1. Typical Problem with Liberalism
Chester ,   Dallas   (08.21.06)
Instead of preparing for the possibility of attack, they beleive everything can be solved thru dialouge. War is near, get your Army prepared, and start training an Army that is capable of winning a war. Learn new tactics for offense and defenese. Invest your time for preperation for possible war, looking very likely. Re-train the Army and reservists in guerrila tactics now.
2. step down
leah   (08.21.06)
quickly and get bibi back in the hot seat
3. This is a disgrace
Elle   (08.22.06)
Why only 200??? There should be 200,000 at least asking them to resign. Don't be like the Lebanese, get up and fight for what you believe in- and NONE of you believe in Olmert, Peretz or Halutz.

6. "Decency demands that they quit"?
myron ,   USA   (08.22.06)
No, it's logic, and a will to survive that demand that they quit--QUIT TODAY -Aug 21st.!!! Let them retire in Cannes, Fwantz, where they can watch the anti-American, Anti-Semitic Cannes Film F****tival.
7. Israel must prepare quickly
myron ,   USA   (08.22.06)
Olmert and Peretz are NOT capable of quickly converting a conventional army into a primarily GUERILLA army, supported, secondarily, by a conventional air force, tank force, etc. Israel needs military and poilitical leaders who can make this necessary conversion. Peretz and Olmert are themselves conventional hacks, they cannot think "out of the (Fwench) box."
8. Pathetic
malcolm   (08.22.06)
350 neo-Nazis marched to honor Rudolf Hess' death anniversary this weekend. This is all Israel can come up with after a governmental disaster of historic proportions? Where is the famous Israeli democracy? I guess it is under the spell of Iran and is fast asleep. Olmert and Teheran dance tonight.
9. Kick them out
Michael ,   USA   (08.22.06)
This trio likes the power. They will not go by themself. They must be kicked out. Only mass demonstrations can do it.

11. JEW DEPORATION TOP PRIORITY for Israeli Leaders-NOT DEFENSE
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.22.06)
The money urgently needed for Israel's defense was spent on deporting 10,000 Gaza and north Samaria Jews. After the 1967 Six Day War, the American Joint Chiefs of Staff' report stated Israel can only be defensible if it retains Judea, Samaria, Gaza and the Golan. Israel's security is betrayed by treasonous leaders inside and outside Israel who demand ethnic Jew cleansing of strategic Judea and Samaria for the installation of global Islamic Terror State Two - a gift to global jihadists PA/PLO, Hamas, Al Qaida Hizbullah-Syria-Iran. Hizbullah are fully trained and armed with advanced, sophisticated military equipment. The IDF entered the war with lack of training, lack of food, missing equipment and with old equipment. The IDF were held back for weeks from defending Israel. Israel must inform the U.S. that every nation has the right of defense against unprovoked attacks of war from another country. Iran's terrorist army, Hizbullah, attacked Israel with over 4,000 rockets packed will ball bearings to maximize the suffering of Israeli victims. Images show Hizbullah using high-density residential areas to launch rockets: http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,,19955774-5007220,00.html The U.S. EU UN via the UN resolution were highly successful in their goal of preventing Israel's main goal: eliminating the rocket threat to Israel. If Israel is to survive, Israel must have strong, new leaders immediately. JPost.com Israel Aug. 10, 2006 9:55 | Updated Aug. 10, 2006 9:56 US pressure prompts delay of offensive By YAAKOV KATZ AND AP The IDF General Staff postponed the expansion of ground operations in south Lebanon late Wednesday night, after the security cabinet earlier in the day approved a plan for a widened offensive that would take the army to the Litani River, over 20 kilometers from the border, and beyond, in an effort to prevent the incessant Katyusha rocket attacks on northern Israel. The troops were already rolling late Wednesday when they were ordered to halt. It appears heavy US pressure delayed the offensive to allow diplomacy to run its course... "We want an end to violence and we do not want escalations," White House press secretary Tony Snow said Wednesday hours after the Israeli Cabinet approved an expansion of the ground offensive in southern Lebanon.

