3. What about kidnapped soldiers?
We hear so much about Chapter 6 and Chapter 7, about the UNIFIL, 15,000 or 20,000 Turkish tropps, BUT WHAT ABOUT EHUD GOLDWASSER & ELDAD REGEV??
No soldiers, no deal!!!
We must remeber that we have another soldier in Gaza. If a ceasefire in Lebanon does not deal with the soldier, there is no way to free GILAD SHALIT without capitulating to Hamas.

4. It's a DISASTER for Israel
Olmert & Peretz have brought a strategic catastrophe upon Israel.
NOT A SINGLE announced objective has been obtained, Hezb will not be disarmed, and Israel looks weak.
This Leftiest goverment from Hell must be THROWN OUT as soon as possible. Hopefully, it is not to late for the country.

6. This whloe 'wide operation' seems like a bluff
Going north to the Litani river will expose IDF to great number of casualties, abuot 300 according to IDF estimate. Achievements on the other hand are much less certain. So I have a feeling that Olmert prays for a UN stop sign that will make him leave Lebanon. He just can't go back and admit his mistakes, so he gambles. Gambles on the lives of our soldiers.

7. UN resolution
Return soldiers first (are they forgotten already?), disarm Hizbulla (as UN requested in the past and as Olmert stated to be the goal of this war), and then we may talk about seasing hostilities.
Olmert is already out. Next elections this fall.

8. What peace, exactly?
http://asharq-e.com/news.asp?section=1&id=5950
"A source connected with Hezbollah stated to that "the deliberate showing of that verse on Hezbollah's flag could mean preparation for or paving the way for the declaration of holy jihad against the Israelis. That (holy jihad) is usually declared by the al-waliy al-faqih (the ruling jurisconsult; the jurisconsult charged with authority) who in Hezbollah's view is at present (the Supreme Guide of the Iranian revolution) Imam (Ali) Khamenei who sometime ago had expressed his dissatisfaction at the silence of the Muslim World on what is taking place in Lebanon."

9. No UN resolution will work!
I will say it again...No resolution from any Non-Islamist organization will work because Radicals will never eccept it. They will never stop their killing because of the preaching that is being said in their Mosques. I have heard and seen it with my own eyes. Radicals will not stop until either World domination of their religion or those who do not follow it are killed. This is not from my mouth but their clerics mouths. So... Israel as well as the US must continue this "Holy War" until we either annihalate them or they end their Jihad. To those who keep lashing out at President Bush as some kind of Imperialist ask this one question...If he went to conquer Iraq for the oil there, how come the price of a gallon of gas has done nothing but rise alomost 50% since we entered Iraq. If you still think that is why, then you are only fooling yourselves. A healthy government ran by its own people without the threat of being tortured by their leader and the removal of any threat from their to America and Israel is all we want their...not their oil. Don't think for one second that there was no WMD's in Iraq. They are all safe sitting in a Syrian bunker waiting for the chance to be used on Israel. In conclusion...Israel must push on until Hezbullah is removed from the north. Then and only then can Israel be safe from the north. My love to Gods chosen people.

15. meaningless
all this stupid war had no meaning whatsoever, it started wrong, and the wrong decisions were being taken day after day until today where we see that a resolution will be issued and everyone agrees on it. so, why did all this death and destruction? do you have any answer Olmert? did you stand for any of your promises? tell us, why should you stay as a PM, and you did in few months in the office what no one did in 58 years.
a court will be fiar for you, cause you have to pay a price for puting all the people at risk, and for causing all this death. so, in the future, whoever sit in your chair will think very carefully before going in such stupid journey.

20. #3 - perspective is necessary here
We can expect at least 25 soldiers to die every day if the advance towards the Litani continues. I care about the 25 and I care about the hostages.
But, if one compares it to the survival of Israel then there is no choice - the survival of the county and its population comes first.
People will die but not as lambs as in WW2 and Israel will perhaps demonstrate to Europe that if they don’t use the same resolve that within 25-30 years, that they will be Islamic nations governed by Sharia.
In the hope that we win; that we get our hostages back; and that Iran’s cult will be delayed.

22. Nasrallah is right, ISRAEL is defeted
LOL...funny, at the beggining of the conflict, israel was raving that they want to kick hizbula a**, I thought for a minute there Huzbula was gooone.Look at it now, Israel demands is down to its basics, same as before war started, with no hopes it wil be accomplished, the US is secretly contacting seryia in hopes that Hizbula will accept the Un resolution and save Olmerts Face...how bathatic, your only accomplishment was the massacures commited by the IDF in qana and other areas, which prove once and for all, your IDF is nothing more than a cawardless mechine that only can kill woman and children , Palestinians were always right in that regard...

If Israel does not destroy the strategic threat of Hezbollah now it will never be able to do so later To accept this cease fire is a disaster for the future of Yisrael I am dismayed by the terrible position Israel is putting itself in. DEFEAT HEZBOLLAH NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. IRAN IS WAITING IN THE WINGS TO DESTROY US. STOP THIS CHARADE AND LET THE IDF WIN THIS WAR FOR ISRAEL'S EXISTENCE

25. Enough !
Enough - enough killing from both sides.
Peace must prevail.
Stop the hatred.
I condemn both sides because what is happening is not reasonable.
Israeli destruction and killing will only create more terrorism in this so-called middle east
And of course hizbulla holind arms will keep this cycle of violence
Do you want to live in peace or keep killing people and living underground !!!!!

26. UN
Yeah, this worked real good in 2000. The UN "Peace Keepers" stood around for six years in Lebanon and watched the Hesbullies build bunkers under schools and hospitals until they were strong enough to take on Israel.
UNIFIL was a failure. This will be too. Unless you are a Hesbully, then it is victory.
Sorry Israel. This fight will have to wait for another day. The day Hizbullah is strong and rearmed.
You can't fight a war and watch the press and polls at the same time. We tried that with Iraq. It doesn't work.

You must be a french canadian becaus most canadians do have some sort of grip of reality. You DO NOT!! The crap that you have posted on this site has been beyond any sense of what is really happening. Just to help you a little, of course you probebly wont understand, Omert didn't star anything. Hezbullah launched the first rocket into Israel and Hezbullah was the one who kidnapped the two soldiers. So once again, Take your foolish comments and go away!! You are received as an ignorant fool in the eyes of most who write hear.
