1. Sad to Watch
It's sad to watch a country that had100s of thousands of brave chalutzim fight all odds to survive and buid a beautiful country. But somehow their kids got fat on the land or drank too much cafe hafooch that turned their minds to wabbling jello.
How on earth, after what Olmert did, are people sitting in their living rooms watching cartoons instead of jumping into cars and busses and surrounding the Knesset demanding Olmert's head.
Maybe Israel isn't a democracy after all. Just a country with loud mouths who bluster in the press and on TV.
This is sad to watch. And the whole world, especially her enemies are paying close attention and taking cues as Israel's myths tumble one at a time.

3. Bibi for PM
I just read an excellant article by Caroline Glick of the Jerusalem Post. (if you're wondering, I come here 99.9%of the time.) She calls for the Olmert gov. to go as soon as elections can be held as allowed by law. So this is the question: how soon could elections take place? If I was an Isreali I'd vote for Bibi.

4. Olmert is an excellent orator?
Kadmon says, "Olmert is an excellent orator. He combines a measured dose of emotion and rationalism with poetic anecdotes and matter-of-factness."
I can't read a word of Hebrew, so I can't comment directly. But, judging from his written and translated speeches, Olmert couldn't out-orate the local dog catcher (and he is definitely less useful to society).
Anyway, if Olmert is such an excellent orator, how come he was so extremely unpopular before Sharon, in his dotage, foolishly elevated him to the top of the Kadima list?
Is Kadmon angling for a job?

5. Bibi
Bibi gave a lame speech because....what most people dont realise he is EXACTLY the same as all the others, no different. Same as Olmert, Peretz etc. etc. He is just as much an appeaser just sweetly sugar coated. He is excellent as Foreign minister giving hasbara but never rely on him for the hard decisions as a PM, he is incapable of making them. He has no firm ideology or principles, he too gave up lands and would do the same as olmert. He is more concerned of covering his own butt and what others say of him he bends to no matter which way the wind turns too. A seasoned politician but no saviour of Israel. Remember that.

THE ELDERLY SENIORS, WOMEN, CHILDREN WERE THEIR TARGETS. THESE PEOPLE WERE LEFT HOMELESS, INJURED OR WORSE. DID YOUR PHOTOGRAPHERS LOSE THEIR CAMERAS? OBVIOUSLY THEIR CAMERAS JUST SEEM TO BE OPERATIVE IN SOUTHERN LEBANON.......... SHAME ON YOU! WITH YOUR ASSISTANCE WE MAY POSSIBLY ENCOURAGE ANOTHER TERRORIST ATTACK IF NOT IN ISRAEL, PERHAPS THE UK OR THE USA. SHAME ON YOU!

i dont understand Israel makes no sense to let hezbollah stand with all its weapons and not even get your kidnapped soldiers BACK?

10. No, Bibi isn't right; you need fresh blood, fresh ideas.
You voted Bibi out for a reason; why do you forget so soon.
Yes, he is better than Olmert, but than it isn't all that difficult. I'm sure there are better people in israel, more idealistic, more determined and believing in victory.

11. Too bad Bibi didn't call for Olmert's resignation
There is a petition circulating calling for Olmert's resignation. It states:
We, the undersigned, citizens of the State of Israel, from all political affiliations, call upon the government of Israel headed by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, to resign.
We assert that the government's handling of the conflict with the Hizbollah was rife with severe flaws, on the levels of strategic forethought, the management of the military operations, the handling of diplomacy, and regarding the care for the targeted citizenry in northern Israel.
These flaws have incurably damaged the public's faith in the government, and oblige the government to resign.
We call upon the government to resign at the first possible opportunity that will not endanger the soldiers of the IDF still on Lebanese soil.
We call on the government to establish an official Commission of Inquiry headed by a chief justice from the Supreme Court to fully investigate the circumstances of this conflict and its underlying causes.
We fully support the soldiers of the IDF, send our condolences to the bereaved families, wish a speedy recovery to the wounded, and demand intensive action designed towards the immediate release of the abducted soldiers.
The petition can be signed at

14. Bibi as Prime Minister
I am sure he learned from his past mistakes & he will make a great Prime Minister. Olmart will never learn from his mistakes. He must be removed.
I remember 1976. 104 of our Jewish loved ones were taken hostage in Uganda. At the same time Israel was negotiating for their release Israel under Yitzchak Rabin who behind the scenes planned a very secret daring comando raid that released the hostages. Israel was a hero than. Something simular to what took place in 1976 should have been executed in this situation as well.
Israel did not have a plan & enough intelligence to really start this war & we are now paying for a terrible loss.

19. NUTTY ISRAEL LEFT AND COWARDS
AS A HARDLINE SUPPORTER OF ISRAEL, WATCHING FROM AMERICA, I AM ASTOUNDED BY HOW FAR TO THE BOLSHEVIK LEFT ARE THE SURRENDER CROWD. APPARENTLY TOO MANY ISRAELIS NEVER LEARNED TO GET OVER THEIR MARXIST ATTACHMENTS, BORN IN EUROPE, NOT USA.
HERE IN AMERICA, WE ARE MUCH MORE RESILIENT, MORE INDEPENDENT WITH A CONSTITUTION WHICH GUARANTEES ALL OUR FREEDOMS, AND WOULD NEVER THINK OF CAVIN G IN TO THE ARAB NEW-NAZIS. I ATTRIBUTE THE DIFFERENCE TO OUR AMERICAN CONSTITUTION, WHICH GIVES US ALL THE FREEDOMS WE HAVE BUT DOES NOT PERMIT THE WIDESPREAD GOVT CORRUPTION ON THE LEFT, THAT ISRAEL ENDURES. YOUR ALLEGED 'PEACE CROWD' ARE SICKENING. THEY COMES FROM EUROPEAN MARXIST-SOCIALIST ROOTS., BROUGHT OVER BY YOUR PIONEERS. COURAGEOUS, YES, BUT MARXISTS NEVERTHELESS, WHO HAVE KEPT YOUR NATION ON THE EDGE SINCE 1947.
