1. Oh FFS.
Meir Moses   (08.16.06)
Do we really believe these people are Nazis? Do we believe the Evening Standard are still Fascists? Do we really believe the Telegraaf in Holland is still collaborating? Yes, we learn from history, but this is ridiculous.
2. Commies and Nazis, together again after all these years!
Steve ,   Austin   (08.16.06)
3. Left shoots self in foot (again)
Chaim Tovim ,   Eretz   (08.16.06)
Thank G-d, Hitlavnu v'hitbararu. Finally the leftist press is becoming open and transparent. Our most self hating leftist media has joined forces with one of the most virulent Jew hating media rags of the previous century. I suggest Haaretz invite Pravda to also join this business deal. Now we can see the utter foolishness of the left. What businessman would intentionally sabotage their own business in such an open manner? What kind of Jew would buy and support a newspaper after engaging in a stunt like this? It would be a very good idea to short Haaretz' stock since even the most myopic observer can easily foresee the mad rush to the exits by their subscriber & advertiser base. On the other hand, perhaps it was actually a smart move on Haaretz' part - they've been working for the dismantling and destruction of our nation for a long time now and like Halutz and our Arab enemies, they can probably 'smell the blood' now that our corrupt (4 cases currently) administration created the opening for the 'final solution' (G-d forbid) imagined by the Nazis and now the Arabs, as well. Obviously, Haaretz has decided the end is approaching anyway so why not offload their assets onto the most beloved of our gentile friends (suckers) Let us all finally MERIT the coming of Moshiach b'karov!
4. Listen up! The Nazis were defeated! Gone! Finished! Over!
Adamush   (08.16.06)
Haaretz is not going to turn into Der Sturmer because of this deal. Get a grip, you morons.
5. Why Blame The Son For The Acts Of His Father?
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (08.16.06)
Is the son a Nazi? If so, then judge him as such. If not, then leave him alone. Judge him for who he is and what he does- and ONLY on this.
6. What's the Big Deal?
World Citizen ,   the world   (08.16.06)
Most of the Zionist organizations of the 30s and 40 actively worked with the Nazis to establish the modern state of Israel on occupied Palestine. Every read the book "51 Documents the Zionists Don't Want You to Know About "?
7. ...had no choice but to comply with the dictates of a dictat
(08.16.06)
There is ALWAYS a choice. Each of us has the liberty of making choices daily. Conscquences follow those choices. Haaretz also had a choice. Money is the name of their game. I did hours of research and I too have a choice based on what I learned about this deal and the DuMont family. I choose not to read or support any cause or product associated with Haaretz.
8. Ynet forum editor. I forgot to ente my name on previous post
ilana   (08.16.06)
that I will not support Haaretz. Please fix it or post it. thank you, ilana
9. Is there really a problem?
A ,   UK   (08.16.06)
It seems that Delta Galil Industries has Hugo Boss amongst its clients. Wasn't Hugo Boss who both designed and manufactured uniforms and attire for the troops and officers of the Wehrmacht as well as for other governmental branches of Nazi Germany, including the SS? So if a hardworking Israeli company can manufacture Hugo Boss goods, is there really a problem with Haaretz getting close to another post-Nazi Germany company?
10. Why is Haaretz Nazi ties a surprise?
RA   (08.16.06)
Have you ever read their articles? I think they hate Jews more than Arabs do.
11. We already knew that Haaretz has no morality
(08.16.06)
12. Nazis and Ha'aretz
Yariv ,   Tel Aviv   (08.16.06)
The most famous Ha'aretz correspondents came (or their parents came) from Germany. They go to this meetings where they talk about the good life in Germany in late 30s. They travel to Germany and some have families in Germany now. Believe me that current German socialists have a similar ideology. There is no difference between Red Brigades (where they all come from) SS of Hitler.
13. Shame on you
Alain ,   Montreal Canada   (08.16.06)
No wonder gentiles think of us the way they do. Everything can be justified, if the price is right, naturally. What I dont understand is why this german publishing house still exists. Like another poster has commented, we beat the nazis, poof, they're gone! Or are they?
