Keep dreaming. Arab violence will only make the hearts of Israelis more like stone. Keep pushing them , and one day you will find yourself sitting in jordan.

You've got to wake up and smell the coffee. Hizbullah did more than cover the spread. They gained a lot of ground in the Arab world for the stance they took and defended against Israel. For the efforts and expediency of the recovery to Lebanon and her people, who are now more inclined to support them than they are the "elected" officals of the government. Oh sure Israel may have won the battles IF by that you mean they inflicted a higher body count, or yielded more damage to the bridges and buildings etc. but it's foolish to think that they "won" this skirmish. The Israeli government and the IDF are in a state of shock and confusion over what happened, who's to blame, and what do "we" do next time. Hizbullah is NOT going to go away. Granted they remain the lap dogs of Syria and Iran, and until these two entities are dealt with, shall continue to be a thorn in the paw of Israel.
7. Who won the War
Simon ,   London UK   (08.27.06)
Do me a favour. The debate may be who won the battle, but Israel lost the war, Get real. Forgive me but is the IDF still sat in Lebanon? Is the UN having to put soldiers in to Lebanon to replace them. Isn't the case that Hezbollah was quoted as saying in 1982 the Jews wouldn't dare to ever come back to Lebanon?. Lets get some prospective here. If the Arab street was driven by logic instead of religious rhetoric they would realise that the best way to beat the West would be to make peace with Israel rather than try and destroy Israel. The problem is they believe there own proganda that the Jews control the world.

You people are really deluded. So Israel could have done better, agreed, but to say that Hisbollah was victorious is just nonsense. This great "resistance" movement caused another occupation where one did not exist before. They brought destruction to the South, which they are now rebuilding. Their own city within a city is no more, in Beirut. The Lebanese army is restricting Syrian weapons transfers to them (at least for now) and has deployed in the south. There are more Hisbollah prisoners in Israel than before, not to mention the number of Hizbollah fighters killed. Hisbollah is no longer standing on Israel's border and the chance of Hisbollah daring to continue their cross border attacks as they have been doing for the last six years is much less despite the fact that according to them Israe's deterrant factor has been diminished. Clearly the threat of having large parts of your country destroyed is no deterrant to deluded individuals (so why are they complaining about Israel's "over reaction"?). The reason the Arab Muslim world is so backward is clear for all to see from their interpretation of Hisbollah as a victorious.
10. When a Arab kills a Jew. They hand out
ERIC,,, ,   ISRAEL   (08.27.06)
sweets, like they have won the war. We won the war thats for sure, but not the way we should have.Hizbullah got there asses kicked real good.I feel sorry for the innocent civilians. But that you can blame that lunatic Nasrallah.
11. Who really won?
Adam Segal ,   Raanana, Israel   (08.27.06)
Israel may have owned Hizbula in battle but due to the incompetence of the Israeli governent, we lost soldiers in vain and hizbula gained political standing. Halutz is starting to sound like these arab idiots such as bagdhad bob with his ridiculous statements.
12. Hezbollah lost but still won.
S Judah ,   london   (08.27.06)
This is the absurdety of it all. In any pure counting game Hezbollah lost big. In terms of killed, captured, land , infrastructure destroyed etc. However propaganda wise they won, why? because of boastfull comments that were made by some in Israel that were not met and because they still fired rockets at the end. It is clear that had the IDF approched the matter differently and without the now well known political stop and start interference Hezbollah would have lost the propaganda war and suffered significant damage. If the Arab world are pinning their hope on Hezbollah they are making a serious mistake. And if you listen to Lebanese ( he may just be hopeful of course ) who has said Hezbollah are not the same as before and wouldn't dare attack Israel again after the massive destruction suffered by Lebanon. What does that tell you?
13. The new Middle EAst
Persian CAT   (08.27.06)
This says it all, "We expected a tent and three Kalashnikovs – that was the intelligence that we'd received. Instead, we found a hydraulic steel door.." This shows the typical attitude of the Zionists towards the Arabs and Muslims. The West and Zionists both are still thinking about the Arabs and Muslims as their illiterate, country bumpkin servants. But thanks to Iran the ME is under new management and you Zionist will be forced to appreciate the New and Improved Muslims, who can break your code and your balls too.
14. Ultimate Victory
Fern ,   Colombia   (08.28.06)
We have to judge this war as a iranian test of Israel capabilities for coming higher scale battles. Remember, hezbolla is iranian army not a simple terrorist movement.. So, we must learn to really win

C'mon now, you've GOT to use your own brain to think about what has happened as opposed to regurgitating what you see and hear on the "news". To make this real simple for you, what "started" this latest skirmish? 12July06, Hizbollah raids a border outpost, after an exchange of gunfire and the death of a couple of IDF soldiers, an additional two of them are kidnapped and STILL held hostage. So what did Israel win? They proved that they can destroy cities and bridges from 30,000 ft. Did they gain the freedom of the kidnapped soldiers.... ummm NOPE, not yet! So what did Israel win? You have to think in broader terms than the destruction of lives and mortar & bricks. If in fact you are in Israel, then you should have a better grasp of the "Arab" mindset, and the implications of the 34 day battle. Trust me, my friend, Hizbollah did NOT loose the "war". Now that the focus of the International Community has been drawn to Israel, she is left to sit on her hands, while Hizbollah garners favor for their efforts and expediency in the reconstruction of Lebanon. Oh sure the Hizbollah fighters will be "out" of southern Lenanon *wink*wink* as will the IDF, and replaced by a UNSF. Do you really think that Hizbollah is leaving? Are you sure that Syria is going to stop the transfer of arms? Is there a certainty in your mind that the rockets and missile will never cross the Northern Border? Give it some thought....
