on whose side...?? Once again? It is a war against the Israel all those "international" HisBULLahhh reinforcements are nothing else but bunch of shameless Muslim hired mercenaries a Muslim expeditionary forces of the "New World Order" that is to put the Jews on their "ROAD MAP" once for all.. Then that is what is Armagedon all about .. UN waging war agains the Israel ..well OLMERT AND the REST OF THE PERESITES PRIESTS OF DOOM made it possible. they are making Israel as an ultimate sacrifice to their masters.. I guess that perhaps only in Israel a being KAPO means perhaps that one is shall we say.. is being political savy? It is not wheter it is expected for country to DEFEND ITS CITIZENS it is act of treason for one who is preventing it.
39. What is this sound, the bleating of sheep?
Meirav ,   USA   (08.11.06)
40. Olmert = Chamberlain
Meirav ,   USA   (08.11.06)
41. What does this sound mean, the bleating of sheep?
Meirav ,   USA   (08.11.06)
When the son of Amalek is allowed to live, can Haman be far behind?
42. It must be the end of Hezbollah terrorists Group
e.m ,   s.f   (08.11.06)
Israel should not accept any ceasefire until the end of this Iranian terrorists group organization, otherwise like i have said it was a Israel which wanted to build up Hezbollah hero in Islamic nations. Let waite and see what will happen in few days.
43. RESIGN NOW OLMERT
Jerry ,   NYC, USA   (08.11.06)
You piece of garbage, you allowed Hizbullah to win the war. Resign now, and let a government that knows how to fight and win wars take over.
44. IMPEACHMENT!
Winston ,   miami. fl   (08.11.06)
Olmert and his cabinet has disgraced not only himself but the entire country of Israel, but has cynicaly spilled the blood of not only the brave and dedicated Israelis but jews from the far cornors of the wold who came to stand and ultimatly die as soldiers fighting for the lifeblood of Israel Nothing less than his impeachment and the removal of his obscene and disgusting cabinet, totally incompetent, amoral and even traitorous leadership which has casually initiated, allowed, abetted and countenced, and grossly violated their responsibilities. THIS MAN IS A DISGRACE TO THE HUMAN RACE AND THE BLOOD OF YOU. THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL IS ON HIS HANDS
45. Very dissappointed
steve ,   us   (08.11.06)
I am very dissappointed that Olmert is going along with this. An arms embargo will not work. Period. Since they cannot disarm Hezbollah, any arms that get through they get to keep. At best, they can make arms a little more expensive, but I doubt even that will happen. BTW, Mr. Shah, accusing Jews of killing gentile children to make matzoh from their blood is anti-semitism. By any reasonable standard, Hezbollah is deeply anti-semtic.
46. Israeli's MUSR READ
Pimp ,   Daddy   (08.11.06)
Listen to a fellow Israeli: NOW do you see why it's important to have ex military generals as P.M. and Defence Ministers???? Do you really think French and Lebanese troops will fight Hisballah like our boys are doing now? Face the facts: 1) Hisballah has defeted our army. It could fight longer than we could...then we did!!! 2) Hisballah will NEVER "disarm" willingly. They will HAVE to be forced to it. 3) Who's gonna force them??? The French and Lebanese troops + the U.N. sure as hell will never do it. They aren't strong enough, and they will NEVER die for us. They'll NEVER be able to live with the amount of casualties that would entail. Their populations will NEVER agree to the loss of their men, and heavy losses are almost certain against Hisballah 4) Ehud Olmert, unfortunately, is a complete miserable failure. Being a leader demands taking very difficult decisions, and at times the consequences are unknown. Yes, you might hurt you popularity Sir. He made WRONG decisions, and the buck stops with him. His lack of decisiveness, fear of world openion has cost us dearly. 5) Olmert, Peretz, and Dan Halutz are not men enough to be in those positions, and MUST quit ASAP!!!! And the move to blame Udi Adam...that was low 6) Hisballah will only re-arm itself with better and bigger bonbs to throw on us...
47. Olmert wimps out
Michael ,   USA   (08.11.06)
No guts, no glory. You can't win if you don't fight. Over a hundred Israelis died for nothing. After Hezbollah is resupplied the war will start again.
48. Olmert should be fired
Richard ,   USA   (08.11.06)
The weakness and indecision of Olmert and his cabinate are a disgrace. Hezbulah did not win, Israel lost by refusing to defend itself. The Jews should relocate to other countries or else vote in a real leadership, such as BiBi can provide. This is Israel's saddest hour thanks to Olmert's craven nature and ineptitude.
49. The best article ever
Wise Man ,   USA   (08.11.06)
Every Israeli and lebanease please read this http://web.israelinsider.com/views/9132.htm
50. neville olmert has bloody hands
Navone2 ,   NY USA   (08.11.06)
waiting for diplomacy to work.....on the blood of the northerners ? for shame !
51. #9 how cheeky can one get???!!
Mike ,   Canada   (08.11.06)
The orthodox will have the right for an opinion which sends soldiers to the battle field, only when they start serving in the army themselves.... So far, its not the case. Moreover - if I'm not mistaken you guys are anti-zionists, are you not? and maybe, whatever failure there was...came about because the Haredim were too sinnful, or just didn't pray hard enough...
52. To No. 10
H.N. ,   Lebanon   (08.11.06)

55. Latest ceasefire proposal
DANIEL ,   Lod, Israel   (08.11.06)
Waste of lost of lives, waste of kidnapped solders, Israel loosing on all fronts. Don't do this to us.
56. Olmert Has A Memory Like A Sieve.
H ,   Jerusalem   (08.11.06)
Why did he go into war if he can't keep his promise? What will happen to the kidnapped soldiers for which the fighting started? If Hizballah/Iran will not return them, will Israel restart the war and now against the additional thousands of European troops in order to get the kidnapped soldiers back? This might end up an international war against Israel - WWIII.
57. #11
nul ,   Israel   (08.11.06)
Don't know about the US but that 's definitely right about France.
58. STUPID! WHY GO TO WAR AT ALL!!??
Ertok   (08.11.06)
This will go down as a HUGE mistake by Israel. Hezbollah must be REALLY HAPPY.
59. SHUT UP GRANDPA - YOU GOT WHAT YOU WANTED!
Ertok   (08.11.06)
You stupid old idiot!
60. FRANCE HAS FAILED ALREADY
Arik Silverman ,   Milwaukee USA   (08.11.06)
A story yesterday said France was willing to contribute no more than 5,000 troops, looking for other countries to make up the rest of the 15,000 internationals. This story says France will now contribute 10,000. Are we to presume that there was so little willingness to supply troops that France had to double its contingent? That looks like failure.