13. lost war
Mk ,   USA   (08.22.06)
The gang of 4 has to go now. The tired Prime Minister, the stock investor, the Alzheimers great great grandfather, and the housewife type "Marlin Monroe" should go back to the kitchen.
14. Freedom of Speech
lynne ,   manor texas usa   (08.22.06)
Whether or not you agree with these protestors, it is good to see that differences of opinion are tolerated and that people can speak up without fear of retribution. Israel has a wonderful democracy.
15. Olmert needs to go get out of office you coward Olmert
Adam ,   USA   (08.22.06)
I am 100% with you reservists he failed you on the front lines and he failed on the home front! What a terrible prime minister. Then he only has the balls to visit a school; a school, I cannot beleive this he doesnt even visit residents houses or apartments that were hit in Kiryat Shmona. He is a coward and cannot face the people that he failed in their most dire time of need. Maybe people will wake up and elect a strong leader like Benjamin Netanyahu. He leads with poise and character and can orate Israel's point of view and problems to the world very well while still being able to back up his words with strong action if necessary. This is exactly what Israel needs adne veryone should vote for him. No soldier should ever have to go scrounging around for food or be hungry until the next batch of food supplies comes around. Second of all you should also protest to make the government increase the militaries budget to buy new supplies of M16's to night vision goggles, to bullet proof vests, and helmets, boots and trucks to get the troops on the front lines water and food rations so that they can keep on fighting strong and hard. I have never heard of the Israeli reserve army beign in such bad logisitical support and low supplies of everything from socks to boots, to water, to food. This is madness and should be corrected at once. Thank god someone is protesting and for once the right reasons!!
16. Logic
Gedaliah   (08.22.06)
Friends, Concessions, disengagements, and "peace agreements," do not help us one bit. I am not saying this on a political level or on a religious level, but rather on the level on common sense and logic. Our arab neighbors do not want peace, this has been stated by them over and over again. Peace is a relative term...Peace comes through security, not through diplomacy. We must be out for ourselves right now..no one is out for us. "If I am not for myself, who will be for me?" This part of Hillel's quote needs to be taken seriously. It is unfortunate that kind gestures do not work, but we must wake up from our folly and admit to ourselves that we have to be strong and firm and not give in for our own survival.
17. NO Goverment fall until Oct.
mike ,   phila, usa   (08.22.06)
Parliment is the only force that can bring down this goverment. Kadima and Labor and two coalition wimps that are not going anywhere unless, there are defections and When the new Knesset convenes in Oct, likud and make a motion to dissolve the goverment.
18. Israel Will Not Survive Olmert/Peretz
Jerry ,   NYC, USA   (08.22.06)
As a matter of national survival, these incompetent cowards must be thrown out, before it is too late. War is coming, these idiots must go for Israel to prevail.
19. Super Mario and Luigi
Uri ,   Canada   (08.22.06)
Super Mario And Luigi must resign ASAP. The next war is at hand. God protect us if these computer characters are heading the government. Show them the exit door please. Bring Bibi back to power....

23. #22 What is wring with Likud?
Georgette ,   Los Angeles, US   (08.22.06)
or what is right Kadima? It appears that they are getting you backward to a dangerous path, not forward
24. Support the reservists
Georgette ,   Los Angeles, US   (08.22.06)
They know what they are talking about. For Israel's sake and for Jews all over the world: GET RID OFF THIS LEADERSHIP (If we can call it that)
25. #22 'or worse' - you mean Meretz ?
michael ,   tel aviv & london   (08.22.06)
the truth is that almost nobody in Kadima supports Olmert anymore. He even stabbed Livni in the back recently. Sensible thing to do would be to resign thus showing that he can sometimes even if not often make a correct decision. His days as PM are obviously numbered so it's a question of whether he wants to go gracefully and with some dignity or be tossed out like the morning garbage.
26. Those are the witness of the disaster
(08.22.06)
Those were in the hell and saw what's happend ... those prove the victory of Hizballah .... what's Olmert and Peretz waiting for they should be soon in trial in Israel as nation disaster causers and in Holland as war criminals .
27. OLMERT MUST GO.

28. Olmert, Peretz, Livni, Halutz ...........
Avraham ,   Netivot   (08.22.06)
Olmert, Peretz, Livni, Halutz & the rest of this inept government must be brought down now. We will never win if these idiots are still in power. We need Bibi to be the next P.M.
29. A Plan For Quick Regime Change in Israel
Reuven Daitch ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (08.22.06)
In light of the leadership vacuum in the government and the army, the likelihood of a new war with Hezbollah, and the looming threat of a nuclear Iran, the State of Israel cannot afford to waste precious months waiting for the Knesset to decide on a vote of no confidence, followed by several more months of election campaigning. Here is my proposal: Twelve former Likudniks in Kadima band together to remove Ehud Olmert, Tsipi Livni, and Amir Peretz, from power by deciding collectively to return to Likud and throw their support to Bibi Netanyahu. Likud then makes a deal with Yisrael Biteinu, Shas, Aguda, and the NRP to form a National Emergency Coalition which supports the return of Moshe Ya'alon as Army Chief of Staff. Likud then becomes the largest party in the Knesset and, after a few days of discussions, 62 MKs, led by Bibi, join together to form a new government and appoint Avigdor Liberman ad Minister of Defense. The twelve MKs that would pull off such a "palace coup" would be: Meir Sheetrit, Marina Solodkin, Shaul Mofaz, Tzahi Hanegbi, Gideon Ezra, Avraham Hirchson, Roni Bar-On, Ze'ev Boim, Ya'acov Edri, Majallie Whbee, Ruhama Avraham, Eli Aflalo.
30. When will Israelis wake up?
Elle ,   NYC   (08.22.06)
I know we are from America and the diaspora telling you what to do, but don't you think we care about our fellow Jews and for Eretz Yisrael, our homeland? We want you to survive and have a good life and this is not possible with terrible leaders. Before the election 90% + of the Diaspora talkbacks advised not to vote for Olmert. Do you think we were doing this to harm you? At the Israeli Day Parade in June, way before this current debacle, there were 1 million+ Israel supporters. I saw hundreds of anti-OImert signs and not one pro-Olmert sign. Does this not tell you something? Take back your country from this useless idiot before it's too late. Do EVERYTHING you can.
