The Arab armies/countries have ALWAYS survived the wars against Israel. Israel has never wiped out the Arab armies. to mr. jumblatt the IDF was 3 kms from the litani, i really think it is senseless to say the israeli army made no advances. of course they made advances, although slow and at a painful price but had the security council not issue a cease fire resolution israeli troops would have had southern lebanon virtually to themselves by now. as for hizballah actually winning this war, let's look at the figures again. lebanese officials have said it will cost nearly $4 billion if not more to undu the damage. hundreds of hizballah terrorists were killed. thousand of lebanese civilians killed. hizballah may lose its base in the south for good. i would hardly call that a victory. while hizballah is certainly trying to show it is victorious on its propaganda stations given that they held IDF forces back more than a month, i think even the hizballah know that they took big hits. as for israel i'm sure an investigation will be conducted and lessons will be learned. one thing is for sure, if olmert's government will fall, and if someone like bibi or lieberman come to power, lebanon is f*cked.

The IDF most certainly made some errors , but it was forced to fight a 'stop-start' war by dickhead politicians - and made significant advances even though its advantages on the ground were weakened. Israel is not like any other country. We were given this land by Hashem to keep the laws of the Torah. If we will keep these laws then we will be successful in everything we do and that also means fighting our enemies. This secular government must GO and be replaced by a government which stands for Jewish morality, Jewish pride, Jewish behaviour and Jewish law.
