US: We'll push for Hizbullah's disarmament in UN     News Agencies
31. #25
I agree with most of your post except for the title. I'd reverse it. GWB is too inept for this, and having the UN disarm Hezbollah? Will never happen. What was UN Resolution 1559 about? Hesbollah being disarmed by the Lebanese? Not. There will be another conflict between Hezbollsh*t and Israel. Hopefully, the world will see past the PR Hezbollsh*t puts up. http://www.zombietime.com/reuters_photo_fraud/

32. Thank you #29
Your words are as true as the light of day and etched in stone. Sadly, it will never happen. We are too busy propping up governments who don't care to prop themselves up. We have our eyes on the wrong ball and that ball will undoubtedly explode right in all our faces. I was one of the biggest supporters of the Iraq war. Now I see the iraqi's are not ready to govern themselves or their destiny. This they must do on their own. We can no longer do it for them. We really did not fail they failed themselves. But we must be able to see this and admit it and leave to kill the bigger fish that threaten to kill us sooner then latter. Our world is in great peril from Iran and Syria and all the rotten terrorist roaches from here to there and back again. We took our eyes off the bigger prize and now we pay. Is it too late? Well, as each day passess I fear it is.

33. UN sets the law, but no Enforcement
What organisation is this? Can one imagine a country with Parliamentary laws but no police force to ensure its citizens abiding the law? UN have to rely on renegade country like US for enforcement and deterrent which of cos made a lot of enemies. In my mind, UN and Adnan @ the helm is totally USELESS. The most they would do is slap the bad guys on the wrist.

"this guy is an idiot, and Olmert and Co, and more idiots then him by following him any direction he goes. and you israelis, are in the same train. IQ: 2" Coming from a guy who lives in a terrorist haven, you have no room to talk.

35. I can not believe there is still somebody who listens to thi
When we say that a person is a donkey, that means he is stupid. Later, I read that a donkey is smarter than a mouse. So, I started calling stupid people, including Gerge W. Bush, mice. One time, my son,8 years old, was acting stupid; so, I told him he is a mouse. He answered angrily ," I am not Bush". Even my son refuses to be like this idiot. He considers himself smarter.

"There are many people, who are thinking that the main problem maker for the present crisis is The United States of America, which wanted Israel to start the war." Really? You mean to tell me that George Bush somehow infiltrated the terrorist organization of Hezbollah in order to brainwash them into marching into Israel, killing Israeli soldiers and then kidnap two of them. Did George Bush also use his top secret hurricane device on New Orleans too?

38. 11 Are you the king then.. Hizbullah was defeated.
And now with the help of the lebanese government it seems. They are on the way to new recruits and more weapons.. That would seem to be the case to me.. Very sad day for Lebanon indeed as we are going to have another repeat of the previous skirmishes.. SAD>...

You dont even mention Iran.. plug in Iran and then get back to us... thanks..

41. 25 Yes that is likely the case.
The UN has been shown to be quite impotent. So yes, it would seem that it is up to the IDF to rid the world of the islamic fascists in lebanon....

45. Smell a trap..
we as Americans accept any comment, whether we agree on, or disagree with. It makes the core of democracy where every person is entitled to his or her opinion. From your post I assume that you think that our 300 million strong population is made out of a fabric of idiots...............Say what you want about Bush the idea is this ..Iran making the UN look bad and fail in everyones eyes is about nothing but the nucleur program..your un-rest ,Israel with the goverment the people squealing about their leaders..Our country was providing a sovereign nation with a commodity that was bought and paid for, Iran and Syria where providing a civilian militia that committed an act of crime according to the UN charter (Crossing international borders and killing and kidnapping). Big difference between a sovereign nations and a rogue militia. If you read some of the posts here, you would think that "UN 1701" applies only to Israel, what happened with the requirement of Iran and Syria, how about HizBullah disarming? As long as some of the parties are not abiding by the resolution, same will occur with this one as with previous ones. Do you know why Israel wanted the Lebonon Army at the border? Do you smell a trap; do you think that with the Lebanese Government's representations that someone else would be held accountable when Iran’s puppets make their next move? Next time –Unfortunately- it will be very costly for the entire nation of Lebanon, but again, maybe this is exactly what Iran and Syria want, and it is a real shame to see that the Lebanese themselves don't see that. Oh Iran is playing war games ... It is always a guarentee that when we fight for our freedom we loose our finest...then evrybody backs off...the mothers cry and they call our leaders murderers..they turn on their own..it happens everytime..proxy in Lebonon and Israel Maybe syria too...and you are just the sacraficial lambs ..If they discredit the UN ....Boom.....there will never be peace.. ever..

Seems to me that you're the idiot. Unless you've been to Iraq and seen what Hussein did to his people, you're not qualified to judge. Another "brilliant" miltary expert with no clue whatsoever opens his mouth and inserts his foot ...get a life .

I read you and I imagine that you are in Israel or in the frontline in lebanon. Who by hell told you that Canada is part of this war to say"we are going to have another repeat of the previous skirmishes"? Canada doesn't support baby killers, canadian don't like Israel for it's action in lebanon and for the crimes they are having against Palastinians in Gaza. If you don't know that, just remember the big demostrations in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, and other cities where people shouted against the war and against Israel for killing babies. next time if you wanna talk as Israeli, don't put Canada name next to your comments, and you gotta honor the Canadians who died in lebanon, the civilian ones, and the UN observer who was brutally killed by israel.

48. # 36 You are right
"#36: ... George Bush somehow infiltrated the terrorist organization of Hezbollah in order to brainwash them into marching into Israel, killing Israeli soldiers and then kidnap two of them..." You got it. CIA guys somehow managed to get Hezbollah to act. So that Israel IDF had an excuse to counteract. Pentagon 'advisors' told already in April that the war against Iran will need first a war against Hezbollah. Now we have seen that war. But we have seen as well that it wasn't any success for Americans or for IDF. Hezbollah seems to be stronger than ever. We'll see, what is GWB's next 'act'. Maybe he must with his 'advisors' now rewrite his plans concerning Iran.

49. Disarm Hizbullah and Money
Is there anyone on the planet that actually thinks the UN can accomplish anything except waste money? The UN Disarm Hizbullaah...HA HA HA . Speaking of money…Mr. Bush check with the Secretary of the Treasure, but I think we are broke, and if not… try giving some of that Lebanon money to your own people. Anytime something happens on the planet the President gives away our money. Let Iran pay for Lebanon.

52. Misinformed Moe.
True canada or any terrorist hating, peace loving country would not support hizbullah. Thats why they have been decreed a terror organization. Something you failed to take notice. And yes, I do have friends in Lebanon. They personally cant stand what Hizbullah has done to the country. And friends that are jewish as well. If you like gaza, go move there make the world a better place if you like. Personally, Hizbullah and Hamass and their ideology is depressing, and gives no hope for a better world. But then again I guess fascism just isnt my blood.. Have a nice day mo. Im sure well talk again soon...

53. Iran?
From above: "We'll see, what is GWB's next 'act'. Maybe he must with his 'advisors' now rewrite his plans concerning Iran." My view is that the war in Lebanon was a kind of show for Iran, what might happen. Now there is still some time, let's hope that GWB and his advisors will now try negotiating with the leaders of Iran to find a way out of the crisis. I think that for leaders of Lebanon it will difficult to accept GWB's offer of 230 million dollars for rebuilding.

54. Italy to lead UN force in Lebanon
I see that Italy is to lead the UN force in Lebanon. Is this the same Italy whose 'peacekeeping force' some six years ago betrayed Israeli soldiers to the PLO for financial reward, resulting in their deaths? Mike