14. The two are in good company together!
(08.16.06)
15. rename the paper Nazi Palestinian Daily!
(08.16.06)
16. Haaretz and the new partners
Jonathan S ,   Frankfurt, Germany   (08.16.06)
Now I'm understanding better why Haaretz is censoring comments unfavorable to Germany. Let it be known that the new owners publish an anti-Israel newspaper in Frankfurt with a Middle-East "expert" who studied in Damascus and is praising the Assad regime.
17. Germans Love Haaretz
Hildagard ,   Berlin   (08.16.06)
I always enjoyed reading Haaretz and thought that it was a true off-shoot of the our long lost DiSturma. Yes, I have to admire Haaretz for the great similarity in believe that our past (but not forgotten) paper espoused.
18. What's the Surprise re: Haaretz
Jenny ,   NYC   (08.16.06)
What is all the fuss about? So they sold 25% to a German paper, once the mouthpiece of Himmler, Goering and the rest of the Devils. No, this generation had nothing to do with all this... whew, what a relief. Probably what Haaretz thinks too. I am just wondering what is all the noise about Haaretz and the German paper's Nazi past. After all, Haaretz has the same sentimentality... They drip with venom when writing about anything to do with the love of Israel and all those dedicate to Her. They hate the settlers (what's left of them) and what they stand for. Expressing love of one's country (Israel) is to be made fun of and looked upon as just a bunch of ignorant neanderthals... far removed from them. Let's not forget how they just adore the Cheredi population. People who spend their lives learning Torah and dedicated completely to Mitzvot. For Haaretz and Co. they are just cavemen and parasites. So anyone who love Israel, wants to increase a Jewish presence in the Land, want to learn Torah and live by Mitzvot.....well who the hell needs them.. So what is the big difference between the German paper that was once a mouthpiece of Nazism and Haaretz that is just a rag of a paper against anything and everything that is Torah Oriented.... I rest my case.
19. The son has been supporting shoa-survivors
Yaron ,   Tel Aviv   (08.16.06)
No matter who the father was and what he did for whatever reasons, I happen to know that the son has been financially supporting survivors of the shoa for decades - privately. He certainly is not a Nazi.
20. Hildagard

HILDAGARD ,   BERLIN   (08.17.06)

24. Re: #23/Hildagard
Morris ,   Albany, NY, USA   (08.17.06)
It's a Hebrew word for "nonsense." I'll let you figure out the rest...
25. This will all end with crying
Shinderpal Jandu ,   Toronot , Canada   (08.17.06)
This will all end with crying
26. Another reason not to read Haaretz
Mark from New York   (08.17.06)
Sometimes when I read Haaretz I felt they were 25% owned by Aljazeera Publishing Inc. - so I stopped reading it. Now I have another reason not to read this ultra-left, sissy, terrorist-loving newspaper.. Thanks!!
27. #23
kippy   (08.17.06)
shtuyot means bullshit.
28. jews were saved by neven dumont
saul a. readner   (08.17.06)
there exists a german interview (http://www.anne-luetkes.de/index.php?interview_zur_familiengeschichte) with a politician who confirms that neven dumont saved two of her relatives (her mother and her aunt) by hiding them within the neven-dumont-family. i wonder why this chapter isn't mentioned in this article.
29. to No.23
lee   (08.17.06)
"shtuyot" does NOT mean bullshit it means - nonsence.
30. Where the Right and the Left are united
Jonathan S ,   Frankfurt, Germany   (08.17.06)
That the old Nazi-dynasties are again in power in Germany is no secret. What is worrying however is the fact that Haaretz and Avi Primor are cited in extreme right-wing circles as well as by the German Left when it comes to besmirch Israel’s image. Primor is the useful idiot in every political talk show whose aim is mainly Israel-bashing. So that the Germans, where polls indicate that 75% are against Israel, must not openly expose their own hate against the Jewish State. They have marionettes.
