As a former US helicopter pilot in Afghanistan, I know that the first and most important objective is to drop the troops in the combat zone, which the IDF helicopter pilots managed to do. Although the helicopter was shot down, they completed their main objective, which is the most important thing.

When does this madness ends? I thought the war is over.

Is it that hard to assume the truth? You want to be part of a war and believe that your IDF soldiers would not be hurt. You are trying to make things so complicated just to avoid the facts and the reality. Keep it simple, assume the truth! War is not a game and cannot be experienced just by watching it on TV, we lived it, we knew it and we understand it and most important we assume its consequences. (I am not saying it is nice) Even " overwhelming force "could not have changed a thing, this is War Marcel, people die, the more it lasts the more will die. Do not think that this started with the kidnapping of the IDF soldiers, this was planned by the Israeli government since 2004, there waiting for any small incident to make up a reason and start this war, but they have misjudged there enemy, have committed war crimes against innocent civilians and killed more than 400 children.
