1. Why wait until today to post this?
Ibrahim ,   S. Arabia   (08.15.06)
Mr. Lappin, your article makes a valid point about CNN's anti-Israel bias. Can you explain why it took you one month to make it????
2. CNN is biased
Steven ,   San Francisco, USA   (08.15.06)
I was watching CNN this morning and noticed not only what is conveyed in the text of this article, but I also noticed that the reports were openly contentious, if not hostile, to Israeli representatives, while all the while, shooting footage from Lebanon. You have to wonder, who are the people allowing CNN to shoot there anyway. And what limits does CNN have because of it. I can only watch FOX News on this subject. Otherwise, I will kick a hole in my TV, and I don't feel like doing that jsut because of a bunch of hateful, ignorant idiots.
3. just check out the local news
Al ,   Salt Lake City   (08.15.06)
Sex, scandals, blood and destruction is what sells. Maybe there just wasn't enough in Israel as compared to Lebanon??? It's sad any way you look at it.
4. THIS IS STUPID AND FALSE !!!
Ryan ,   Chicago, USA   (08.15.06)
Now ynetnews is going to start talking about being biased, ha !!! You have been biased throughout the coverage of the war and never gave balanced reports. You ignored the Lebanese civilans and always concentrated your reports about the IOF (Israeli Occupation Forces) and the Katyusha's falling on Israeli cities. I don't know which CNN this author is talking about, but from what I have seen Anderson Cooper, John Roperts, Wolf Blitzer, and most of the high ranked reporters were either in Israel, enbedded with the Israeli soldiers, or giving reports from Israeli cities. They were all apparently biased for Israel. Anderson Cooper was in Beirut for a few days and that was it. You should wake up and stop you lying machine ynetnews !!!
5. where's the bias?
NYer ,   NY, USA   (08.15.06)
sounds like an accurate, proportionate coverage of what actually happened.
6. the israeli press is just like CNN!
naro ,   nyc   (08.15.06)
7. CNN owned by saudis
Arie ,   Afula   (08.15.06)
CNN's parent company has a considerable share owned by the saudi royal family. There is no way that their mercenaries, even Wolfe Blitzer would bite the hand that owns them.
8. israelis = always world champions in groans
daniel ,   NY   (08.15.06)
9. oh well, at least that's the only western media
Libneniyye ,   Lebnen   (08.15.06)
showing our point of u, although i don't think it was fair to that point
10. BBC also biased
KMR ,   Middle East   (08.15.06)
BBC also aired biased views. It appeared all reporters in Lebanon were under threat from Hezbollah or supportive of Hezbollah.
11. CNN is less biased than it used to be...
Flavio ,   Sao Paulo, Brazil   (08.15.06)
...folks like Wolf Blitzer help to keep a minimum balance, but that British-accented (very heavy accent, by the way) guy transmitting from Southern Lebanon is by far the most biased, anti-Israel of them all, Ms Amanpour included... PS: CNN's still lightyears better than BBC when it comes to anti-Israel bias!
12. #4 RYAN: YOU'RE AN IDIOT
Scott   (08.15.06)
Even blind Freddie can see that most of the media coverage foucussed MOSTLY on Lebanese "civilians".
13. #8 Yeah.. And your Pals do the best WAHH!!!WAHH!
Da Sphincter ,   NOT from Iran/ Syria   (08.15.06)
WAH!!! WAH!! WAH! "CIVILIAN, CIVILIAN!"
14. #4 & 8 Suppose you enjoyed the staged photos?
Scott   (08.15.06)
Yes, CNN were not responsible for the images that we KNOW about. But in my opinion ( which is as good as yours) CNN, is only bettered in the bias department by the BBC. They are a truly shameless outfit.
15. CNN's biased? YES, I have known that for 20 years!!!!!!!!!!
Mark ,   Perkasie, PA USA   (08.15.06)
Thank G-d for the Internet! If you agree about CNN, then please recommend my comment. Thanks.
16. One of many reasons to use the internet
Ned Farmer ,   Ft Smith Arkansas US   (08.15.06)
I stopped watching TV news in 2000. We have the Internet, and its reach is global. It's easier to sort out facts when you have a lot of sources rather than being fed only one "fact" from PBS, CBS, CNN, ABC, NBC, UPN, ETC. #3 ... I stopped watching LOCAL NEWS in the 90s because I was tired of the Fort Smith TV Stations talking about themselves (newscasters' mutual admiration society), the phoney severe weather warnings - right only 3% of the time!!! AND the ambulance chasing to show INJURED PEOPLE AND DEAD BODIES on ch. 5, 24 and 40 !!!
17. Maybe it was part of a failed plan , just like the war!
Ibrahim ,   USA   (08.15.06)
18. FOXNEWS
Harry ,   Tel-aviv, Israel   (08.15.06)
That's why I watch FOXNEWS!
19. CNN LIES
ISAAC RUBIN ,   MOSHAV LIVNIM ISRAE   (08.15.06)
CNN CARRY ON THE GOOD WORK. LET THE MOSLEM AND ARAB WORLD KNOW THAT ISRAEL FIGHTS HARD AND IF THEY DON'T WANT TO SEE A REPEAT OF THOSE PICTURES THEN KEEP TO THEIR SIDE OF THE BORDER. NOW OUR NEIGHBOURS KNOW THE PRICE OF NASRALLAS SO CALLED VICTORY. I HOPE THE MESSAGE SANK IN.
20. Pathetic! Shame on CNN!
(08.15.06)
21. Response to "Ryan"
US Observer ,   Michigan   (08.15.06)
"Ryan," like too many Arabs you magnify the shortcomings of others even while you are completely blind to your own faults. CNN claims to be objective and clearly isn't. You ridiculously blame Ynet for not being objective. Since when are the media in a country in a war for its life supposed to give equal time to its self-declared enemies, who started that war? Are Arab media fair to Israel?
22. Welcome to our world
Susan ,   WashingtonDC/USA   (08.15.06)
We've been fighting the media on the war in Iraq - never publishing the good that has been happening over there -hospitals and schools that have been rebuilt, rights for women, voting, etc. The media is part of the problem.
23. NY #5
L Reik ,   Tel Aviv Israel   (08.15.06)
It's not accurate in that it ignores the Israelis suffering...why are there no pictures of the hundreds of thousands of Israelis who had to flee their homes for a month? Or the 4000 rockets that were fired upon Israel over the month; where are the interviews with the ordinary people in Israel -like CNN runs on the Lebanese side...in short where are the facts, CNN??
24. BOICOTT CNN!!
nathalie ,   France   (08.15.06)
shame on you cnn! that's why things are how they are, because instead of informing, medias are biaised and inform only what they want. Boicott medias that don't inform accurately and create hate like CNN!
25. CNN Propaganda...Jews Suffer Too
ricardo   (08.15.06)
They put us in Ovens...So why does CNN need to show anything about Lebanon
26. #1
sami ,   Beirut   (08.15.06)
you really think it's a valid point? it's the effect of watching israeli media, and when he saw the real image on intl channels he thought it was biased! weirdo
27. entertainment
noemĂ ,   madrid   (08.15.06)
The news are more than ever consider another entertainment show today. this is the concept that is behind most of the news. hezbollá knows this and give them what they need. the public should understand that this is not the truth and the reality anymore. Everithing is fisctionalized, even the news.
28. CNN
Dr John Maxwell ,   Rechovot Israel   (08.15.06)
What do you expect from those "slime-balls" at CNN. They are Totally anti-Israel, virulently antisemetic & funded by A r a b s!!
29. BBC is much worse
(08.15.06)
